Thanks for the video. Did you manage to switch to the basic Amex BA card? I am thinking about the same and wondering what’s going to happen to an unspent companion voucher from the previous year. Vouchers earned with Amex BA Plus expire in 24 months vs Basic’s 12 months, which basically allows max 2 companion vouchers to be held per Avios account.
Hi, I didn’t end up switching back. The savings for me have been great using the companion voucher + Avios on long haul flights. In regards to the voucher, you won’t lose it but I’m not sure on the time limit it will have. I’d like to assume it will keep the same time limit as you earned it with the premium card.
Does adding authorised users on the BA Amex Express UK help build the credit score of the added users?

Thanks, unfortunately there is currently no lounge access just with the card. It’s only if you’re buying a business / first class ticket e.g. through the companion voucher.
from what and how i understood it, you have to spend around £60,000 to gain 60,000 avios to book a flight to new york + some (excluding bonus avios). How is using this card to collect avios worth it or is there something else i’m missing?
So there is many ways to gain points. You can spend on the card, use their affiliate links & buy BA flights. All these lead to extra points and some affiliate links have offers where you get even more e.g. 8 avios per £1 spend. I’ve had over 100,000 avios points but have definitely not spent £100,000!
So how much would you say (approx) that you spent in GBP to gain 100,000 avios? @@imentor__

Can we use BA AMEX credit card for normal purchases like grocery etc
Yes, you can use it anywhere that accepts AMEX. I use it for a lot of normal purchases

The card is available in different countries however the benefits differ. Therefore best to check what the country your residing in offers
