Roosevelt Avenue is main thoroughfares in the New York City boroughs of Queens. Roosevelt Avenue begins at 48th Street and Queens Boulevard in the neighborhood of Sunnyside. Roosevelt Avenue goes through Woodside, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Corona, Flushing Meadows-Corona Park (adjacent to Citi Field) and Flushing. In Flushing, Roosevelt Avenue ends at 156th Street and Northern Boulevard. Roosevelt Avenue is well known for its diversity of cultural representation, ranging from Indian to Latin American, while in the 2020s, Downtown Flushing is undergoing rapid gentrification by Chinese transnational entities. More than three hundred languages are spoken along the street, and the neighborhoods it passes through are described as the most ethnically diverse in the world. [Source: Wikipedia]

I have lived in New York my entire life and I am shocked and appalled that not one of my family members that live by Roosevelt Avenue has told me about this. All this time, while visiting family I could've been with hookers instead. This is a new low and I have to rectify this situation immediately.
Best comment lol
I think it's just massages not prostitutes.
@@JohnSmith-nj4zqyeah ok 😂

This place looks more like Thailand then NY 😄
If they looked like the girls in Pattaya NYC tourism would triple.
Did you even watch the video? It's nothing at all like Thailand
@@MassAppeal966you are sick I guess you like std's.
Looks more like the Weimar Republic before that man with the funny mustache came to power.
If it was Thailand most of the “girls” would be dudes.

Salute to the family men who walk home through this temptation faithfully.
Am a man but don't see any temptations but disgustings over there.....

This is why it is up to the wives to step up and not give the men a hard time when they come home from work. A good meal and give them a decent massage after a hard day's work.
Amen
@@willn8664 so that's another word for BJ now huh? Because if not Idk what tf you're talking about. Fck a massage, well that too but after the BJ for me lol.
Kudos to you for being apparently discreet with your camera 🎥. Not enough other CZcamsrs who do this are this thoughtful 🤔.
As someone who lives in a small town in England and has never been to the states, let alone NYC, the scale is mind blowing. TV shows make it seem like friends are bumping into each other all the time, but it’s just so massive.
in Manhattan, especially near times Square.. people indeed do bump by eachother, since there are always so many people. Tourests included. Most other parts of NYC may be crowded, but there are a lot of streets and people
That's not what he meant. He said that tv shows make it seem like friends are always bumping into each other in the streets. Implying that the geography is smaller then it actually is and if you walk around you'll constantly run into people that you know.@@TheWhigmister
Oh mannnn. Nyc is nothinggg like how the movies make it seem. I used to commute to the city for work and it was awful! It only looks good in the movies
NYC is akin to numerous small towns within a metropolitan region. One can reside in a specific area without venturing beyond it, engaging in social or professional activities solely within that locality. Consequently, individuals are prone to encountering the same familiar faces engaged in similar pursuits. Those who are limited to a single facet of the city tend to form assumptions based on their own encounters. Although their experiences hold validity, they only represent a fraction of the entire landscape.
Yes and no. New York has a beating heart - midtown. Everybody goes there on a fairly regular basis, so it's a big common denominator for everyone. For those of us who live in the area and are there often, we bump into people we know all the time. It's like a small town.
I'm so happy there are still places like this in NYC
wow I know where I'm going on vacation!
They will love you for lonnnnng time 😂
If I could tell you the stories growing up around this block things haven't changed and to be honest it's more quiet than it used to be
It was even different and better, back in the 70s and early 80s. thanks to these IDIOTS, they f*cked it up.
Pandemic shut down Flamingos and immigrant clubs.
@@SirJames917 Sir, in the 70s I did travel that area......prostitutes business was unknown.
Beautiful. Thank you for bringing me on a journey with you. : )
I love it when she said, HELLO HONEY! Oldest profession since ancient times, it ain't gonna stop anytime soon. I think we could all be grateful that it's restricted to certain areas. Such as the so-called red light districts. In Houston our red light district is on main street. And the Male hustlers are on Montrose st. Thanks for the video Sifat.
Thanks for watching dear ♥️🙏 I appreciate it
Its not restricted to any one area meaning its def not legal

Im so glad to see parts of NYC not turn into Disneyland like they did to 42nd street area in Manhattan! Finally a place intact that brings the NYC of the 70's as depicted in the movie taxi driver back to life!
Thanks for the tour. Much appreciated.
Thank you for uploading this. I grew up on 103rd street. So many memories of my mother. She is no longer with us but all of her memories came back running when I saw that neighborhood.
Thank you. I feel like I am there. Fascinating. I must admit Chicago is really clean in comparison. We don’t have anything like this here a small area only. New.
NYC evolves and evolves. It would be interesting to visit just to see all this change.
This reminds me of the 80's and 90's...
Thank you at least someone knows and remembers.
Thanks for sharing
What a vibrant and diverse neghborhood😃😄😀🤌
more then it shows
Queens is probably THE MOST diverse area in the whole world to be honest
it doesn't seem so diverse it is 98 percent hispanic in this video
@@jesfitz1 then you've never been to Queens. You really can't go off of this video alone.
Strange. You see vibrancy and I see CRAP.
Looks very safe and clean.
Over 30-40 years ago it was like this. Cops raided all locations, cleaned it up and now its as it never left 😅😅😅
Yes true indeed. It was like this in the mid-late 90's. Across the street from my neighborhood I grew up in had a red light district too (Queens Plaza) until the early 2000's when the cops locked up everyone.
super beauty...😃😊😚👍💪
It’s been like that since the late 90s it’s just out on the street now -runners used to hand cards out for info and where to go
Love Roosevelt avenue...can buy anything you need..Im from North Philly and lived in Jackson heights for a spell and always felt safer than home 😮
Sign of the times. The gap between the haves and the have nots is growing larger and larger.
And it's being caused by the same people that caused it in Germany

I grew up in this area of Jackson Heights in the 1960's and 70's. The corner of Roosevelt Avenue and 90th street was on my walk home from Newtown HS. Wow has it changed. The pizza shop that was on that corner is definitely no longer in existence
I done Newton hs in 1998 I remember those streets I walked home alone with my headphones on listening nice music jump on 7 without token that time I'm broke and look fun to me now I all the money still looking for those videos to have fun with love 90s
Thanks man for showing NYC
Keep it coming
Wow. During the day it’s one of the most interesting streets in New York.
These slums are electric 💡⚡
NYC you're always moving 🗽
Roosevelt Ave has been like that since the 70s and 80s. I remember dropping off my girlfriend at the train station the stopping in to one of those cat houses for a BBBJ 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Those were the days. These days i would be to nervous to make a pit stop at the cathouses because i would be scared im being recorded 🤣🤣🤣
About a year ago I was walking that area to store when this Chinese lady grabs & pulls my arm into a building telling me come upstairs I thought I was getting robbed but the way she was dressed I knew I wasn’t long story short she gave me a happy ending 😮😮😮😮
How much did you pay her?

25 years in NYC, looks normal to me... 😂
Must be awesome to live there... everyone seems very friendly.
Nice walk 👍
Wow! I grew up there. It didn't look like that back in the days. I'm a 80s baby
Yes it did 😂😂 I was born 1980 exactly and grew up 10 minutes from there. Me and my boys went there to the brothels as teens sometimes. Here and flushing was always a red light district in the 90's but Giuliani and the NYPD put an end to it in the early 2000's around the subway world series times. (Yankees vs Mets 2000)
Lol yes it did ,but back then most of the chicas were Latinas.
Places like this should be protected and supported. These girls are essential for the community❤
Wouldn’t escorts be safer?
*谢谢,分享这么精彩的视频。那些女孩子好漂亮啊。❤❤*

After the camera turned off how much did you spend & did you get discount or you hurry up & buy
Actually, it goes below 82nd all the way to around 70th. Couple of months ago, I was about to take a defensive driving course from one of the driving schools. As I was walking from the 74th train station, I saw a group of them were chatting in front of a building. There were about a dozen of them, if not more. Now, this was like 9 am on a Saturday morning

THANK YOU! 🤣
The 70’s.
In the 70s, you had the pimps front and center sitting in their luxury cars with the gangsta white walls, t.v. antenna, diamond in the back with sunroof top. They were digging in the scene with the gangsta lean! Yeah, that was the 70's Times Square 42nd st. Aka "The Duece."
Thank you. I just was replying to someone on here the same thing. I'm from Long Island City near Queens Plaza and I KNOW 😂
You're talking 80's but it was still worse in the 90's then now also.
Exactly how quickly they forget
Reminds of NYC during the early 80s.
Reminds me of china town and 26th & California streets in Chicago
Now I gotta visit NY 😅
On the spot, FIRED
I was there in the seventies and 80's. Roosevelt Avenue used to be dominated by stores. Corona had the greatest Italian American festivals, and Latin festivals. And the only smell was the food that was everywhere. Red light districts are known for one thing. It has no business being everywhere. China town, little Italy, Astoria with all the Greek food had reputations that made them a mecca. Once upon a time Queens was great.
So you start at 103rd and end at 82nd?
🔥🔥🔥
82nd street Legend!!!
I stumbled onto this street looking for Target during my visit to Queens. I could have used this video before I went.
17:28 … oh my goodness I would’ve been sold on them!
Wow, I don't recognize it anymore. I went to the clubs with friends and saw none of that, going back about 40 years ago
11:21 - Junction Blvd, my old stomping grounds many moons ago
Love it and I have a great time
I would've never known about this place till today
❤️🥰🥰👍
Never knew this place existed and lived in NY almost my whole life except for a year in London
Great video, would like to see more like it, in maybe other cities, saw alot of interesting "stuff".
When I visit JH or Corona I go in the middle of the street and send pic to friends saying I’m on vacation in Tijuana or a city in Central America and the reply back “ Have a good trip , stay safe” Jh And Coroner are the border towns of Nyc
*Corona and don't forget flushing
Reminds me of Olongapo in the 1970s. Those girls had all sorts of antibiotic resistant STDs.
Someone told me that this actually extends all the way to 69 street idk if that’s true or not
0:28 she said (in mandarin) something something no condom for $100. This is disgusting.
If it aint skin to skin it aint going in

I had to go to a doctor office in Roosevelt during the day and saw these Chinese ladies saying massage and passing cards. It looks at night more come out. I don't doubt it this is normal since I have read stories about this street. Some in the comments mention raids done in the 90's that was suppose to clean it up. As you can see It has never left.
These young girl’s mothers weren’t even born when i was out there in the 80’s lower east side. It breaks my heart to see this.
Wow, I want to go to New York.👍 I'm from Korea🇰🇷
I try to avoid going to this part of Roosevelt but job sometimes forces hand. When I learned NYC doesn't prosecute this anymore these ladies are are out there even in middle of day, events, shopping. The traffic is just nuts along with the number of people that shop around and/or just passing through cause subway is overhead.
