This year's show (2023) was the last one, the show location was sold for redevelopment after the show being held there for well over 40 years.
I have zero interest in cars lorries etc but…for some strange reason watching you get all passionate over it all is awesome 🎉😂 love it
Truckstar in Assen is a much much bigger event.
Those elaborate paint jobs used to be made by air brush. In recent years however its more often done with foils, just like cars are mostly foiled and not spray painted anymore. The design layout is created on a computer (with Photoshop or similar) and then enlarged and printed on the foil. With that, basically everything goes, no matter how complicated the design is. And its done faster and cheaper than air brush, too.

Hi Ian, went to truckfest Peterborough this year 2023, it was absolutely amazing: you need to experience it yourself to take in the atmosphere and appreciate the beauty of the trucks up close. Keep up the good work love your videos 👍
That's a Speedway track at the start Ian, for Peterborough Panthers Speedway team. Used to be more popular in the seventies and early eighties when shown for free on public access television. Friend of mine does, or at least did, St John's Ambulance cover there as a volunteer so he could watch it for free!
At these festivals there is often trucks and commercial vehicles dating back as far as the 1930's an 40's, there are vintage Steam driven vehicles. my best friend took me to a truck show and I'm now hooked on them. I love the really old stuff like the AEC Matadors. They're not that big and they're not that fast but they can pull some serious weight.
Ian, the small white vehicle @ 5'00" is based on a Morris Minor which was manufactured in the UK from 1948 to 1971
Love it, love it, love it. I live in Cambridge which is just down the road. It falls on my birthday every 7ish years and I've been many times. MAY 6TH. I've met Jet from gladiators and Jim Bowen from the show Bullseye. Lol! They even have truckfest radio over the airwaves via CB. Top vid dude.
2023 was the last truckshow at Peterborough after 40 years there. It's moving to Lincoln show field
I have been to Truckfest many years ago in its early years, spectacular show ! They also did recovery demonstrations at the time showing how they recover a trailer that would have rolled on its side etc.
Watched this video last night and then by chance today that gold Volvo drove past me! Nice looking rig towing a brick trailer through Sunny Lancashire.
