This is the craziest reversal I've ever seen. Huge props to Kiyarash for holding up even after 2 games where it seemed like Luigi could not do anything to get back stage control. He's crazy good, and so is Dom he still did really good
This richter is played to absolute perfection. I don’t think someone could ever play better with him then Dom

This is a great set AND great commentary. Hilarious quips and little moments like “you don’t have the answers sway” and the “too much dip on ya chip” had me dying. Awesome video.

Game 5 Kiyarash really made this "worst" matchup look easy
It is a mixture of Kiyarash playing godlike and T3 Dom doing brainless spamming

In game 3, Dom seemed to almost stop using special moves altogether. Im not sure why as this seemed to change the matchup entirely
They're pretty punishable.
I think Kiyarash kept close to dom and started parrying a lot, he didn't let him do his proyectile game. And Dom started tilting just to get him out of his face (spoiler alert: he couldn't)

The difference between Elegant and Kiyarash is that Kiyarash masters parries , this ables him to abuse Luigi’s punish game more than Elegant
They're both good but kyryash should start going to majors
But elegant adapts to many of his opponents habits super well, ever since his smash 4 days. There’s so many things kyarash could have done that I think elegant would have, like in game 2 when Dom was at his last stock, he was DI in the entire match but as soon as he saw this could be the end, he DI’s out and Kiyarash didn’t capitalize on it. This is fairly common amongst smash players and Elegant has done this a lot in my time watching him. One example I can think of on the top of my head is his set with yonni, don’t remmeber which game but elegant read the habit and won the match. Not saying Kiyarash is bad though, I mean he beat Dom for gods sake.

Can't stand watching any set with Belmonts. The shit is boring. Yeah there's a tiny bit of muscle memory or distancing to make sure your holy water lands on the ledge, other than that it's just spam projectiles. Like if you watch these first games dom isn't even engaging or fighting Luigi for most of them. He's just sitting there at safe range spamming projectiles and whip and getting kills without even having to engage with the opponent. I know it's all personal preference and shit but this takes the fun out of the game for me if you can just sit in one spot and not have to fight anyone or worry about getting hit, dodging, blocking countering etc etc etc. Lame as fuck.
Lol. Learn your stuff, kiddo. Belmonts have to move like crazy so they can space correctly, since they lack frame data and a lot of their moves have a good amount of cooldown, they have to make up for it by timing their attacks and controlling space. They can't engage quite like some brawlers like say mario as most of their stuff is unsafe on block unless they space correctly or end crossing up. Also any belmont main MUST master the whip angles as it can net them kills or just help them space. Needless to say the angles help them with their combo game. They actually combo their projectiles with aerials for instance axe can lead to a fair mostly used during edgeguards (straight or angled up) cross can combo into fair or even more aerials. A belmont main must also know where the opponent will end in order to cover the space properly also during ledge trap they have to time the projectiles to help themselves react and get a kill. Of course they keep distance Any whiff vs a character witg better frame data translates into damage or death. That does not mean they don't interact lol. It's ok if you don't like them but don't go saying uninformed dumb stuff. Reason games 1 and 2 seemed that way was because dom was playing great and the remaining 3 games are just a testament to what happens when belmonts get figured out or the opponent manages to break into their zone. That's how volatile their matchups can be. Needless to say they're heavy and have big bodies (hence combo food), lack air moblity and frame data and their recovery is exploitable af
If my opponent just holds forward and keeps tanking my whip, cross and holy water with his face, then im going to keep throwing them until he figures out where his R button is.
Kinda sad that luigi gets wayyy more than richter does and it's a lot easier to do as well, I feel bad for dom but this is what he signed up for as a richter main

this is literally a plus 2 for richter. luigi deserves to get every single hit because even getting an opening is hard enough
