I have anxiety now about one day there not being this channel for comic fans to flock back to. I hope there is somebody caretaking and backing it all up somewhere. Whatever shape comics takes 3 decades from now, I hope fans then can access and see all this endless greatness curated by Ed and Jim.
I've got about a thousand saved myself, I assume others are doing the same.
I would like Jim and Tom should do a show. I just don't know if you keep it as Cartoonist Kayfabe
Damn, crazy how many episodes they had recorded in advance. RIP Ed Piskor, you will be missed!
Weeks’ line work on Daredevil was like a guy remixing mazz and miller and jrjr and it rips.
I Love this stuff. I remember being excited by Lee Weeks' Daredevil. But the X-Men were everywhere in the early 1990s. R.I.P. Ed. These videos help soften the painful impact of his absence a bit. Thank you, Jim.
I miss you Ed Piskor! Your voice, intelligence, and passion for anything to do with comics are one of the reasons why I survived my chemotherapy. Now, I am cleared. God bless you, man! Please keep this channel alive. I am fine watching re-uploaded videos.
Keep Kayfabe ALIVE Jim!
Pre pubescent Ed Piskor’s voice was cracking me up lol. We miss you Ed…
We need more Lee Weeks!
Ed had told the Lee Weeks original pages story before but the added internal Eddie P dialogue makes this version the BEST version.😂😂😂
Does me heart good every time I see the subscribe number tick up. Onwards to 100K! Kayfabe forever.
"The name's Gambit. Remember it." Wish Ed was still here to enjoy the new animated series.
I’m waiting on my Lee Week’s Tarzan vs Predator. Finally found one that wasn’t too expensive.
Thank you, Jim. ❤
Gaddayummm.. you guys were workhorses! Videos still kepp coming despite the tragic event. RIP Ed. Love you Jim!
The prepubescent voice is hilarious! Also a big fan of large hair so I enjoyed this treatment of gambit
Lee Weeks is great, I am always in awe of his page design. Solid stuff.
Was listening to Rob Liefeld's pod the other day... he mentioned Chap Yaep. I was hit by Ed's absence and discouraged all over again. My prayers for everyone involved. I am endeavoring to bring Mr. Yaep up more, to balance the cosmic scales.
Hope you are well Jim.
I remember as a kid, going down to the comic shop, and because I liked Gambit so much, I noticed X-Men #266 (first appearance of Gambit on the cover!). It was five dollars, which seemed like a lot, but I picked it up. Very wise purchase.
These books are really hitting my own personal origin story this week. Core memory shit
Thank you.
Jim, I'm reading Ed's X-Men Grand Design. Blown Away. I love Ed's homage art style. He clearly cared about the characters. While not perfect, it's pretty close to a masterpiece. I have your Hulk Grand Design coming in the mail. I can't wait to read it. I hope you and Ed's family and friends are doing well.
First! Miss you Ed! R.I.P.
@7:16. Cracks me up talking about the DragonStrike advertisement! Subs keep pushing higher! Kayfabe Forever!
I loved this series as a kid!
Eddie P ! best there ever was!
have this series class read and amazing art
I have all these Gambit comics back in the days and I thought his name was Ja Watts on the cover
❤
The name’s Gambit, mon ami. Remember it
Still surprising to me that Gambit isn't EVERYONE'S X-Man.
I'm ready for Full Moon Zine.
Thanks. But I stopped reading X-Men before Gambit came along.
Gambit's hair was so hard to get right. If you messed up, it ended up looking like a giant sea urchin poppin out of the top of his head.
@12:00 even funnier!!!!!!
RIP Ed
🔥🔥🔥🔥
🍿 Good stuff
