    💥RRT vs. CRT [Full Guide] ➜ ➜ ➜ bit.ly/3CRLQdR
    ➡️ What's the Difference?
Both CRTs and RRTs are highly skilled professionals who provide lifesaving care to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. They're both licensed and trained to perform the same job duties and are even employed in the same settings. The primary difference between CRTs and RRTs is their level of credentialing. The RRT credential is preferred by many employers because it demonstrates a higher level of knowledge and competence.
    ➡️ Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
A certified respiratory therapist (CRT) is an RT who has obtained the entry-level credential granted by the NBRC. This is the minimum requirement a respiratory therapist needs to apply for a license to practice respiratory care. This credential is obtained by passing the TMC exam with a low-cut score.
    ➡️ Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
A registered respiratory therapist (RRT) is an RT who has obtained the high-level credential granted by the NBRC. This is the highest standard requirement a respiratory therapist needs to apply for a license to practice respiratory care.
    ➡️ Salary
As previously mentioned, the RRT credential is preferred by most employers because it demonstrates a higher level of knowledge and competence. Therefore, RRTs often earn a higher salary than CRTs.
    ➡️ Education Requirements
Both CRTs and RRTs must complete an accredited respiratory therapy program to practice respiratory care. Therefore, the education requirements for both credentials are the same.
➡️ Steps to Become a CRT or RRT
The steps for becoming a CRT or RRT are almost the same as well. This includes the following:
    - Have a Natural Desire to Help Others
    - Graduate from High School
    - Take the Required Prerequisite Courses
    - Apply to Your Favorite Schools
    - Enroll in the Program
    - Complete the Required Coursework
    - Complete the Required Clinical Experience
    - Graduate with an Associates Degree
    - Pass the NBRC Credentialing Exam(s)
    - Apply for a License
    - Apply for a Job

More money is the difference in my opinion. I know a lot of CRT who are more knowledgeable than a RRT💯

Until the healthcare facilities decide this is important, knowledge should matter.

I assume that the details discussed in this video are average across the board for the US. I can attest that in Texas most of the major facilities will not hire a CRT, and if they do, the pay will be significantly reduced; something in the neighborhood of like $20 an hour for CRT versus $30 an hour for RRT. And by major facilities, I mean like level one / level two trauma centers.
I'm not trying to badmouth being a CRT; do your thing. I'm just saying don't go into the situation thinking that CRT and RRT are basically the same because where I am from they are not, and your career will be drastically limited as a CRT. Just a heads up, do with that information what you like.

I don't know what the intent of the OP is with this video. But As A retired Respiratory Therapist who has held both a registration as well as a Certification, I can attest to the fact that there is literally no difference other than pay rates. Although the Pencil necks administrators of many hospitals will always give preferential treatment to those who have more of the mind numbing brainwashing that this countries universities dole out. Even the payrates are often times comparable. after ten years as a Certified Therapist, I developed an interest in possibly pursuing a degree in Nursing and then going on to get my Nurse anesthetist degree. However I settled for my RRT in order to facilitate paying for college. Although I could have made the same money as an RRT even without an advance degree. However wanting to move further into the field as a Nurse Anesthetist I had to get an associate degree along the way anyway. Of course I decided instead to get married, have kids etc... Life !
