HARRIS is a citizen but is not a natural born citizen which is required by the constitution in order to be President and questionably Vice President. She was born within 3 years of her mother moving here. She is a citizen but not a natural born citizen which is required by the constitution. Obama was not a natural born citizen either because he wrote in the Preface to one of his books that he was born in Africa and His brother has repeatedly stated as much which I believe is how he could sell Russian an enemy 20% of our uranium to Russia. The citizen requirement requires that you make an application and stay in the county for 5 years continuously until you become a citizen. The constitution states that in order for a child to be a natural born citizen that it has to be born in America to both parents who are citizens at the time of birth. According to Ms. Harris her mother from India arrived in America in 1961 and her father met her in 1962 who is from Jamaica thereafter and she was born in 1964. Therefore, all of that vetting was not correct as was Obama's and we ended up with 20% of our uranium sold to Russia an enemy. So she needs to be vetted by those who don't have an interest in her winning. In case you are wondering I am black and marched in the civil rights movement.
Kamala seems to know what America needs to make it better for all and how to go about. And her superb sense of humor, love it!

Why is everyone acting like the Democratic Primary is a zero sum game? I like Bernie Sanders AND Kamala Harris AND Kristen Gillibrand AND Elizabeth Warren. I prefer Sanders' policy position so I will vote for him, but I say they're all great and deserve respect and to be heard! Whoever wins the primary though NEEDS to be someone who can beat Trump and move America forward, and personally I think Sanders and Harris are the main two that are the most qualified.

Oris Salazar what you’ve got to keep in mind here, is that the Daily Show only has so much time for the interview. If Harris were to go in great depth with her policy’s, the interview would have taken way too long, so they probably didn’t go in great depth on purpose. I think the purpose of this interview was to let people meet Harris and get familiar with her instead of examining every bit of her ideas.

As a European I find it fascinating (in a rather bad way, unfortunately) how the comment sections went from calling anybody who talked a tiny bit of sense to be the next president ("Avenatti for President!"; "Trevor 2020!"; etc.) to now vilifying candidates for things that absolutely pale in comparison what comes out of the WH day in day out. And in such a short time.
Look up some of the hearing that Kamala Harris conducted and you will see for yourself how enthusiastic people were about Kamala Harris' attitude not to put up with the BS of the despicable cabinet members that were questioned by the Senate. Is that all forgotten?
It's not forgotten, it's just irrelevant. Every democratic candidate up there grilled/opposed Trump's appointees too.. We aren't comparing Kamala to Trump, we're comparing her to Sanders, Warren and Biden. She's better than Biden, but she's not as good as Bernie, and that's people's point. She's good as a senator, but if you're going to be president you need to have strong positions, and flip flopping 4 times on Medicare for All in just a few weeks proves that she should not be the nominee. Further, she was laughing at the idea of legal cannabis in 2014, whereas Bernie wanted to decriminalize weed all the way back in the 70's. Same on LGBT rights, Kamala blocked a trans inmate from transitioning/moving to a female prison, which led to them being raped, contracting Hepatitis, and being unable to medically transition after the fact. Meanwhile, Sanders created a "transsexual mecca" out of Burlington back in the 1980's. Bernie wants to forgive student debt, Harris has no plan for this. This is what matters in the primary, a wet paper bag is better than Trump, hopefully that's not become our new bar...

Trevor, perhaps it might be a good topic: what IS "Socialism"? So that people who do not understand CAN. Everyone seems to view Socialism akin to Communism. It is NOT. And..for that matter, the ORIGINAL concept (of Communism) has been so horribly massacred by men who turned it into something else by way of their own need for power, that even that concept is terrifying. Using words to undermine INTENT is one of the many problems in this world, particularly when speaking to under-educated citizens. How 'bout you clear this up?

We have a mixed economy - mixed with capitalism and socialism. The socialist parts are things like the public schools, the public libraries, electricity, sewers and water, streets, freeways, fire department, police department, medicare, medicaid, social security -- anything you don't pay a private company for. That's the socialist part of our economy. People need to read more before they go shooting off their mouths trashing socialism.
There isn't actually a working definition of socialism because it is by definition the critique of capitalism or more specifficly the critique of capitalism not providing what it promised in the revolutions that birthed capitalism ie liberty equality fraternity. Capitalism instead became the cult of the individual

He fought for civil rights, healthcare, and small business well before they were platform buzz words. As a mayor, he used to take calls from his Vermont citizens at all hours of the night. Also, her prosecutorial career stands out as an activist of justice for child abuse and sexual assault victims. Wow, she's got some really good ideas about how to run the country. Lift up the working class and middle class families. And she wants everyone to have medical care and acess to college.
