Atmospheres are dying across all sports I’ve noticed. Some more noticeable than others, both by sport and team, but it’s pretty much universal. Home advantage isn’t once what it was. I have this whole theory why, but it’d be an essay in itself, and y’all can probably figure out why anyway if you give it a ponder. No doubt in my mind it’s a thing at this point though

Van Gundy's commentary was an all-time shambles this game. We're used to his classic technique of ''I'm going to find 1 obvious talking point at the start of the game and beat you over the head with it 3 times a quarter,'' but this game he stepped it up a notch by parroting analysis that was just blatantly wrong to everyone watching. ''The Heat are constantly getting great wide open looks, they’re just not going in.’’ He said as the C defender contests a 25+ foot moving jumper. ‘’There's absolutely no way the Heat can get back into this game by shooting 2s.''
*SPOILER:* They nearly did. They only lost the chance to do so when Bam killed all their momentum by making a flagrant on Tatum when the ball wasn't even in play (which of course, Van Gundy was adamant wasn't a foul and was entirely Tatum's fault.) ''That's on Tatum. That's the risk you take when you shoot one of those practice shots after the foul. What is Bam supposed to do, just let him take a warm-up shot?'' No, Stan. No. He's supposed to contest the shot *without* fouling his landing space like literally everyone else. Bam is well within his right to contest the shot, just as Tatum is within his right to take it....as long as they don't risk injury on one another in the process. *That's* the risk, but it was taken entirely by Bam going needlessly hard on a bucket that doesn't even count.
Sorry for the vent, but he's utterly insufferable. Was nice to see Shaq & they boys low-key call him out on it at half-time.

The only positive is that we have some depth at position but spacing will suffer. Most teams get injuries in playoffs though so if one team stays healthy it might be enough to win it all. I still have Boston in Finals but this might cost them the title.

@@ujunwokorobia8799 They didn't beat Boston once in three games during the regular season, he really wasn't playing that well in the run up to the play offs and his role in Miami beating the Celtics last year is vastly overrated. At best Jimmy on the team might have made the series go an extra game.
@cantbanme8971 well, I had expected straight 4-0 run from celtics. Being that their most offensive players-- Jimmy and Roziers--- out of the game. Remember: celtics are playing full-house, with an an injured 8th seed team.
To me, it appears Celtics are still far from clinching the trophy this season.
I don't see them beating either wolves, nuggets or OKC.
