Washed the porch today with this unit.... im getting another pressure hose but tested it with the stock... I have all the hoses connected with quick connectors except the pressure hose to the unit. I have a psi guage and tested with the highest pressure nozzle.... meter reads 2250 psi which is excellent. I have got a foam gun I used first, then pressure washed with the stock gun.... did a fantastic job. Years old grime came off real easy
Really appreciate your whole review and especially the confirming the PSI with GPM. With this new MAX PSI rating thing going on, I can’t trust any of it. It’s like when lawnmowers start moving away from HP to CC ratings knowing CC’s has very little to do with actual HP. It’s a really good way of deviating from the truth to consumers, Thanks man. 👍🏽
Just bought one for auto detailing use. I will say this...my initial test told me I won't be getting rid of my gasser for tougher jobs. But for what I will use this for, it will work great. Doing all the upgrades as prescribed (hose, gun, fittings) here so appreciate the review and recommended upgrades. The provided gun and hose are completely unusable. They should sell an option without them it's so bad. Waste of money.
Hopefully ur using all the stock equipment wit it like the hose and gun becuz i have an active VE52 n it started acting up on me out of nowhere with my uberflex 50 ft hose n aftermarket shorty gun as soon as connected the original stuff it stopped acting up so now I just have it collecting dust in my garage I went back to my Portland for my detailing buisness
You've tested the Bauers and the Ryobis, so which one would you recommend. I like the Bauer because it turns completely off when not spraying, but the 90 day warranty is a concern.
Excellent technical review! I would have loved to see it actually removing dirt/grime/whatever from various things like wood/concrete/moss/car metal and such. Would have been off the charts.
Thanks for the detailed review!! The unfortunate thing is, us newbies don't know the 15mm vs 14mm issue. SO I got the uberflex BEFORE WATCHING THIS VID and was surprised it was leaking so I swapped out washers which seemed to work once. Now that I know the size issue, I want to switch back but I think I tossed those washers. haha oops. I'll get the adapters and hopefully that'll help and I've got plenty of other washers so I should be OK. Anyways - thanks again.
thankyou for providing alot of information on this one especially the PSI & GPM tests I was going to get a gas one but dont want the gas & oil and pulling hassle so I may get this one and just change the hose and wand assembly like you did .
1st. Great review of the Bauer pressure washer. Seems well constructed. I agree getting the after market hose, gun and attachments is a must. I really like the design.
I just picked this up on sale for 199. I am really hoping I can make it work for foam with the 1.1 orifice upgrade. It will be my first time washing my own car other than like, throwing a hose on my old jeep to clean mud off. Looking to do it right, but didn't want to break the bank for a gas one. Here's hoping! all my car wash stuff is on its way from Amazon.
Mine lasted 10 minutes. Wand blew off the high pressure hose. That was when I tried the 15 degree nozzle. Garbage, headed to the dump before I even pay the credit card bill.
I'm looking to buy a decent pressure washer to clean screens on my porch and vehicle washing. One issue I have that is a little unique is I have a shuttle but that the top is about 12 ft high. what kind of pressure loss and GPM loss should I expect if I went with this unit. My other options are a lot more expensive.
@@mdtransmissionspecialties Yup. Suppose so, I have the green 1800psi one.... looks like you also explained the dif. If using other nozzles, which is what I was basically thinking about... Thanks for your response.

Did you ever find out what size orfice the nozzles have? I picked one up for 60bucks but didn’t have a hose or nozzles and I only see 3.0 and above on amazon.
Question Josh you said the ubber flex hose would work with quick connects for the stock gun , do the quick connects that come in the pack that you have listed on Amazon fit the stock gun to use with the ubber flex hose ????
You bet! But honestly all of these electric pressure washers hoses a rent great. Look into the greenworks pressure washers. Some of them come with the blue uberflex hose which is awesome!
Bought this for stripping off deck grime and loose paint for a job. Psi was excellent. Worked perfect. For automotive use it’s also excellent! Is it possible that water output matters on water input? Where I live has great water psi from the street. If using well water I don’t really recommend.
Yea I’ve used some pressure washers in a gravity fed system in my truck and you do lose a little bit of psi. So having strong in flow to the machine helps
Great review. Thank you. Do you have any suggestions for pressure washer extension wands to use with this? I have a 2 story lanaii and this does not have the water distance to clean it.
It seemed like this one put out lower numbers than the $80 green one? The other one you have to replace the hose and wand if you want to use a nicer foam cannon but you say to do that for pretty much all of them sooo...
Great insight. Question: How far will it shoot? Will I be able to reach the slant metal roof? If I want to clean the metal roof without climbing a ladder, will it reach the roof from 30 feet below?
All depends on the angle on nozzle you use.. but you can also buy extension which is what I would recommend www.amazon.com/dp/B087CTSVZ7/?tag=detailgreen-20
I noticed in response to another comment you said the active VE52 was your favorite pressure washer I was just wondering why? This pressure washer was closest to its 2300 psi rating yeah the active VE52 sat around 1100 psi when you tested it. I’m wondering what good is a higher gpm with no significant pressure to back it ?
Great question. The simple truth is this. A higher gpm will allow the water flow to help move the wash away with the debris you just powered through. That’s debris that will get in your way at a lesser gpm. However, and isn’t there always a however, if you’re powerwashing say a concrete driveway and it has a horrible lack of a slope for runoff drainage, then all that extra gpm will build up very quickly and THAT will get in your way. So now you have to push all that out of your way as well. I hope this helps and good luck in making your decision. 👍🏽
Between this one, Craftsman, and Ryobi, which would you recommend as the better performance of the three? Mainly using for car washing and concrete washing. Looking for something between 1900-2300 psi. Thanks in advance.

I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model.
