FF characters are what brought me and bulk of fans into KH to begin with. I was expecting a grand presence for Lightning and Noctis - fair enough Noctis got the Yozora cameo appearance and then got a bigger role in the DLC BUT he should of been on the base game to begin with! To those saying it’s too many characters to put FF characters well in worst case scenario put fewer like stars from the recent mainline FF and some of the favourites from the previous KH titles. By now it’s clear that FF characters are actually integral to the KH experience and you shouldn’t justify removing something integral - instead we should of got less Disney perhaps 1 less Disney world. It’s becoming wayyy too Disney-heavy and often out of place, a distraction and a major slow down to the main story. I propose the next game KH4 corrects this with a heavy FF presence and take a bold and unique step in having a new co-main character - Yozora/Noctis. About time we had a difference party configuration - let’s get rid of Donald and Goofy and instead have Yozora/Noctis, Riku and/or Kairi alongside Sora. Donald and Goofy can remain major to the story but in the capacity and relevancy level of Mickey. However the fact that we are now in the PS5 era, Sora is missing and Xehanort is finally defeated creates a perfect opportunity to try something new and fresh story arc with KH4 with Yozora as the main protagonist, assimilating him into the context of learning more about Organisation XIII/Master of Masters and have 2 new supporting party members (not Donald and Goofy).
it wasn't even a question if ff characters were integral to the experience. the whole idea was "what if we made a game about disney crossing over with final fantasy" removing the ff cast is literally removing half of the experience and completely destroys the main point of the series. like, beyond the story and hidden meanings or any of that jazz, the core is simply "disney x final fantasy"

Its clearly a loop all characters are programmed to do when they have any speaking lines. Instead of choreographing a scene with movements relevant to the situation like an actual cutscene should have, they just use stock movement for everyone and it's aggravating to watch
I just convinced myself Xehanort used some other random hax power of his to lock them in radiant garden. It made more sense to me than trying to figure out why Squeenix would leave them out.

Bad rushed game how are they gonna forget the key important part of the KH series was “Final Fantasy meets Disney” abandoning that just destroyed the legacy of the series and the reason why it was created. They only added FF characters in the dlc because fans raged so much about it. Sorry Nomura I wanted them in the entire story and I wanted boss fights with Cloud and Leon and Sephiroth and other FF cameos. How evil to not include them more
It's probably the voice director. We know the actors can do much better than this but sometimes if a director is just in a hurry to get stuff completed for a deadline they may just go with the first take or an early line reading like "yup, that'll do" even if the actor knows themselves the take was terrible.
