- On this podcast, Angela sits down with presidential candidate and Senator Kamala Harris on her newly released criminal justice reform plan. They also delve into her record as prosecutor and California Attorney General.

She doesn't list exact details but here's an outline for those who may not have comprehended her initial response. 1.dealing with mental health & allocating enough resources to it. 2. Holding law enforcement accountable. 3. Providing counseling, jobs, & support to help reduce recidivism.
She sounds out of touch but attempting to pander. What major changes did she make to CA criminal justice as a DA or Prosecutor?

She created Back on Track, a programs that put low level drug offenders in job training and classes instead of jail. She created OpenJustice, an initiative that opened all data on police shootings and brutality to the public. She made her police officer wear body cams. She reformed the 3 Strikes Law, being that she didnt count the third strike unless it was a serious felony. She’s done a lot more stuff but I encourage you to do real, unbiased research.
CZcams comments is not the place to come and educate yourself. You're the one who sounds out of touch because you clearly don't know what you're talking about. She made plenty of reforms, and a simple 30 googling session would tell you that.

This is a primary example of Ms. Rye choosing personal relationships over the Black community. As a lawyer, Angela Rye is fully aware of the fact that there are RACIST DAs, prosecutors, and AGs across the country that need oversight. When a cop shoots someone, often times that cop knows the person who decides whether or not that shooting was a crime. Kamala decided NOT to get involved in police shooting matters: so she could become a senator. Watch her face in response to Kamala's answer. She could have showed some integrity and pressed her, but she chose to bow and kiss the ring. Not to mention, she knows Kamala is flat out lying about the truancy issue and the democratic debate attack.
Do not speak of Angela that way. She's always been for black people advancing in life and justice for black people against cops. Who are you a white guy pretending or just a ignorant guy.

I mentioned several reasons why Ms. Rye clearly isn't putting the interest of the Black community first. Foremost of which is she allowed her to NOT answer any of the questions that she posed because they were concerning to both her and the general public. As a lawyer, Ms. Rye is trained to critically think. She knew what Kamala was doing and yet she still smiled and nodded as Kamala was evasive and flat out lied.

Last night during the debate she (and all the candidates) were asked what was their biggest regret ( in a sense). Her response was how little girls look up to her. It made no sense. It was her opportunity to talk about the fact that she has an extensive record locking up black men. People want to hear the truth. We want transparency. We need directness and unfortunately, a lot of times. I don’t hear her being very clear and direct. I intentionally follow her more than anyone just so I can see if I’m wrong about my opinions of her and I’m sorry she often talks in flowers and fluff.

I am happy you two finally came together and spoke. I think Angela Rye went a little to easy on Kamala. I am rooting for a Kamala and Warren ticket. As a supporter I was hoping Kamala would just say she made some mistakes and have learned from those mistakes. If trump is good enough to be president then going with a woman and a black woman at that who has proved to be smart and determined to make a positive impact is a no brainer. I dont look for perfection I look for who is going to do the right thing and not driven by money. I think she is far better then biden and is a reasonable contender against Warren and Bernie. Also I dont think anyone working within the system can be there without going on with biz as usual. I think if kamala owns some of the things that went on while she was in charge would make me as a voter feel better.
