    Venge is an aero race bike. If you need a relaxed position go for Roubaix. Saying that venge is worse than madone because of aggresive geo is stupid.

    What electronical issues are you talking about? I’ll take electronic over mechanical all day.

    Im actually looking for a manufacturer of road frames that make a WIRELESS frames only. I use sram etap but still have to cover holes for DI2

    As a double Venge owner (Vias and 2020), my advice is the following; buy the S-works frame set and equip it with Ultegra, some good wheels and it will cost less than the Venge Pro and will offer a better performance. As for the Madone, the model is becoming old. In fact, I think the actual Madone is just a bit better than the old Venge Vias.

    This comparison without providing wind tunnel test data of both bikes is useless.

    If you want less aggressive fit, why are you bothering going for non aero options?

    Interested to see what issues with electronic you’re going to tell us about. I have to say I like the idea of it. But also they should really be innovating a whole new system from the ground up to be electric rather than electrifying an old one.

    Great video Danny.. how do they compare with Canyon Aeroad in your opinion? Is the Canyon better value?

    • @e-sickbiker14
      @e-sickbiker14  Před 5 lety

      Yes, the Aeroad is definitely competitive here.

    You're comparing venge pro to venge s works, but as you correctly state, they have the same frame/fork. Why not compare the venge pro (which is an sworks level frame) to a comparable madene, like the madone slr 7. They are at the same price point have similar aerodynamic data, but the venge pro is significantly lighter.

      Because then he’d have to admit he’s biased to Trek

    Question: If the more generic geometry is probably going to provoke and injury, Why bother selecting that over a non aero bike? And comparing the features, an electronic SLR 7 is 8K, almos the same as the Venge, too bad they don't make mechanical (I agree on that)

    Give a review about merida scultura 500 . Is chainset cheap ? Or what about the price point .

    • @e-sickbiker14
      @e-sickbiker14  Před 5 lety +1

      The Shimano RS500 50-34 crankset is OK. Merida has definitely saved some money there, but it's a good bike.

    NO ONE IN 2020 WILL BUY A MECHANICAL GROUPSET TO PUT ON A VENGE EVEN IF IT SUPPORTED BOTH..... ITS A RACE BIKE... DI2 OR GO HOME!!!!

    Personally, I think that specialized bicycle designs are more efficient, just look at the trajectory of the last 20 years in the winners of the Tour d France or the Giro d Italia,

    You touched an excellent point. Venge stack is lower than madone. This point kept me away of it. Venge will not be good for long ride stiff and aggressive.

    Sorry but the S works doesn’t even come close to the Madone SLR 9 or F12 dogma!

  • @paul_hd1875

    "Problem 1:" Main difference between the S-works and the Pro level Venge... are actually the wheels and bottom bracket. The S-works has CLX64's w/ ceramic bearings as well as a BB w/ Ceramic bearings. Gonna pay for that.
    "Problem 2:" Agree, being limited to mechanical only group might be a draw back. I don't have experience with eTap but I'd imagine it's not as reliable as mechanical.
    I vote Madone for my next bike... even as a Tarmac SL6 owner.

    It's a simple fact that the Venge wins a HELL lot racers that the Trek Madone.. sorry.. your review is all wrong where you're comparing apple and durian. Duh!

      Is not the bike is the rider put Peter Sagan on the madone! The rider has a lot to do with it! Peter Sagan won lots of races with cannondale. If you can’t ride you won’t win races!
