    Thanks for the video! Beautiful 392! My 4.0 inline six 2003 TJ with a 3 in lift and 33's gives me 14mpg with the wind in my favor and going downhill.

    Your 2 door has a smaller fuel tank, so fuel range will be lower, love the mpg on the 392, enjoy the ride!!!

    • @drivenmad2089
      @drivenmad2089  Před 2 lety

      Yep, it’s just funny that with 2 more cylinders and all that extra weight it will get basically the same MPG as my 2 door haha

    If I don't break 70 mph or accelerate quickly from take Off which I do to Much because I have a tune The fuel to Air mixture ratio change it Now has 328 HP and around 283 lb of torque to The rear wheels Dyno from 285 And 260 to The Crank is a Big upgrade without any turbo supercharger forced induction sorry off track I have gotten up to 340 Miles to a Full tank And it's a 18.6 gallon tank 2015 JK 2 Door Sharah 6 speed manual transmission but All The Way into empty with gas light on for a while low fuel it says when you pass under 30 Miles to empty And still takes forever to completly phiscaly run out of gas to Ware it rolls to a stop which has never quite happened to me yet! But normally spirted driving about 270 miles to a full tank so you're still basically right thanks for the great work video

    Smaller tank on 2-Dr = less range. Have noticed big mpg difference between 60, 65 & 75 mph (with AT & 3.6L on 35’s with no lift). All are just a big box aerodynamically, so speed has a huge effect on mpg.

    • @drivenmad2089
      @drivenmad2089  Před 2 lety

      Yep, I’m going to do another test and actually go further on a tank to see if that brings the average MPG up. But they are definitely just mildly styled bricks in the wind haha
      Thanks for watching!

    Yea, 15.3 MPG. But, the 392 needs premium gas. While the V6 uses regular. I have the 392 in my '19 Challenger, itv get's pretty good gas mileage because it has Multi-Cylinder Deactivation. My Challenger gets 35 plus MPG doing between 50 and 65 MPH in 8th gear. At about 70 all 8 cylinders are firing and the mileage drops to around 19mpg, 18mpg at 80mph.

    • @drivenmad2089
      @drivenmad2089  Před 2 lety

      Yeah if I had set the cruise control to 65 I probably would’ve gotten better MPG. But that’s a little too slow for me on a 4 hour drive haha
      Thanks for watching!

    • @jim6682
      @jim6682 Před 2 lety

      The 392 Wrangler also has cylinder deactivation.

  • @charlesschroeter753
    @charlesschroeter753 Před 2 lety

    I get about 17.5-18 mpg with my 392. I drive a little slower (cruise at 65 mph when I can use cruise) but I also drive 88 miles thru canyons on a two lane road to commute back and forth to work.

    • @drivenmad2089
      @drivenmad2089  Před 2 lety

      That’s not too surprising. I have a feeling had a done 70 the whole way, and not used the adaptive cruise because it’s very aggressive I could’ve got much better MPG.
      Thanks for watching!

    Nice content. To do a complete Jeep comparison, you'd need to use a 4 door, 8 speed, Automatic. Maybe a friend can help you out?

    • @drivenmad2089
      @drivenmad2089  Před 2 lety

      Yeah that would be good but I literally know no one else with a New JL that’s close haha

    When I got my 392 I did not consider MPG I considered SPG (Smiles Pre Gallon), I also have a Charger Hell Cat SPG

  • @73challenger86
    @73challenger86 Před 2 lety

    Range comparison with your 2 dr does not mean a lot because the 392 likely has a much larger tank capacity than your 2 door. But impressive MPG anyway for such a beast. My 5.3LT powered JKUR only does about 18-19 to the USGal.

    • @drivenmad2089
      @drivenmad2089  Před 2 lety

      Probably pretty significantly with 37’s and up. Might not be that big of a difference with “just” 35’s.
