I'm a non religious (Protestant roots) Scotch-Irish 3rd generation American who grew up with many Jewish American friends. I also had a Israeli Jewish roommate for years in SF. I also have SF State friends who would would run court over dinner about the Palestinian plight back int the 90's and early 2000s. It feels like things don't change. I learned a lot. We all know this is horrible what is going on, and has been for a long time. Henry. Very enlightening, and I appreciate you very much.
What I don’t understand is it’s a religion, not a race or place of natural origin. With a name like mine living in the States I’m often asked “what are you” if I replied that I was Catholic the person would look at me odd and say no I don’t mean what religion you are I mean what are you? But if you ask a Jewish person that question they’ll tell you they’re Jewish. Why is that? I also think it’s strange that it’s the only faith I can think of where (and I don’t mean this negativity) but the vast majority of Jews I know are actually atheists. They don’t practice at all (which is totally fine and the same with most “Catholics” I know). However the Jew will tell you they’re a Jew where as the “Catholic” will say they were raised Catholic but don’t believe, or they’re spiritual in some other way. In other words they won’t still try to identify themselves as a Catholic, or Muslim or Hindu or whatever if they don’t actually practice or believe in the faith. However the non-practicing essentially atheist Jew will still identify as a Jew? I suppose the second question kind of answers the first. If they feel like their race, or blood or whatever is Jewish than it would make sense to still identify as one even if you don’t practice the faith. But the first question remains about if asked what they are? Do all Jews claim to be descendants of the original 12 tribes? If anyone knows please reply. I’m very interested in all religions and have had this question for a while.
I am an elderly Indian Muslim woman, very much interested in history and religion . With a little of prior knowledge I found your lecture very informative. I wish u also do something to stop animosity and bring out the human element between jews and nuslims.

@@HenryAbramsonPhD Don Enrique, I want you to know that the Spanish language would not exist without the contribution of so many Jewish writers like Cervantes, Mateo Alemán, and many others during the so called Spanish Gold Century. I have a greatest admiration for you and your way to explaing the history of the Jews although you should tell more about the Jews in Spain and the creation of the Spanish language.
Thanks for this. As a Christian, I knew most of this, but it is still nice to put it all into one presentation in chronological context. I am quite fond of Jews. I love how they have preserved the culture and traditions for thousands of years in the face of many trials. And, of course, as a Christian, I believe that God is literally a Jew. "They tried to kill us. We survived. Let's eat," is simply awesome.
If you are a Christian you should have known that everything he was going to say was wrapped up in the first minute.
Let me quote him, “the Jewish people are not even a religion.”
I agree with him, they as a people left the God who brought them out of Egypt, they “officially” call their nation a secular nation.
Question; why would anyone who believes the Bible, ( I assume you do because you said you are a Christian) think they are Gods people?
I believe in God, and I believe He keeps his promises. Read Deut. 28.
God made a covenant with the Jews to be their God forever…… unless they became apostate. And they did. And God promised to curse them and give their land to another. And there are many more curses He promised to rain down upon them.
But most people who say they believe in the God of the Bible don’t really.

As someone who is not Jewish, but who has studied Jewish history extensively, your video is very valuable. It identifies for me what you, as a Jew knowledgable about Jewish history, consider to be the most important milestones of that history. You just took several years of history classes and rendered it into just 18 minutes. I wish some of my history teachers could have done that, and did it as well as you. Yes, some of the finer details were left out but the core information remained. Thank you. My wife has been studying the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, and this will explain a lot to her. Non-Jew fan here. I think I've watched most of your videos...mostly because of the history/biographies, and all cultures. I've learned so much and feel that if other people (meaning the gentiles) learned more about Jewish history and Jewish culture the less hate there would be. Maybe I'm just over-simplifying. I live outside of Pittsburgh and the anti-Semitic hate crimes have shocked me. As a matter of fact, the increase in all hate crimes has me in despair for the future of my grandchildren. (Sorry for my downer moment) Keep up the good work!

@Edward Hunter A devout person can trip on prayer. It releases biochemicals in the brain that creates altered states of love and bliss. Don't diss it. In his autobiography MLK Jr wrote he prayed after his house was bombed the first time when his first kid was only 1 1/2 years old. Nobody got hurt but he was afraid for his family, so his prayer was about that; should he quit being an activist because his family might get hurt? He heard a deep male voice in his mind telling him his family would be ok. It gave him the courage to go on. Don't knock it.
It's cheaper than drugs and it has no side effects.

Neo-Darwinism
A Theory in Crisis, there is no better way to put it today. There are no transitional forms in the so- called fossil record and the ones that are sited are dubious to say the least, because they do not manifest soft tissue changes: like a dinosaur to a bird as presumed by evolutionists. Where are the millions of intermediate fossils demonstrating evolution? All along the religious chain of events, from life forms in the sea to modern man is pure fantasy and imagination by those who seek to keep a divine foot out of the door when it comes to the origin of life. Jesus said they that are whole need not a physician but those that are sick, go and learn what this means I desire mercy and not sacrifice. My contention is that those who promote this evolutionary ideology despite all the evidence against it are sick and are not worthy to be called scientists, because science is the pursuit of truth ultimately and where ever it leads true scientists follow. Many in the various fields of science associated with Neo-Darwinian will not speak out and change course, because they know their careers will suffer at the hands of their peers. Many true scientists have become creationists because of the insurmountable evidence; they had no alternative choice because of the continual narrative, which is spear-head by people like Richard Dawkins.
Here is a term they have invented: “genetic drift” in relation to the speculation of macro-evolution, which the fossil record does not support. All we see is micro-evolution a smart term for kinds within species. There are three limitations that cancel out Neo-Darwinism these are: the origin of DNA and RNA, irreducible complexity within the single cell and the “none existence” of innumerable transitional fossils. With this evidence there should have been a paradigm shift away from evolution several years ago. Life does not emerge from non-living matter and the idea of mutations; they only corrupt already existing information within the genome. There is a degrading taking place every generation; no new information is ever added to the genome by the invented process of natural selection. Nothing is changing and therefore evolving into new species.
HMS Beagle has now become a modern day shipwreck relative to evolution. The evidential cargo has blown up in Darwin’s face. This is not widely known but Darwin hated the Biblical account of Creation, the fall, the flood and redemption through Jesus Christ. He stated and I quote: He called the gospel of Jesus Christ a “damnable heresy!” He was at war with God before he set sail on HMS beagle around the world as a naturalist between-1836. The Galapagos isles turned out to be of special interest to him relative to his theory of evolution. He was determined to fly in the face of God and invent an alternative to Biblical Creation. He spent a life time formulating a theory which would eventually blow up in his face. Darwin enjoyed the term “survival of the fittest” which is closely allied with “lawlessness” but Jesus said concerning his loving commandments to mankind “Let him who hath ears to hear, let him hear! Jesus was quite clear, that every man shall be judged for every idle word spoken! By your words you will be justified and by your words condemned. Jesus in his ministry taught people and nations to love each other and to work together for the common good of mankind. He knew the nations of the world would reject him and the gospel message of peace with God., That nations would arise against nation and kingdoms against kingdoms that there would be desolation's right up to the end of this present day and age, culminating in the rise of the Anti-Christ who will deceive Israel and the nations of the world, leading them eventually down the road to the battle of Armageddon. This battle will prompt the return of our Lord Jesus in glory to stop man destroying himself through selfishness and greed. His feet will touch the Mount of Olives and then he will hold man accountable for his actions. I am glad I have made peace with God through is Son.

Scientific investigation of the Turin Shroud
In 1978 a group of scientists became involved in the project STURP from a number of prestigious institutions from around the world. They were given unprecedented access to this burial cloth for 120 hours at the end of a rare public exhibition. Scientific and medical research was conducted on the shroud with remarkable results indicating the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin, unfakable evidence that could not be forged by an artist or any other natural means known to mankind. A negative image had been encoded on the inside of the linen cloth which could only have been caused by “particle radiation” emanating from the body within the Shroud. Linen naturally consists of cellulose and has nitrogen atoms which are an indigenous element of it. Many scientists who were involved in this project in 1978 have come to the same conclusion, that “particle radiation” in terms of neutrons from the inside of the body had defused and attached themselves to the nitrogen component, by means of neutron capture which then converted it to C 14. If this occurred at the resurrection of Jesus Christ it would invalid all C 14 dating done on the Shroud in the 1980’s. A small group of scientists in the 1980’s excluded the original scientists from further involvement who knew more about the findings than them. They excluded the world wide public also from the information that would have been acquired from 25 other areas of testing. When it came to the C 14 dating the underlying differences were not shared with other scientific institutions, as had been agreed. They ignored; suppressed and disregarded samples that noticeably had different amounts of C 14 content, which correlated with their distances from the cloth. They selected their own C 14 date that suited their purposes. [Does this sound familiar when it comes to evolutionists? They also ignore, disregard and suppress the insurmountable evidence against evolution]. To explain, the nearer the body parts were to the cloth the more C 14 was detected, so different parts of the Turin Shroud give different C 14 data. Not reliable at all! Investigation at the atomic and molecular levels will further prove the authenticity of the Shroud and completely invalid the erroneous C 14 dating presented, that indicated the Shroud dated to the Middle Ages. [Matt 28:1-15] This is in essence what they said.
This Anti-Christ spirit manifests itself in all walks of life wanting to suppress, ignore and disregard anything that is supernatural in orientation. God has not left himself without witness and the Turin Shroud is evidence of a supernatural event beyond the realms of science. I grew up Christian in South Bombay with a lot of Jewish friends in school and college who have long migrated to Israel, and as a journalist, I've had the opportunity to read a lot about Jewish history. Scientific investigation of the Turin Shroud
In 1978 a group of scientists became involved in the project STURP from a number of prestigious institutions from around the world. They were given unprecedented access to this burial cloth for 120 hours at the end of a rare public exhibition. Scientific and medical research was conducted on the shroud with remarkable results indicating the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin, unfakable evidence that could not be forged by an artist or any other natural means known to mankind. A negative image had been encoded on the inside of the linen cloth which could only have been caused by “particle radiation” emanating from the body within the Shroud. Linen naturally consists of cellulose and has nitrogen atoms which are an indigenous element of it. Many scientists who were involved in this project in 1978 have come to the same conclusion, that “particle radiation” in terms of neutrons from the inside of the body had defused and attached themselves to the nitrogen component, by means of neutron capture which then converted it to C 14. If this occurred at the resurrection of Jesus Christ it would invalid all C 14 dating done on the Shroud in the 1980’s. A small group of scientists in the 1980’s excluded the original scientists from further involvement who knew more about the findings than them. They excluded the world wide public also from the information that would have been acquired from 25 other areas of testing. When it came to the C 14 dating the underlying differences were not shared with other scientific institutions, as had been agreed. They ignored; suppressed and disregarded samples that noticeably had different amounts of C 14 content, which correlated with their distances from the cloth. They selected their own C 14 date that suited their purposes. [Does this sound familiar when it comes to evolutionists? They also ignore, disregard and suppress the insurmountable evidence against evolution]. To explain, the nearer the body parts were to the cloth the more C 14 was detected, so different parts of the Turin Shroud give different C 14 data. Not reliable at all! Investigation at the atomic and molecular levels will further prove the authenticity of the Shroud and completely invalid the erroneous C 14 dating presented, that indicated the Shroud dated to the Middle Ages. It struck me of how similar the creed and doctrine of One God is omni-present and the teaching of goodness to mankind is the ultimate goal for all religions. Why the fighting and bickering and jealousy ? We all have two arms, two legs, two eyes, two nuts, two nostrils and two ass cheeks - Well Most do ! Neo-Darwinism
A Theory in Crisis, there is no better way to put it today. There are no transitional forms in the so- called fossil record and the ones that are sited are dubious to say the least, because they do not manifest soft tissue changes: like a dinosaur to a bird as presumed by evolutionists. Where are the millions of intermediate fossils demonstrating evolution? All along the religious chain of events, from life forms in the sea to modern man is pure fantasy and imagination by those who seek to keep a divine foot out of the door when it comes to the origin of life. Jesus said they that are whole need not a physician but those that are sick, go and learn what this means I desire mercy and not sacrifice. My contention is that those who promote this evolutionary ideology despite all the evidence against it are sick and are not worthy to be called scientists, because science is the pursuit of truth ultimately and where ever it leads true scientists follow. Many in the various fields of science associated with Neo-Darwinian will not speak out and change course, because they know their careers will suffer at the hands of their peers. Many true scientists have become creationists because of the insurmountable evidence; they had no alternative choice because of the continual narrative, which is spear-head by people like Richard Dawkins.
Here is a term they have invented: “genetic drift” in relation to the speculation of macro-evolution, which the fossil record does not support. All we see is micro-evolution a smart term for kinds within species. There are three limitations that cancel out Neo-Darwinism these are: the origin of DNA and RNA, irreducible complexity within the single cell and the “none existence” of innumerable transitional fossils. With this evidence there should have been a paradigm shift away from evolution several years ago. Life does not emerge from non-living matter and the idea of mutations; they only corrupt already existing information within the genome. There is a degrading taking place every generation; no new information is ever added to the genome by the invented process of natural selection. Nothing is changing and therefore evolving into new species.
HMS Beagle has now become a modern day shipwreck relative to evolution. The evidential cargo has blown up in Darwin’s face. This is not widely known but Darwin hated the Biblical account of Creation, the fall, the flood and redemption through Jesus Christ. He stated and I quote: He called the gospel of Jesus Christ a “damnable heresy!” He was at war with God before he set sail on HMS beagle around the world as a naturalist between-1836. The Galapagos isles turned out to be of special interest to him relative to his theory of evolution. He was determined to fly in the face of God and invent an alternative to Biblical Creation. He spent a life time formulating a theory which would eventually blow up in his face. Darwin enjoyed the term “survival of the fittest” which is closely allied with “lawlessness” but Jesus said concerning his loving commandments to mankind “Let him who hath ears to hear, let him hear! Jesus was quite clear, that every man shall be judged for every idle word spoken! By your words you will be justified and by your words condemned. Jesus in his ministry taught people and nations to love each other and to work together for the common good of mankind. He knew the nations of the world would reject him and the gospel message of peace with God., That nations would arise against nation and kingdoms against kingdoms that there would be desolation's right up to the end of this present day and age, culminating in the rise of the Anti-Christ who will deceive Israel and the nations of the world, leading them eventually down the road to the battle of Armageddon. This battle will prompt the return of our Lord Jesus in glory to stop man destroying himself through selfishness and greed. His feet will touch the Mount of Olives and then he will hold man accountable for his actions. I am glad I have made peace with God through is Son.

As an Australian national who now resides in Brasil, the historical timelines of migrational Jewish history are mind numbing.. For perspective, Australia was colonised 235yrs ago; Brasil 523yrs ago. The 300yr period of harmony between Jews, Christians and Muslims in Spain and elsewhere along the Iberian peninsula appears to be particularly interesting.

I hope you have another brief lesson on the Jewish population that remained in Israel even after the Roman expulsion. My understanding is that Jews managed to have small continuously occupied areas in which they lived from ancient times through the Middle Ages and up to the present. They may not have had a political state of their own but they had a continuous living presence there.

The reason we have "two sides" in the US is because the corporate world owns both sides. The dems are slightly to the left on issues that don't affect corporate profits; they are slightly less racist, homophobic, sexist, Islamaphobic, etc., than the republicans are; but the myth on the democratic side is that they aren't racist because Obama was a dem, and that proves they aren't racist, and they don't look at institutionalized racism in our economic system and justice system, either. I could check off any issue in this way. Their corporate donors pull their strings. The myth on the republican side is that any American that works hard can become rich, and that myth made room for all kinds of right wing fascism to enter in; but they also obey their corporate donors who pull their strings. Big oil donates to both "sides." Over about a 50 period of time, assaulted by SCOTUS, politicians, the corporate world, and the fact that Americans don't vote (about 50% turn out in presidential elections; not enough to maintain democracy; democracy; use it or lose it), and the fact that media loves sensationalism (corporate profits) more than it loves analysis; we in the USA now have government of the rich by the rich and for the rich. I could go over many of the small steps in that 50 period which led to this; but it would take too much writing unless you want more info.

So the American population actually polls very leftist on issues like the Green New Deal and Medicare 4 All, & for getting big money out of politics. But big money in politics is exactly what keeps the 1%ers in control of the entire "democracy" we now have. A correct analysis of the situation is that the voters who didn't vote allowed fascism to take hold, but fascism isn't really a part of American culture. It is easy to see parallels between Trump and Hitler. Both were elected and the parallels don't stop there. But the parallels between Germany of 1933 and USA of 2020 are fewer. 82% turned out in the election that put Hitler in office. Less than 50% turned out here (basically doubling the voting power of the Trump cult base). Germany was ethnically homogeneous in 1933. The USA, today, is diverse (thank you G-d for small blessings).
The craziness in the US now isn't a division between two sides. The oligarchs and 1%ers like that view because then nobody points the finger at them. It is really a top down split, and the younger generations know it. That, ironically, makes it into a generational split too.
51% of milleniels and gen Z want to see Bernie become president, and he isn't a republican or a democrat. He isn't registered with either party. (I am a boomer. I adore milleniels & gen Z.) The young in the US have endured school shootings (profits for the gun manufacturers), have watched the oppioid epidemic and seen loved ones die of it (profits for big pharma), are ridden with student debt that will impoverish them for their entire lives (profits for the corporate aspect of the university system) and world wide the young see climate change (profits for big oil), so the young folks in the US understand how this democrat centrist VS republican fascist, still leaves the corporations getting all the profits by sucking off of everyone else. Campaigns became so expensive over the years that the power of the vote paled in comparison to the power to buy propaganda using campaign ads. The young also see how corporate control of the US government holds the whole world back from addressing climate change.
Anyway; turn out to vote was higher than usual in the blue wave midterms. It is an unfolding of the power of the young. Hitler was able to walk into government halls within two weeks of getting elected and point guns in the faces of his political opponents. Trump cultists have fantasies about such scenes, but the reality is that Trump is facing an impeachment trial (I expect him to be acquitted; the real trial will be the elections in November) and his goons walking into the capital and pointing a gun at Pelosi would wind up in prison. Our government is in horrible shape but the society at large is not that far gone yet. And Trump has had 3 years to do the damage he has done, without being able to stage the coup Hitler arranged within two weeks. Hitler had military backing. The US military does not like Trump (another blessing for which I am grateful; I usually don't like US military policies; but they do good science and say that climate change is a threat to national security, they aren't stupid, they support the Constitution and constitutional law at home, despite all the attempts to create democracies that the US military has overthrown abroad - - - usually to serve some big corporation or other - - - and the rank and file has a huge percentage of troops of color; the US military as individual citizens donates more money to Bernie than to any other candidate).
You aren't going to find out what is really happening in this country from mainstream media. They are corporate controlled. They have been wishing all long that by ignoring the young and ignoring Bernie they will all just go away. That isn't working anymore so Bernie is about to be attacked by both "sides;" both the dems and the repubs (as we are seeing every single day in the news) demonstrating that this is a top down / old young fight in the US; it isn't dems vs repubs.

I’m not Jewish religiously, but my 2nd great grandmother was Jewish. Her family was Christian, and probably converted sometime in the 1700s or a few centuries before.Due to the time they came to England, and their appearance, would suggest they were Sephardic. But honestly they might be Ashkenazi, I don’t know. I’ve always been interested in my Jewish origins, and so this is a very interesting video for me!

Neo-Darwinism
A Theory in Crisis, there is no better way to put it today. There are no transitional forms in the so- called fossil record and the ones that are sited are dubious to say the least, because they do not manifest soft tissue changes: like a dinosaur to a bird as presumed by evolutionists. Where are the millions of intermediate fossils demonstrating evolution? All along the religious chain of events, from life forms in the sea to modern man is pure fantasy and imagination by those who seek to keep a divine foot out of the door when it comes to the origin of life. Jesus said they that are whole need not a physician but those that are sick, go and learn what this means I desire mercy and not sacrifice. My contention is that those who promote this evolutionary ideology despite all the evidence against it are sick and are not worthy to be called scientists, because science is the pursuit of truth ultimately and where ever it leads true scientists follow. Many in the various fields of science associated with Neo-Darwinian will not speak out and change course, because they know their careers will suffer at the hands of their peers. Many true scientists have become creationists because of the insurmountable evidence; they had no alternative choice because of the continual narrative, which is spear-head by people like Richard Dawkins.
Here is a term they have invented: “genetic drift” in relation to the speculation of macro-evolution, which the fossil record does not support. All we see is micro-evolution a smart term for kinds within species. There are three limitations that cancel out Neo-Darwinism these are: the origin of DNA and RNA, irreducible complexity within the single cell and the “none existence” of innumerable transitional fossils. With this evidence there should have been a paradigm shift away from evolution several years ago. Life does not emerge from non-living matter and the idea of mutations; they only corrupt already existing information within the genome. There is a degrading taking place every generation; no new information is ever added to the genome by the invented process of natural selection. Nothing is changing and therefore evolving into new species.
HMS Beagle has now become a modern day shipwreck relative to evolution. The evidential cargo has blown up in Darwin’s face. This is not widely known but Darwin hated the Biblical account of Creation, the fall, the flood and redemption through Jesus Christ. He stated and I quote: He called the gospel of Jesus Christ a “damnable heresy!” He was at war with God before he set sail on HMS beagle around the world as a naturalist between-1836. The Galapagos isles turned out to be of special interest to him relative to his theory of evolution. He was determined to fly in the face of God and invent an alternative to Biblical Creation. He spent a life time formulating a theory which would eventually blow up in his face. Darwin enjoyed the term “survival of the fittest” which is closely allied with “lawlessness” but Jesus said concerning his loving commandments to mankind “Let him who hath ears to hear, let him hear! Jesus was quite clear, that every man shall be judged for every idle word spoken! By your words you will be justified and by your words condemned. Jesus in his ministry taught people and nations to love each other and to work together for the common good of mankind. He knew the nations of the world would reject him and the gospel message of peace with God., That nations would arise against nation and kingdoms against kingdoms that there would be desolation's right up to the end of this present day and age, culminating in the rise of the Anti-Christ who will deceive Israel and the nations of the world, leading them eventually down the road to the battle of Armageddon. This battle will prompt the return of our Lord Jesus in glory to stop man destroying himself through selfishness and greed. His feet will touch the Mount of Olives and then he will hold man accountable for his actions. I am glad I have made peace with God through is Son.

I’ve heard some Jews teach that only Jews should follow Torah and that Gentiles should follow the Noahide laws. This seems to go against Torah, though. What are your thoughts? Do you have a lecture on this?
I haven't put together a lecture on the Noahide movement, but you are basically correct. Traditional Jewish belief requires seven basic commandments for all humanity (no murder, establish courts of law, etc.) and that's it.

I’m not sure if that would bring Him the most glory. Scripture says His law will go forth from Zion. Does the word “law” mean “Torah”? Not bad, but I would take issue with the idea that the "Palestinian" Arabs were "indigenous" to Eretz Yisrael. They in fact mostly came into the land in response to Zionist efforts to rehabilitate and rebuild and create economic opportunities in pre-State Israel, and they historically are not "indigenous" to the Land, having emigrated from Arabia and then surrounding lands. Of course there were Arabs living there before the Zionist enterprise, (as were Jews, principally in Jerusalem) but they were small in number, the Land was in ruins and they had also emigrated at an earlier time from Arabia.
