    Thank you for posting this.
I came here looking for a video of Elizabeth's closing exhibition skate. For me, that beautiful, fluid performance in which she seemed to thank everyone and really embrace what she had accomplished in her amazing Olympics just really touched me. I remember Jim McKay, the long-time ABC Olympics commentator here in the US, marveling in the opening seconds of the routine and commenting, "if only every young person could have a moment like this in their lives."
I only watched as much of that Winter Olympics as I did because my mom, who was dying of cancer at the time, lived with us and watched every moment. She loved telling us the backstories of every competitor. Because of Elizabeth's underdog status, she quickly became one of my mom's favorites.
My wife "accidentally" taped over my VHS of the skating exhibition after I watched Elizabeth's routine one time too many. All these years later I'd love to see it again. But I'm glad to find this video as I'd never heard the story of what the hockey coach did for Elizabeth. Another inspiring layer to her already inspiring story. This one about what a single act of kindness can do for someone. So the 'moment" I saw was really her second. I hope she is well and wish her the best.
I hope eventually someone will post the exhibition skating.

I had no idea so much was going on for you. I was in school and working at Perkins. I later heard that you had grabbed up the silver and so did Brian Orser (my secret favorites). I felt that I was being a bad American wanted gold for so many Canadians I just love you guys and love how encouraging you are ❤️❤️❤️❤️🌺

After meeting Elizabeth and hearing her speak at a women's empowerment event, I watched this with new eyes and cried.
