Thank you for your tips on how to ride a kick scooter! I'll be riding one for the first time in a few days to enjoy the sun with my daughter.
It's just a great way to connect with people in college. A lot of people will have bikes, and it really opens up a lot of possibilities to be able to cover longer distances without a car. With a folding bike you can also still take it in bars and coffee shops with you, which adds another awesome element. - jack

If I am in need of a scooter I will definitely pick one of these up, I currently have a Vokul Black bull scooter that's portable like the KickPed. However if my current scooter breaks or something happens to it, I will definitely pick this one up it looks absolutely AWESOME!! :D until then I'll save up just in case :D awesome vid btw, your tips actually helped me with remember how to ride a scooter ehe ^^

The Kick Ped is pretty slick looking in my opinion. Commuting around college is a pretty important part of your life, could be worth taking a look at a folding bike. Seriously, nothing like a fold up bike to turn a few heads at school... - Jack
How sturdy is the slide tube? Does it bend easily when you lean a little back when you push?

Holy crap, I've been on skateboards and scooters (not seriously, just for fun) for 35 years and never realized I was pushing off with the wrong leg. I am right handed and ride regular but push off with my left leg. It will take some practice to change.
with that rubber wheels, do you feel the bump when they cross the joints in concrete slabs ?

what kind of headset do you use? 1/18" bike sized?
I have the Go Ped Know ped that is where this one come from, platform bigger and front brake. This one looks better but the other is better for long distances. I have done many many miles. even in rain, very durable. Only but, front brakes adjustments and back brake mudcover will break easily, but i brake directly onto the back wheel with my trainers. Except for that , strongest scooter out there, TankScooter!
Nazen Kiss The razor scooter is garbage compared to this scooter. This can carry an adult of around 300lbs with ease. That crappy razor is for kids.
Douglas Kmiotek yes I was looking in to the Razor scooter but I'm sure that won't hold me cuz I'm 6'2" 320 lbs so I might get this one... u think it'll hold?

Proud Occifer Douchebag It's the same as a kickped, because NYCEwheels has them make their scooter for them. The KickPed is the better model IMO. I removed my front brake from my KnowPed (dangerous, no matter what some may claim), and I ordered a better & thinner deck from NYCEwheels. I wish I had just ordered the KickPed. I think it's perfect straight out the box.
how much does this scooter weights? Is it still available to buy one?

I also heard that bearings are not as good. I like the frame, but can the wheels and the bearings be upgraded for a smoother ride?
I start university in the fall and I think this will be perfect for commuting to and from the bus stop! And maybe even just wheeling around campus

Is there no bearing spacer in the front wheel because there's no front brake? At 0:48 the front wheels don't spin freely.
I just got mine today and it seems the folding mechanism has been shifted 90 degrees from what's portrayed in the video. ( as seen in this picture: ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61N7npb0p4L._SL1000_.jpg ) This makes the scooter a TON less comfortable to carry on your shoulder after folding. What gives?

Hey guys, I have one of these, there is some "play" in the handle bar shaft...not a lot but noticeable (compared to a xootr) is this normal?
Good question! Yes because of the quick release folding mechanism there is a hair of space in the handlebar which will have a slight amount of play. This is totally normal - Jack

Can I ride the kick ped goofy style?
Good demo, thank you! I need one of these to get around and walk my dog faster. The music was blasted irritating as hell. Ruined the demo and I had to shut off volume several times so as not to smash my PC. DO NOT PUT MUSIC ON ANY DIY DEMO. GOLDEN RULE. BRAIN CAN ONLY LISTEN TO ONE CHANNEL AT A TIME.

I have one of these. I don't recommend. It's so incredibly hard to fond and unfold that I have watched this video probably 100.000 times. It doesn't work like the video. It doesn't stay up on its own and to put that strap around the break is so hard. I bought mainly because I take public transportation and it seemed really easy to fold it. It isn't. When I unfold it just gets stuck and wiggles around. It is a serious pain in the butt
