I do not play the team game in politics and definitely don’t vote down ballot strictly by party… I vote by policy. But we’re talkin baseball here, so let’s go. In the past there have been many many sitting Presidents who have been visited and NOT visited by players who did or didn’t back the policies. This not new…Whether democrat, liberal or Republican. My honest assessment is Trump went too far with many things and some people just didn’t want to associate themselves with that…. Surely some of those players who have recently declined the invitation were A-political, Republican, Liberal and Democrat…You can’t just look at a baseball teams logo in the front and just assume everyone is a Democrat so therefore they hate all Republicans. Which is patently false….Many people have declined in past and present from all walks of life… I wholeheartedly think the post Charlottesville “Unite the right rally” comments turned off a lot people…. Let’s not forget those folks were chanting with tiki torches “Jews will not replace us” and then ran over a woman… That’s my honest opinion on why so many declined. I’m really not trying to crap on anyone… It’s not my style
