Meteora Greece - Suspended in Air

- I put this aerial drone video together to display the phenomenal beauty of Meteora Greece during the fall from a perspective that few people have ever seen before.
This video was shot entirely using the DJI Inspire Pro Drone, the new X5 Micro 4/3 Camera and MFT 15mm f/1.7 Lens. Editing and color grading was done using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Meteora holds a very special place in my heart since it was one of the first places I visited back in 2010 when I was aggressively trying to build my travel photography portfolio. I knew it would be the perfect location to put my new DJI X5 Camera to good use.

I went here last summer, literally, because of this video alone.
Santorini gets all the love when it comes to Greece but the floating monasteries of meteora are without a doubt the most amazing thing I remember from my trip to that country.

Yes, but if the people would know what I know about Greece, then you know that Meteora, Santorini and so on are only a FRACTION of the immense beauty of Greece. Absolutely gorgeous! The Greek isles are breathtaking, but Meteora is the countries hidden gem. I was there a little over a year ago and got some cool shots with my Mavic. This takes me back
Not just Meteora. Vikos gorge, Athos, Prespes, Tymfi mountain, Aoos gorge, Acheloos valley,Tzoumerka mountains, Pindus mountains, Agrafa mountains, Evrytania, Epirus, Rhodope mountains and so on and so on and so on are all breathtaking regions on mainland Greece that is atleast as beautiful as the islands

I have spent a while trying to pick out an ideal holiday for me in Greece and later this year I will head to Meteora, for sure. Meteora looks and sounds very rich in all sorts of qualities. Should be as memorable as the handful of other places I've been to... China, Colombia and Iran. Yep! :) Awesome video, by the way, definitely helps confirm my choice! +Russell Nicholls Don't be surprised if your footage doesn't look like Elia's. The camera is great, but this video is the work of an expert photographer, videographer, and editor. I have had an X5 for two months, and don't yet have a single second of footage as good as this.
And pay close attention to what Elia says in his FStoppers article (fstoppers.com/aerial/dji-inspire-pro-and-x5-camera-review-absolute-game-changer-104950):
"Just like any other form of landscape photography, times of day are just as crucial in the air as they are on the ground. So with everything I shoot, regardless of altitude or camera, I always do my best to focus around the golden hours, sunrises, and sunsets - when the light is both soft and beautiful. What you’re seeing in this video is multiple days of shooting around the same times of day so the edit looks consistent throughout."
+Martin Del Vecchio Just like with all photo and video related devices, it just takes some practice to get the hang of it. And yes, you can definitely get better results working during the magic lighting times of day. I certainly don't want the learning curve to discourage anyone though, it really doesn't take much time to become proficient. :)
+Elia Locardi When the X5 was first released, many of the early videos were met with "That footage is soft and looks terrible; the X3 is better!" Much of this was due to the early footage being out of focus, as most drone operators weren't used to thinking about focus. And beyond that, the X5 requires focus calibration for each lens, which wasn't always done properly.
Your footage looks incredible, which I chalk up to 1) your extensive skills in photography, 2) your choice of location, and 3) your choice of golden hour. We don't have much control over 2), and 1) takes time and effort. But 3) is an easier thing.
