The fact that she never won any awards for this is a crime
WHAT?
Not a crime, it's treason. Punishment beheading or burnt alive.
Here here
*Bring her the damn awards before I piss meself*
the show submitted emilia’s name over her all the time even though lena was a much better actress :/
Cersei actually taught Sansa a great deal...
I wish they would have crossed paths again in the last season.
Sarcastic Sid I think we all wanted things to happen in the last season 😭
Sansa inherently became Cersei with a touch of Littlefinger, she just didn't lose her ability to love. She saw outsiders, unless they proved otherwise, as a threat. She took steps that may be seen as malicious, to protect her family.
Yet Sansa and Cersei lived different lives.
Exactly cersei had great eye vision for the future for seeing someone who they really are , and in s8 sansa got that sense the minute danearys came to winterfell
I love how she always delivers her lines in an almost whisper-like manner. It's soft and feminine yet dark and regal. Like the hissing of a venomous snake just waiting to strike its prey. What a shame she didn't win any awards, she played Cersei to the T. Iconic!
Yes, I can’t see Lena as anything but Cersei 😂…..I hear she’s super nice and sweet in real life, but in this show I loathed her so much 😂
Drunk cersei giving Sansa snarky life advice is one of the highlights of the shows
Well Cersei is a good example of how alcoholysm destroys people. In the end with all that wine, she was no better than Robert.
This is actually the only moment when she was smart and brave
@@mariuszmiroslaw2290the theme is that she wanted to BE Robert. She was imitating his behaviour when she could, as she saw it as a mark of power.
In the books she does more stuff, like sleep with a woman and her “Myrish Swamp” trying to imitate and relive what it must be like to be a man and king with such power.
“Everywhere in the world they hurt little girls.” Is fucking such a raw line. I forgot how fucking hard this show went
That line has haunted me for years bc it’s so true 😢
Little boys too!@@geraldinelafayette1838
I love the "power is power" moment so much
That shit was weak lmao that's something a 8 year spoiled princess would do and say lol
@@hoemie2587 That's practically what she is though. An incredibly spoiled, pampered noble woman that never grew up. She always got her way, never had to struggle for anything and was never punished for anything she did. No matter how cruel, vindictive or unfair her actions were, she never got punished. Until the walk of shame that is. But by then, punishment didn't teach her the error of her ways, it just made her more crazy and hateful.
Still though, she's right. Knowledge IS power to an extent. It gave Littlefinger the power to create absolute chaos, a ladder for him to climb. But it wouldn't have stopped Cercei having him killed, because she had real tangible power that he didn't have.
@@PumpkinHoard she did not have tangible power lol she had nothing but tywins shadow. Hell even when he was still around she still could never get things to work out. After Tywin died all her plans kept costing her more and more. Knowledge is power tho but as Tywin said, she thinks she’s smarter than she really is. Without the Lannister name Cersei would have kicked the bucket a long time ago. She was always too short sighted to accomplish anything worth praising, and even then she relied on other people way too much
@@hoemie2587 Lol, she demonstrably DOES have tangible power though. Did you miss the Lannister soldiers ready to kill Littlefinger at a moments notice? And what would the consequence have been for her had she not stopped them killing him? None. Maybe a light scolding from daddy, though he may well have approved of killing the treacherous turd given the context. That is real tangible power. Granted, it all stems from her father and her families wealth, but it's as she says. Power is power. And she had the power to kill him there and then, regardless of whatever power he thought his knowledge gave him.
I don't deny that she's a fucking idiot at times. More intelligent than average as Tyrion stated, but completely lacking the wisdom to use it effectively. None of that changes the fact that she was one of the most powerful people in Westeros.
@@PumpkinHoard she was not powerful
You know you’ve nailed a role as an actor when your character is supposed to be universally hated but instead she has one of the biggest fan bases lmao 😂
That's because people projected their own skewed ideas and opinions onto her.
"She does what she does for family", and the like.
Bullshit. Family was her EXCUSE... nothing more... as if there is a good excuse to do the shit she has done, anyway. But apparently a lot of people think that genocide, rape, torture, murder, backstabbing, and war-mongering are ALL excusable... as long as we "do it for family".
Man, this entire PLANETS morals are in the shitter.
I have hated the character since I first heard her speak... and I mean HATE.
That's said, Lena Heady definitely deserves an award (whatever the fuck those are good for) for making me hate a fictional character.
@@thisisnotachannel u might be right or u might be digging to deep
@@thisisnotachannel honestly I think that’s most of the characters in game of thrones, but she’s a pretty prime example. I think you hit the mail in the head with why people like game of thrones in general. People can relate to the characters in ways they don’t even want to admit. George R Martin did a pretty fantastic job of writing a series with basically no true good guys. Everyone does terrible (or unkind, or petty) things for their own reasons, but doesn’t that just sound like the world we live in? Sure there’s character arches and some people are overall good-ish. But there sure isn’t a superman that emerges to save the day. And no one lives happily ever after.
@@thisisnotachannel thats not the case at all, most people including me love cersei because shes a good villian..
@@thisisnotachannel you're thinking way too deep about this lmao. People like her because she has an amazing and well developed character.
Cersei Lannister! One of the best written characters ever! Love her, hate her, she had one of the best chatacter archs in GOT and made everyone love the show that much more. Lena Headey deserves numerous awards for this role, she truly made this character her own, and not another soul on this planet could hold a candel to her portayl of her.
Yea they made her way better than her book counterpart. In the book she was more vicious and way more stupid
@@901stinababy absolutely! She was much more like Joffrey in the books
Yep. I hated book Cersei. She never even came off as human. I love the television version of her.
No god but Allah

Search for the truth and right way with honest heart And ask him for the right way for his mercy.
@@901stinababy I’ve just started listening to the books and wow, I like show Cersei SO much more. She’s basically just a total brat in the books. Like…an annoying evil little girl. And she seems stupider. The show had its flaws, yes, but Cersei was not one of them. The saddest thing about season 8 was that Lena barely got to speak or do anything, really. She and Aidan Gillen were amazing and so interesting to watch.
Power is Power scene. Just absolutely iconic it's unreal.
I remind you of the Varys riddle 😉
Obama and Trump reminded me of this Cersei and Littlefinger scene.
You can have the smoothest, most velvety tongue in the world. But an illogical, senseless, primal, emotional, brute force of nature can’t be reasoned with.
I love Cerseis response to "We dont hurt little girls in Dorne" Cersei is not the smartest player but she's not naive.
She must have even been the creators favorite character, i mean she got to say the name of the show
The was a line from George, she said it in the first book too.
She was also the last person to sit on that throne
Daenerys didn’t get to sit she died
Power is power was badass!!!!
I agree 👍👍
No doubt.
Absolute badass 🔥
A hostile dragon perched right in front of ones tower is power.
She was the BEST written character on that show. So complex
Best performed as well. Or at least top 3. I did like Dany as well.
I loved their parallel paths to tragedy.
she wasn't that complex. She wanted to be queen, and would do whatever to get it. And she was a bitch.
@@pokemontas8025 the way they wrote her was smart, she wasn’t power hungry BECAUSE she wanted power, I think that personally she wanted power to keep her family secure because she loved them so much, the constant battle for power was to protect her family which were slowly taken away from her, her 2 firstborn children dying, it was essentially making all her fighting for power seem worthless, just my interpretation
@@crypticxo6622 no you’re spot on Bc I literally had an argument with a friend about this! Cerseis motivations were very complex and unless you truly looked at who her character was you would just think of her as the classic evil villain when she was way more than that. She was a mother trying to survive in a world she watched ripped everything you hold dear away, and after losing her mother and the love she thought she was going to have with Rob- she never looked back
Hated to love and Loved to hate her 😂

literally the best character of all time even tho she's an awful awful awful person
I agree. She was pure evil but she was the best character on the show.
The writers were so bad in season 8. The real Cersei would have done a lote more than just stand in her castle lol.
@@Dutchmusicfan1992 Cersei was never pure evil. We've seen that with the likes of Joffrey and Ramsay. Cersei even acknowledges the monster Joffrey was, if she were evil she'd be happy with him. Cersei was cool if you weren't a threat. If anything she's more like her father, she was ruthless when it was needed, but unfortunately for her, it was her decision making that placed her into many situations she wound up in.
So you are a voltop
@@janellejulianajoy i totally agree
Lena headey was amazing in the role
No one, absolutely no one, could possibly portray a more complex, hated and prominent character like Lena Headey in Game of Thrones. I really miss watching her as Cersei Lannister.
Your profile picture is so cute lol

@@Voltron4500 "as has Jaime repeatedly according to Stannis Baratheon."
She says awful things so elegantly
Yea it's called bitch mode
That line, "everywhere in the world they hurt little girls," it was never explored beyond that. If Cersei had only been protected . . .
Honerable mentions: Cersei threatening Maester Pycell at the wedding, Cersei confronting Septa in the dungeons. She was and still is my fav character of the show, *sigh* I wish we'd have gotten a lot more of her in the final season.
Cersei is a legend. Blowing up the sept was so spectacular. Or the tower of the hand in the books.
She should have had more elephants all through the show, would have made her double the badass that she was.
what, Cersei as a main character just standing around and dying by falling bricks wasnt good enough for u?
Oh I love when she's pissed off at the wedding so she just goes for Pycelle and threatens to feed him to dogs 😂
2:20 : and that is exactly why Cersei Lannister is undoubtedly a Slytherin.
That scene is like watching a Ravenclaw get bullied by a Slytherin :) #slytherin4life
@@la1495 littlefinger is a slytherin
@@mychannel-rt2gn not a very good one
The most dangerous Game of Thrones drinking game there is, with the benefit of hindsight, is to take a sip whenever Cersei Lannister says something that will later be proven absolutely right. And of course, Lena Headey’s was the standout performance on GoT.
“Power is power.” Tbh, one of the most satisfying moments in GOT. Watching her put Littlefinger in his place.
2:22
I really like that scene, where we see Cersei, command all these things, just to show him, that "Power is Power". I mean. I don't know, there's just something over this scene that I really like.
She's like, "I'll show you what power is."
Good to see Littlefinger shitting his pants. And he always looked like he was wearing a dress
@@eudk5271 credit to the actor for making him so dislikeable
He told him "u dont have power, I do"
Even though her statement is such bs like "what do you mean Cersei you use spies and seduce people for information every chance you get. You know damn well that littlefinger's right." but that's why she fears him and knows the threat he is
You mean your father's power?
That scene, with Marjorie, where Cerceis talking aout how Joffrey shocked her, is an INCREDIBLE scene.
The scene between her and Margarey, watching on Tommen, is one of the best scenes in the show. The way you feel the tension (and danger) both of them are in with the other and then suddenly it just drops, so subtly, as they start to speak frankly. Great dialogue and a masterclass in acting from Lena and Natalie.
Agreed you can see the jealousy at the young and coming beauty that's as ambitious as her.
While Cersei fears and despises Margaery, in this scene she felt relieved that she could speak the truth about Joffrey, and that she would understand and not snap back at her, because Margaery is good enough at the Game to understand that when a monster like Cersei is speaking from a place of vulnerability, you should let her be
Man, lord bailesh has some spine calling out Cersei on Jaime and her incest 🤣
Lena Headey was never given enough credit for her amazing portrayal of Cersei. A show is only as good as it’s villain. Emmy nominations were insufficient. Cersei eventually became my favorite character - her scenes riveting. Brava
When you realize that Cersei was the only character that literally never left the Red Keep...makes it more impactful when Daenerys destroyed it
what do you mean, 1st season she was in Winterfell
@@fleeko180 Not the entire season. I meant it as more that she never was shown anywhere other than in Kings Landing for like her whole character arc
@@fleeko180 imagine naming 10/4000 minutes as an example lol
@@ericb8241 i was answering to "literally never left the Red Keep" that's not literal. I can see the point tho
Lena did an amazing job.
When she talked about myrcella, was the most human and beautiful thing cersei ever said and that and when tommen died( tho i believe it will be alot different i think he will be push out of the window in front of cersei just like bran was pushed out the window by her and jaime) was the moment she died as well.
drunk cersei terrifying innocent little sansa is one of the best scenes in the entire show. "it was expected of me!" lmao😂😂 sansa: "and if the city should fall?" the way she squints at sansa "you'd like that, wouldnt you?" is so funny. she looks like she wants to slap sansa but knows that sansa has every right to wish for Stannis to win.
agreed these are some of the best scenes, a diabolical mother.
I CHOOSE VIOLENCE
It wasn’t just the line but the defiant look on her face that made that scene iconic
As Tyrion said .. I'm not particularly good at violence, but I'm good at convincing others to do violence for me. Seems that runs in the family
You forgot her most iconic line "More wine!"
This show had no shortage of brilliant actors but I’ve got to say, I truly think the best one out of all of them is Lena Headey. What she was able to pull off as Cersei Lannister is nothing short of extraordinary.
Her calm tone is ironically so loud that it speaks soooo much power. Only she could ever nail her role indeed.
You should have included when she has her revenge on Septa Unella and introduces her to the Mountain “your Gods have forsaken you. This is your God now”- my all time favorite.
That line literally gave me chills. I love Lena Headey.
Shame! Shame!… 🥶
Absolutely, that was such a dark and gruesome moment.
The best character in the history of television
They did her dirty in season 8 but she's still one of the best written characters in all of television history
I might be the only one but Lannisters are my fav in GOT. Like evil but iconic. Like Twyin Cersei Jamie tyrion and Joffrey(Joffrey is the only one i dislike but he was iconic as well) they’re all iconic
Drunk Cersei was iconic lol.
Cersei’s probably the very few at least somewhat consistent characters throughout most of run time of the show.
Exactly what drew me to her, I loved to hate her ,she kept me on toes everytime!!
I would say Lena is what made Cersei great the last few seasons cause it sure as hell wasn’t dumb and dumber
Cersei was a straight up gangster.
Not Gangsta, but Gangster.
Lucchese, Colombo, Genovese. Bonnano, Gambino.
Lannister
😂👍🏽
She was diabolical but so great
Watching her journey on Game of Thrones was always a pleasure! Definitely one of the standout performances and a character you hate and love at the same time. She deserved better than to get crushed by falling debris and I wish we saw more of her in later seasons.
#18 should be on a top 10 Bobby B line list. “Wear it in silence or I’ll honor you again” savage
Cersei: You still mourn for Joffrey
Margaery: He was my husband..My King
Cersei: He would have been your nightmare
The only time I genuinely felt bad for Cersei was when she was mourning for Myrcella...
Oh I felt for her with every child she lost. This is why she didn't give an f what happened. You lose a child and you lose will to live or how evil you are. She was taking that pain and fueling her hatred for what events took place.
She was literally raped and abused by her husband and talked about that
She did seem really sweet. It's a shame she had to die over this blood feud. Oberon died because he wanted to avenge his sister and her children. It appeared it was an order from the Lannisters to kill them.
I cannot fathom the fact that lena headay didn't win an Emmy for GOT. She was hands down the best actress in the series.
agreed at least once.
I feel like the cast was full of great and underrated actors.. (especially LittleFinger's actor, Tyrion's and Tywin's.. Jaime's..) many good actors that carried the show till the end even tho the writers lacked the skills to give these actors what they deserves.. justice to their characters
The moment Robert hit her and threatened to hit her more, he dug his own grave!
Just demonstrates that Cercei was not after honor in this show :D
What a dumb man
Choosing Ned was a mistake, it was just another reminder for both of them Lyanna. Tensions were high after Jon Arryn’s death.
Cersei's hair were gorgeous
Tywin and Cersei were the exact same but at the same time exact opposites. They both ruled over the 7 Kingdoms with fear. But Tywin ruled with such fear that everyone wanted peace and nobody wanted to fight him, but the way Cersei ruled everyone feared her but at the same time she was out of control and everyone feared her so much they knew she needed to be destroyed
6:01 Something I appreciate about Oberyn is that he didn't try to argue the point. He understands that her pain and worry is more important right now than his pride in his country.
“POWER is power” 👌🏽 still one of my favorite moments
"Unlimited power!!!" was a related quote from another show.
I have never loved any character more than her. It's perfect...
💗💗💗Cersei the best
"power is power." What a scene!
"I choose violence" lol! my bitch STAYED READY FOR THE SMOKE! LOL
Was always my favorite character! such a badass, strong, female lead. It's a damn shame they gave her a weak ending..it didnt do her justice.
"Do you feel powerful now?" The way Lena did that scene with the perfect pacing gave me chills.
The Lannister’s should have had lions in the show.
And elephants too
😁😁😁
"Shame Shame Shame" was her best line for vengeance...
She may have been one awful person, but if there was a single redeeming quality that she possessed it was this: she loved her children and would've done anything for them
That and her cheekbones
And her rage. I find myself relation so strongly with Cersei, I used to hate her when I was a bit younger, but as time went on, as I got hurt by people, my rage and resentment just became stronger and stronger. Cersei represents my anger and rage and resentment. And she brings me great joy seeing how she makes her enemies suffer. I wish I could do the same.
@@pbj4142You're weak. Nothing like Cersei
The casting in this show was spectacular
I choose violence is a very good line
Number 7 was and still is perfectly justified and felt good, I was so glad. The sand snakes got what they deserved
Miss Cersei sooooo freaking much. Best character
My all-time favourite GoT character. She was just amazing, a mind-blowingly well-written villainx
She had the best lines for an evil Queen
" I should wear the armor, and you the gown". Can't fade my laugh out of it.😂
"Tears aren´t a woman´s only weapon. The best one´s between your legs" .... I love Cersei 🤣🤣
POWER IS POWER. That has got to be the number 1 Cersei line🤣
My favourite female character in the show. One of the best written characters. What a great actress.
also the scene where she finally gets even with that nun omg… “i killed your high sparrow because it felt good”
Seeing this makes me wants to watch to whole show again. Cersei's one of the best characters on television history.
she is the queen
God I love long-hair Cersei.
One of my favorite moments of her was when she went to Margaery and said to her at the end of their conversation “remember, anything you need”, then walked out with her soldiers to a boss theme in the background.
When you take about well drawn characters…features of so many characters in this series are defined in such a beautiful way. All their decisions and motivations feel natural. It all just flows
I love the physical character development! I never realised this before, but her outfits and hair styles become more and more complex during the seasons (more subtle in the earlier ones). It's super fun to watch!
MOST ICONIC CHARACTER IN THE GAME OF THRONES
She was my favorite character, yeah, she was evil but damn, the moments she created were so thrilling to watch ✨✨
Even though Hollywood might not cast her after this I’ll still admire her and always
Why wouldn't they?
AMGK 02 typecast
Why wouldn't they cast her u make nonsense
She was the lead in the first Purge
She is such a good actress🤍
“Come here, little dove…”
One of those phrases that gives Sansa Vietnam flashbacks, no doubt lol
2:42 "Cha cha real smooth"
Susan Li haha
"This is your God now" was one of the best lines by evil, dark, mad Cersei. What a great scene!
Lena Hedley was marvellous as in this role . She totally nailed it.
1:23 "When you play the Game of Thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground." Always will be my favorite quote. For me, it was the first time she told the truth, not just about her f***ed up fam but how the lifestyle of the South worked. What happened to those who misused power and authority
She's got some of the best lines in the show
My personal favorite: LOOK AT ME! My face will be the last thing you'll see before you die.
the most lovable villain ever !
she had so many layers to her.
Think I need a GOT binge watch again lol
Thank you for this. I'm working on doing Cersei impressions for a funny video. This was very helpful.
Glad you liked my video, Cersei is a very well-written villain 😃
Number 9 is easily the best written Cersei monologue to me. It shows how she actually views herself, even she knows she is an evil person but somehow hoped that her children being good people would make her believe otherwise.
everywhere in the world they hurt little girls
I was kinda happy for Cersei that she got to have everything she wanted, to be the ruler and be with Jamie for a time.
Cersei is a Queen. No doubt
But I’m howling @ Robert saying
“Wear it in silence, or I’ll honour you again” 😭😭
It's honestly one of my favorite lines of the series lol
Robert was great, all of his lines are gold. The man actually had just a quick wit, it's sad he was too obsessed with Lyanna and losing her to do anything with it.
I could have watched seasons and seasons of Robert being a savage to everybody around him.
When I watch got without subtitles i thought Cersei was the villain. With subtitles she give me the valuable lesson..When you love's more you are weak more😮😮😮
Lena not winning a single award is the biggest shame of all time in television history
Cersei was the best. Truly. Lena nailed it so much. I loved her with all my heart.
My favorite character in the entire series.
Power is power. The best line among these lines.
