- Tier lists about Genshin usually focus on which character is the best and who is most meta for content like Spiral Abyss. I find those rather boring, and choose to make tier lists that nobody actually ever asked for... Except that a lot of people actually did ask for this one on the last video.
This is a tier list ranking the design of each character's eyes within Genshin Impact.
These are all very obviously just my opinions, so I welcome you to leave a comment of your favorites as well.

Sorry that this is a longer video. I feel bad that you have to listen to my voice for such a long time... Really thought this would be a 8-15 minute video while recording but it turned out being much longer.
Also, I realize I completely forgot the Travelers and Aloy since I grabbed all my screenshots from the character archive, and they do not appear in there. Don't worry though, both would have ended up in the "Eye've Seen Better" tier anyways 👍☕

I love how Genshin Impact gives really careful attention and a lot of details for their characters. The eyes are especially my favorite part, it doesn’t matter the eye color, it just makes the character more vibrant and expressive. I especially love the eyes of Hutao, Kaeya, Shenhe, Albedo, Mona, Ganyu and Eula. (Pattered or ombré? eye colors) but even eyes that looks normal looks really pretty to me, I’ve only gotten to love shades of green eyes seeing Bennett, Lisa, and Fischl. Kazuha too. Ehe~ plus Travelers eyes look really expressive to me honestly

Albedo's eyes are actually really interesting. The dots around the darker center circle actually form a Lewis-dot diagram. Specifically I believe it's the one for carbon, the element that is the basis of life.
It has 3 dots so it's not carbon (wich has four), it's boron. Please forgive the unsolicited chemistry lesson

Just a little fun bit, Albedo eyes represent alchemy symbol in game. You can see it on top of alchemy table as well as in some UI inside it.

7:16 Chongyun's pupils are also different, it's thin and cat-like. I'm also sure Keqing's pupils are the shape of the thing she teleports to in her elemental skill

Edit 2: this is the first time I see Chongyun in the top tier of anything, so this is how it feels like to see your main succeed xd
My favs are Chongyun's, Shenhe's, Rosaria's and Kokomi's.
Also, fun fact about Chongyun's eyes: if I remember correctly, he's the only character whose eyelashes are not black, his have the colour of his hair

In Albedo's eye in 1:38 you can see 3 reflections around the pupil, one of them is darken, it may represent the 3 moons sisters, one of them is fallen /missing and the pupil represent the eclipse dynasty.
one of my favorite details in any of the eyes in that the three circles in a ring around Albedo's eye really resemble the design on a crafting/alchemy table. and the last anime I watched was Hyouka, very great animation and interesting mysteries!

Kaeya's design in general is just a chef's kiss. He is both simple yet the more detailed parts in his design just feel right. (Just meeting my daily quota of simping for Kaeya)
other eyes I love: Qiqi, Mona, Eula, Chongyun
At first it was about design then it became about colors 😭😭😭 it's so chaotic

Yanfei's eyes are my favorite Genshin eyes, with Hu Tao's and Klee's being close seconds. Maybe I just really like Pyro eyes.
I'm currently not watching any anime but I did recently finish Sword Art Online and honestly? Not bad. Not great, but not bad.
I’ve watched season 1, at least it’s better than platinum end. I’d always prefer claymore over SAO.
I’ve only recently started watching a lot of anime so I’ve been binging a shitload of shows. Reincarnated as a slime, kobayashi, demon slayer, mushoku tensei, shield hero, konosuba, nagatoro, dress up darling, attack on titan. I’ve been absolutely loving Haikyu, that’s the one I’m watching the most right now
For me, the characters with the best eyes have to be Hu Tao, Ganyu, Kokomi, and Shenhe. Hu tao is probably one of the only charcaters with a unique pupil and thats always been one thing I absolutely adored about her. Her pupils are literally flowers! Some of the other characters either have no pupils, dark pupils, or light pupils. And for the others, I really love the ombre, its so magestical. I made this so long loool.
This was very eye-tertaining I would say :^) I have watched the second part of mushoku tensei recently! It’s a really good isekai with great world building.
I also really love that they all have different Eye shapes they are not just different colors in the same eye shape
Yay, eye tierlist! I'd say I mostly agree with you, but I personally am not a huge fan of Ganyu's eyes. The colors are really nice, but I feel like the gradient is to jarring, kind of like Venti's.
I recently just finished watching Tsukimichi, which was pretty good. I've also recently binged Fantasy Bishoujo Juniku Ojisan To in order to catch up, as I ended up enjoying it much more than I thought I would after watching episode 1 (why yes, I am isekai trash, how could you tell?).
The eyes in Genshin are so intricate, I love them alllll
However, for a long time I was put off by Yanfei's design and I realized that I didn't like the eye shape quite as much. The angle is just different from others in the game, so it seems somewhat out of place. But holy dang the colors are so lovely

I've always had kind of a soft spot for Xiangling's eyes. They're so expressive, almost bishojo type eyes. I love them.

N-eye-ce video, eye really l-eye-ked it. Anyway, Shenhe, Keqing and Mona's eyes are my favorites currently, I can honestly keep staring at them just admiring the details and the beautiful colors, especially with Shenhe's eyes. Also, Keqing's diamond shaped pupils look so cool.
I'm not currently watching anime, the last one I watched was "That time I got reincarnated as a slime", I really liked how they adapted the light novel in the latest season and I can't wait for season 3, though that will likely take one or two more years.
When I drew Scaramouche and tried to keep most of its main points in my own style I also came across the Pokémonball-thing what you said for Venti and we can't deny it, some of the eyes does look like Pokéballs 😂😂😂😂

I am watching Cells at Work, i finished season 1 and now im getting to season 2 and the spinoff "Cells at Work: Code Black". Its really nice because the art is fantastic, the voice acting is spot on and as an added bonus you even learn something

hot take. sara is one of my favorites in terms of eyes. i don’t know what it is about the shape of her eyes but they are just so piercing, they always stand out to me
also i firmly believe you should have included eye makeup. it’s just too hard not to factor it in especially when it’s subtle. even when you try to ignore it, the makeup i always gonna make a big difference on how your brain perceives the eye shape. it’s a part of the whole look and it’s really hard to isolate so trying to ignore it just leads to inconsistencies imo

don't remember what I watched last but I wanna recommend odd taxi, just for the chill calm vibe at the beginning that's mostly people talking, some of the most natural sounding voice acting I've heard in anime plus a great op.

Since you asked, I'm just rewatching rom-coms at the moment funny enough, more exactly "love is hard for an Otaku" because...well, why not, it's a good one to binge! Ty for the interesting tier list. Also, i feel like i relate to it, if you only consider the inside of the eye and not the shape at all then yeah, you kinda got me :))
Nice video, I love how every character has their own unique eyes that suits them and their personalities. Also the anime I am watching now is demon Slayer because it got a new season and I just finished that time I got reincarnated as a slime.

I rewatched the Legend of Hei movie recently. Does.. does that count as an anime? Maybe? Kind of?
I also really like Chongyuns eyes. They’re pretty simple but simplicity done right, I think. Also, I know we’re just talking about irises, but I really like that he has lighter eyelashes.
I love Xinyan's eyes! They suit her so well, and the little bit of green at the bottom adds a flash of coolness to her warm coloured design
I like how 5/6 of the M-eye Favorites are cr-eye-o. Says a lot about cr-eye-o characters.

Something I've never noticed are how many different unique eye shapes and colors Hoyoverse has in the game, and I really admire how they make unique eyes for all characters and I think the eyes play a big part in the character's design in general. I personally really like Hu Tao, Eula, Kokomi, Shenhe and Venti's eyes :)

other classics i watched not too long ago(maybe half a year ago, maybe a year ago, yeahhh definitely not that long ago... but my excuse is i rarely watch anime anymore so for me they're pretty recent) : made in abyss, land of the lustrous
i tried watching fullmetal alchemist- got maybe like 8 episodes in but i stopped idk i don't really like the pacing and there's just so many episodes to get through. I also tried watching given, it was pretty cute, but i stopped after a couple episodes. I started watching chuunibyou but i stopped bc crunchyroll was just being too slow on my phone

To answer your question about what anime your viewers were watching at the moment...I'm watching Cowboy Bebop right now! It's one of the best animes out there in my opinion, the artstyle is robust and, idk, 'vintage'?, while the soundtrack is an absolute banger. And don't get me started on the character development. If you haven't watched it I highly recommend it. :D

I just finished the first season of of an anime called "Blood Blockade Battlefront" and it was really good, my favorite character is one of the villains named "King of Despair".
The anime has 2 seasons, but I definitely recommend it.

Hey Java, in case you're still having trouble with oceanid on swords only, the electro charged reaction can hit the birds.
If the birds are summoned alongside other enemies, hit the other enemies with electro lumine. As long as you don't kill the other enemies too quickly, the birds will be obliterated quickly by electro charged.
Also, if you're still having trouble with geo hypo on swords only, use Albedo's skill to break the pillars with plunging attacks. It'll break them much quicker than just hitting them normally.

Eula’s and Chongyun’s eyes are so pretty. Like they’re gorgeous. I love Miko’s too, but I think that’s less the pupils themselves and more just my love for her eye design itself.
