In this video, I’ll be sharing with you what you need to become an interior designer, what an interior designer actually does and some advice to become a competitive one.
To all of you that have asked me a lot for a formal interior design course: Finally! I want to officially introduce the INTERIOR DESIGN MASTERCLASS. This masterclass Is a course that I have structured to combine my academic and professional experience into 12 modules that will teach you everything you need to know to become an expert interior designer in no time!
The course teach you the basics of interior design, from general theories, like design principles, how to think like a real designer, color theory, lighting, space planning software and applications; to learning how to create your own successful business by developing your branding, learning how to work with real clients and how to develop a Project step by step using a proved methodology and so much more! You won’t just learn how to become a pro in interior design, but I’ll also show you how to monetize your passion and make a living from it!

To make understanding the difference between interior designer and interior decorator easier it is this.
Interior designer will need to know autocad or similar tool knowledge to design your home. For example designing your kitchen, like how much measurement or size to put in making the cabinets so that it's functional.
Interior decorator will do works like choosing which curtain , which sofa or which painting to buy to make your house look good.
Aside from bartending I'm having so much interest on how to become an interior designer...Hope that being a D.Signer will be my next career someday...🙏

Very interesting video. My uncle was an Interior Architect. His specialty was designing restaurant kitchens. I wish I'd have known more of what he did when I was young and maybe followed his path. Unfortunately I didn't know how respected in the business he was until after his death and a colleague of his was telling everyone about how he went to get a building permit for a design he was working on and the official told him that if my uncle approved of it then they'd issue the permit. Like I said, wish I'd known more. Maybe I would have been able to make something of myself.

I start college this spring break. Do you have any advice for what I can do in the meantime to get my head more into interior design before I start? Such as online programs that can teach me things, or really anything just to gain experience.

We already are in foreign countries And I'm in Gulf country Certification will help us to modify professional visa and we can start working from here interior designer firm.
Documents will also help for getting candidates to work in abroad with large commercial projects and particular spaces.

Hi Zahira....I really love your videos and would love to join your master class as well...but it's expensive for students like us.... please lete know if you have a monthly package or if we can only have the chapters that we want to learn about and also pay only for those, instead of the entire package. Hey Zaira, I am so passionate about being an interior designer . I joined one of the online courses but there was no guidance after I paid the fee and was totally upset about it, they had just given a bunch of materials with no tutorials at all ! I also have one question, do we need to be good at DIY to be an interior designer , I do not even know how to use a power drill . I would love to join your masterclass but I am fearful about the first experience I had☹️

Hi, if you like warm lighting for living spaces such as living room, bedroom, family rooms, it works. for drawing, studying, reading is better to pick a neutral color temperature (4000k approx)

Can I do my undergraduate study as an architect and master in interior designing??
@Tolulope Abigail Maybe minor in Interior Design/Architecture and get a Masters in Architecture especially if you plan to become a licensed architect. At the university I attended there is a lot of overlap of architecture and interior architecture/design program.
