What is Poppy up to? Why is she with Kissy Missy? Is this Huggy just a hallucination? These are just some of the questions I hope we find answers to!
This will be my episodic playthrough of chapter 3 before I really deep dive into the new content to try and explain the story and make my theories!

I have a theory that all the critters' cutouts show how they died:
Bubba - Knowing too much about the Prototype
KickinChickin - Almost escaping
Bobby Bearhug - Trapped in the Playcare moon because Catnap liked her
Hoppy Hopscotch - Tried to get to the moon to save Bobby
CraftyCorn - Was helping the people by writing warnings
PickyPiggy - Was fed the others then killed.
That would make sense.
But why are there recordings of screams included?

Either the other Smiling Critters are still alive somewhere, or they were slowly eaten alive over the course of 10yrs and Dog Day was the last one to go. He so far, I feel the saddest about.

I actually really like the theory that the toys are hungry for the gel… it would help explain why there’s so many torn apart bodies. If they just wanted to eat, I feel like there’d be less….meat… around. Unless they just took what was human and left the casings..

The image of the smaller smiling critters going inside the big dog day (which implies the other smiling critters had big versions of themselves too) was so horrific 💀. Bro was being tortured idk how he was still alive after being cut in half.
Not only that, but we realise he was actually the voice we heard in the trailer, so he was talking about himself

@@rainpuppy14also it was him in that teaser of what looked to be a stitched up monster with toys inside of it with the words saying “This is wha he does to heretics” since that’s exactly what happened to dog day and he said those lines himself during the game. It happened it the same location as the teaser.
you can see they tied a belt around his lower half to stop the bleeding etc.. just left him there in pain.
It's interesting how Miss Delight and Catnap give you the chance to leave before going after you and killing you
It sounds like at first, as of that tape, Stella didn’t know the kids were being experimented on. It did seem from last chapter like she knew, but maybe not. I’ve been thinking most of the staff didn’t know what was going on with the kids and thought this was just a slightly eccentric orphanage. Or at least if she did know I can’t imagine her acting that confused in front of adopters, she would have more likely had an excuse prepared for why Jeremy couldn’t be adopted anymore the way the doctor quickly reassured the kid that his friend was just sick and going in for testing.
I think based on the tape where the kid interrupts the scientist (the same scientist from the last tape in Chapter 1 mind you) even the kids were unaware. Yes, they may have seen the living toys but I don't think the kids knew that in order for a living toy to be created, a real human's organs were needed. My theory is that the living toys were not allowed to be seen eating either, since that would give away the horrible truth. (I don't believe they were intended to eat human flesh either, even though it seems to happen a lot.) Which is why Miss Delight resorted to cannibalism once she and her "sisters" were locked inside the schoolhouse: no food was allowed inside. I feel only a few people knew the truth:
* Harley Sawyer
* The unnamed scientist who says "Kevin is very sick" (the same one who narrated the last tape in Chapter 1)
* Leith Pierre
* The surgeons and assistants

And they don’t have the programming to eat flesh: they just had a needs meet musts scenario.
Or maybe this from earlier in Stella’s career, and kept it as a secret, because she hated their practices, but knew about their methods of keeping people quiet.
So she waited for the right moment to strike, only it never came, and she was killed.
i agree, if stella knew she wouldve had known abt this kid before opening the note and given a reason why he was no longer available or if she didnt know abt that kid specifically she wouldve made an excuse on the spot to protect the company. i believe that most of the staff didnt know the true happenings which is why poppy says she wants to take revenge for what they did to us (they being the scientists/doctors behind the binding and us being staff AND the children)
“are we huggy?” all that’s making me think of is how most of the grabpack posters are of HUGGY using them except for the one & only time in chapter 1 during the ‘tutorial’ part
I don't see how we could be Huggy, since Kissy is much taller than the player

How does poppy know huggy is dead? Or Kissy is dead? We got confirmation that mommy long legs and catnap is dead since we witness it.

That Dog Day scene is honestly one of the most horrific game moments I've seen in a while, ngl. Reminds me of Cooking Companions with that shot of Gregor, not only being used as a living food source but also being fed meals of himself.
Also, yea, surprisingly, someone's probably more likely to live with half their torso missing (granted, it's taken care of, which, in a very crude way, Catnap had been doing the bare minimum of using Dog Day's collar to keep his insides together.) Than from falling a serious distance. Even if Huggy had survived the fall, I highly doubt his injuries sustained would be beneficial in fending off starving monsters just like you. And yes, the toys do need to eat. I think Huggy Wuggy has been the only BBI Toy ever mentioned to not necessarily have food be a necessity, but these are living creatures and Huggy Wuggy still clearly eats things even if it's not out of survival necessity (as shown by his Analog Horror escape video, he's clearly chowing down on these guys and that poor Elk/Stag/possible Moose). Just because Huggy Wuggy doesn't need to eat, doesn't mean that the other toys might not need to either. There has been SO many mentions of hunger in other toys, not just via Candycat or PickyPiggy, but Mommy Longlegs mentions feeding us to the other Playstation toys, there are dead toys clearly missing parts, Dog Day is clearly being kept alive to feed the smaller Smiling Critters who still follow Catnap, Miss Delight wrote about how she had to resort to eating her "sisters"/the other teachers and her absolutely torn-to-shit face show-cases that fight, that they had tried to eat her as well, Bron's Analog video shows that he was being ripped apart and the staff's intervention was the only thing that saved him from being devoured by the other toys, Hell, Even Catnap's domain is called his "hunting grounds". Huggy Wuggy would have been eaten the moment a bigger toy saw the advantage they had over his injuries. This factory is its own ecosystem with a very quickly diminishing food source, so everyone is locked in survival mode. It's kill or be killed now.
Nvm Huggy is not 1006 is he? I don't know my numbers, and I haven't wiki'ed anything, this all from memory so take what you will with a grain of salt
I still think that the toys do actually need to eat tho, there's no way they just removed that from a living creature, considering that anything that's ever lived has needed a way to consume nutrients, whether that's by making the food within themselves by using sunlight or consuming other living creatures for food, and since the toys were made from Human, I'd assume that the toys still need to feed their bodies the necessary sustianence that feeds a normal human being.
Huggy does need to eat but he is the bigger toys and I don't see boxy or mommy or catnap well eating him and where huggy fell to was in pretty sure shown through his claw marks in chap 2 but yeah i also think he is dead because if not the fall killed him the prototype would have killed him by now

Wow I LOVED and is terrified of this chapter that made my parents think I'm going nuts. But also;What if Ollie was the one who wrote the letter in chapter 1 since it had incorrect spelling like you said? But that's a theory. Loved the chapter terry!!👏🏻👏🏻

Imo, huggy is either still alive or he's been taken by 1006 already.
Poppy may have said that we killed him, but we dont know for a fact that a) we can trust her enough to tell the truth when so far shes been a very ambiguous character, and b) that she herself knows for a fact that huggy's dead; she may just be wrong.
(Alternatively, the devs may be misleading us by having her say that, for a huggy surprise comeback later on. Its not like there's never been a morally ambiguous character in any videogame before that has ever lied to the main protagonist, and it wouldn't be the first videogame where a presumed-to-be-dead villain came back to life)
Unless Poppy went and verified it for herself to find his corpse, which we never saw, then she could be wrong. She may very well have simply watched us drop him and assumed, like we did, that he's dead.
And yet in chapter 2 we saw claw marks and fur that looked like they were climbing up a wall into a vent (or perhaps even being dragged into it - if huggy really is dead then that could've been 1006), and then in this chapter we see that dogday literally survives despite being severed in half from the stomach down. So we know that these toys are hella fucking resilient and hard to kill, and if cutting their bottom half off isn't enough then who's to say that a fall would be?
At this point, we dont know for a fact that huggy's definitely dead. He's the only toy whose corpse we've not actually seen so he may still be alive, or he may have already been taken by 1006, dragged up to the vent as we saw hints of in chapter 2.
Poppy did say to us that we killed Huggy, Mommy, etc. I think that line is the dev's way of telling us that Huggy is dead and we aren't seeing him again.

Could also be misleading us tho so they can surprise us at the last moment. Or are you saying that every morally ambiguous character in videogame has always told the protagonist the truth and nothing but the truth, with no videogame villain who we thought was dead ever coming back to life?
@@mdy7953 I’m not saying every morally ambiguous character always tells us the truth. I just think it’s the case here. It makes sense for the story going froward they’re going for from what I can tell. Since The Prototype has now been shown via VHS tape to have the ability to mimic others, and we know that he’s collected the remains of Mommy and CatNap, plus you add in the fact that CatNap’s shrine to The Prototype is an amalgamation of toy (and human) parts, it seems like things are slowly leading up to a faceoff with The Prototype who will have the abilities of all major antagonists we’ve faced before. This would supposedly include Huggy as well. To me, it just makes sense and falls in line with the overarching story they’re going for, and as mentioned in the credits of Chapter 3, they do see a lot of the conversations/theories posted online. So I’m guessing that this line was specifically put in to address those theories. If we do see Huggy again in the factory, it’s my best guess that it’ll be as a piece of The Prototype. It’s possible that it’s misdirection, I’m not saying you’re totally off-base. That does happen a lot with story-driven games. I just don’t think that’s the case with Huggy.
@@PirateDad12 again, the Devs could simply be misleading us for the fun of it. We saw huggy fall but we didn't see him die, and in chapter 2 there's scratch marks and blue fur leading up to a vent like he either dragged himself or was dragged. So either he is indeed dead because the prototype dragged him, or he survived and got himself back into a vent where he's recovering or watching us, waiting to come back. Hell, we might've heard Kissy Missy scream at the end of chapter 3 but the only reason we assume it's her is because we know she's up there and Poppy calls her name, but her scream is identical to Huggy's - could it be both of them screaming because Huggy (as opposed to 1006 or whoever else) ambushed her and they're now fighting? Point is that we don't have actual hard evidence. A side character's account isn't necessarily reliable because we don't quite know just how much we can trust Poppy, as we know she's prone to personality changes and has indeed kept information from us in the past. I'm not saying Huggy is 100% alive, but I don't think we should just take Poppy's testimony at face value. Ultimately we didn't see Huggy die, therefore there's a chance that he could have survived. At the end of the day though, all either of us can do is interpret the information currently available to us. We'll see what happens in the next chapter!

I am stealing this phrase. It's perfect.
Plot twist: Elliot is actually the player who returned, since if you listen closely? They keep saying that the player wasn’t here when the events happened, and he isn’t welcome. Elliot “died” when the events happened, so he wasn’t there when the hour of joy went down. Making him the ONLY surviver out of that place, that’s why every toy got offended he got to live.
And I think it’s true since the teacher recognize him and asked him how is he alive???? When he’s supposed to be dead. Plot twist is that he never died, he only faked his own death.
And that’s why maybe poppy is nice to him. Because poppy KNEW Elliot and they were friends or maybe that was her father etc etc. and the reason why mommy HATES him was because well, he’s Elliot, he created her. She resents him and wants revenge for making her like that. Since after all, he was the CREATOR of everything.
I don’t think the prototype is Elliot, it doesn’t make sense. It feels like Elliot came back to k1ll the prototype since maybe HE created him and he feels guilty for creating a monster that k1ll3d everyone.
I know it sounds crazy cause Elliot is old but, maybe it’s not fully Elliot. Maybe he’s a TOY!!!??? Idk this sounds insane now but I have more theories about this.
Maybe he’s part human and part toy? Or since he was dying he decided to turn himself into a toy, but decided to remain far away from the factory and that’s why he faked his own death. He didn’t want to be there anymore. That’s why he wasn’t there.

Personally i think the theory of the player being a toy still stands. The sound of the footsteps sound like hollow plastic or just plastic. Or when we first came in we were human but slowly turned into a toy? there's not a lot to back it up. not only do the footsteps sound hollow, we're really short. It's honestly just a theory (a game theory) but it could be a descent into madness type of thing.
Does bigger dog days voice sound familiar to anyone or is it just me? 😭
Also, Ollie is sounding alot like a character from the 90s cartoons, like Dora and other language shows like it. Is it just me?

I was just explaining to a friend that I watch several different playthroughs of games because different players focus on different things. You're very lore and detail focused, so there's a lot of sniffing and whiskering (yeah, I always use cat metaphors) on things that other people don't show. We like the same lore food. ^_^

after thinking over the dream sequence where poppy narrates over it, i have a theory: If the dream was showing your memories and you supposedly did grow up in playcare and become a worker there, is that why you were perfect for this? like you learned and experienced everything the scientists wanted you to and became such a success that they let you join? They formed you into the perfect subject and let you work there too, and maybe thats why poppy believes that someone as perfect as you could accomplish this task. after writing this down, i have a couple more ideas/theories i just came up with but ill leave it at this

15:40 more like their eating their way inside him and puppeting him just like Jabba the Hut in return of the Jedi (10 people were puppeting that thing there was even a guy crammed up in the tail section of Jabba so it could wag/flick it’s tail).

The moment between you enter Stella's office (32:26) and when u put in the tape. Is that morse code you hear in the background?
Anyway, whenever you have watched the tape, that similar sound is gone and you can only hear the ventilation from that point. Thats why I thought it could maybe mean something.
The DogDay cut-out with his voice literally voiced what he did & said when you encountered him including trying to catch you... or 'fetch' you. Does DogDay sound like Rich from that gruff guy from the video who was told by (name) Rich may take (name)'s place when (name) leaves?

i think saying a character is another because they have the same VA doesn’t work, they’ve had it before where they double up on actors for casting reasons not lore ones e.g poppy + stella, bunzo + huggy + the ad narrator. most of their cast voice multiple characters, some sound similar and some completely different. i think its if they sound Exactly the same then it’s likely to think its meant to be the same character but i really doubt it’d be used for two toys and more likely a toy and a human. ollie is most likely a toy or a special child thats still alive so i dont think he is something we’ve already /heard/ from

After watching your vids we now know that 1006 can change and mimic voices.. what if the poppy we hear over the radio on chapter 2 end isnt the real popply and what if Olly is 1006. Also I think its highly likely that 1006 is the one who sent us the message to return to the factory.. What do you think Tericho?

I do think there’s a good chance Huggy is alive. Or maybe more accurately I think he survived the fall and there’s a chance he’s alive and a chance the prototype got him. God that would be a finale battle: Huggy resurrected with parts from Mommy and the other large toys killed over the course of the game.

No you cannot. I even tried with the no-clip stuff. There is nothing in there.
