  • The Skimender RP105 is a repair pistol ideal for users who want to carry out their own repairs to lightly damaged areas on ski and snowboard bases. The trigger-controlled flow rate of the RP105, along with the flat-head nozzle, makes it easy to dispense and iron the repair material into surface scratches and small gouges. The pistol is supplied with a convenient metal stand for holding the tool when not in use. The RP105 is easy to operate, with an illuminated on-off switch and a warm up time of between 15 and 20 minutes once loaded with a base repair stick. When the gun is ready, simply squeeze the trigger to dispense the molten repair material. Repair pins are available in black or clear in the Workshop Equipment section of this website. Product codes are 55-560-310 (clear) and 55-560-311 (black) and they are sold in a pack of 10.

is using a razor to remove the excess (vs. file) not recommended and if so, why?

You should be fine using a razor blade. We use a very sharp wood chisel. Hope this helps

Don’t buy this, get the RP360 instead. I’ve used both, and the latter is so much better. Well worth the extra cost.
