@@darwinwatterson1050 It's a tricky situation here. He surrendered to the police after nearly a year and a half on the lam and just one week before the election. After the coup, the military released all the prisoners to create violences among the citizens. He's been released since then.

churches can't have crosses ? 😁 crosses are in every detail of Christians lives here. in churches, the first thing to see once you enter their houses , in necklaces of almost all Christian women, and tattooed on their arms (it's a traditional thing to have a thatto cross for Egyptian Christians)
I cannot deny that churches are attacked every couple of years , but government Never let that just happen. they try but those terrorists know how to hide themselves and although I didn't do anything but I apologised for my Cristian friends and many Egyptians donated for the renewal of the churches when that happened . that was more than a year ago , number of deaths was zero and nothing happened since then

Everyone here had been laughing about that since the beginning. I don't know what to say, kind of proud I guess to have my country featured in daily show. I love Jon, and I am starting to love Trevor with his accent and dimples.

I am a Buddhist and a devotee of the venerable Pa auk Sayadaw. And I assure you what U Wirathu is spotting is not Buddhism a philosophy of dispassion, but an ideology of hate and nationalism. A monk of the Theravada tradition should be spending all his time pursuing Nibbana and leave politics to householders. If he can't do that then he really should disrobe and re-enter secular life. In my view he is not a Buddhist monk at all having departed from the Noble Eight Fold Path.

I had no idea that there were extremists in Buddhism. It can't actually be Buddhism though right? Because we don't condone hatred or violence in any shape or form. We don't hate on other religions. Hating on Muslims is contradictory to our beliefs. Buddhism actually accepts the fact that there are many religions in the world because like food, not everyone likes to eat the same thing.

i am from india and i have never perceived the buddhist monks to be PEACEFUL...if anything they seem to be petty entitled and come off rather snobbish when you meet them in person. but there is a catch-- the won't show you that side if you are from the Americas or Europe.... i went to this monastery once in Spiti Valley... and i heard two monks dissing this couple and then were rude enough to just shoo them off the premise because TOUR was over... THE TOUR was most DEFINITELY not over... but they didn't give a shit. this i just 1 experience
