When the Fortnite X Disney was announced they showed off tons of the old skins you can't even get which hurt the idea more in my head more than me wanting more Disney related IPs. Like I don't wanna skip a season thinking oh I don't have time and I don't really care only for like 2 years down the line they do something cool with the character and I wanna play as them for a bit but can't. hell when we got the Deadpool and Wolverine trailer a bit ago I wanted to play as one of them but guess what. I own neither because I quit during that time.
It would feel weird to have battle pass skins not be exclusive to their respective season but for newer players, it would give them the chance to play as one of their favorite characters that are in the game that they may not have been able to unlock due to reasons possibly out of their control

I agree with that I used to have the skins as well I had the Black Knight and a lot more cosmetics but my account got hacked and I lost it all also my friend on chapter 2 season 4 is by the past because he had to go to the hospital he was playing his game and he had a seizure and he almost died and I also missed the season as well as the only by the past I didn't have on that account I got hacked because I went to the hospital with they should definitely somehow eventually bring at least bring back the collab skins cuz I really want Deadpool iron Man Superman and much more

@@fatmanfatty2548 friend bought the battle pass chapter 2 battle pass but he didn't get to finish it because he had a seizure playing the game and we had to send him to the hospital and he missed out and he really wanted that season
how about a "create your own battle pass" where you can pick skins from previous seasons to slide into a battle pass roster. so you dont get all of them, you just get the few that you select, and everyone gets this opportunity (players who already have every skin could get like some legendary edit styles)
and it changes every few months like how usually battlepasses do? i think that's a good idea and its cool but at the same time im not sure on how it would work

Yeah for example, after you complete the main battlepass and complete the bonus rewards epic lets you choose 1 battlepass from the older seasons to complete and you have the rest of the season to complete the battlepass you choose

Battle Passes are actually super cheap, so I see no issue with BP skins returning since newer players would have to spend quite some v-bucks to get them. The main advantage of BP then stops being exclusivity but rather "early-access" and "great value for your money". Gatekeeping skins is lame tbh.

I am a new player so I am completely bias in this take, but I don't see any harm in letting people buy older BP skins at their respective rarity price. The BP for 950 VBUCKS is still an amazing value option, and should be the new focus on the BP instead of the shitty FOMO that we see now. In fact, there would still be FOMO because you'd be missing out on a good deal instead of missing out on something forever.
I hope this topic doesn’t lose momentum and Epic actually takes this into consideration. New players’ enjoyment of older cosmetics doesn’t/shouldn’t hinder the enjoyment of the older players. Plus it’s not like the items are being taken away from you so I don’t see what the problem is.

@@Ayo_GamerKidthis argument doesn’t hold any merit bc it’s not actually that hard to complete the battle pass. The only times I’ve found it difficult to finish a pass is when I’m not enjoying the game itself. Yet there are multiple ways to get around this: Xp glitching and buying your way through or maybe letting someone else play in your account.
The problem is, some of us players enjoy having a bit of pride. We gained these cosmetics by playing the game and supporting it for 6 years ( depending on when you started ). Is it so wrong to be able to own something thats just for you. Epic locks the skins away for a reason. We should just leave it that way. Instead new players are dissapointed that they missed out, well guess what: Thats life. Life is full of dissapointments, there are other skins you can buy from the shop. For example: Spider-man Zero was available in shop, that's pretty much Spiderman. Not everyone has to be the same, but sadly thats what everyone wants.

I tend to use the argument that digital cosmetics hold way less value and the only reason they would is bc it’s labeled to be valuable, which in my eyes, doesn’t mean shit. It can be limitlessly distributed and so I find it weird to hold these skin as valuable simply bc you paid for them at a specific time. It’s weird bc I can agree with early seasons but at some point the cosmetics became over saturated and don’t feel special. I’d argue a majority of battle pass originals aren’t even that good. It’s just annoying that they put collabs and trick people into thinking that collabs should be the only reason to buy the pass.

Halo Infinite has the superior battlepass system, you dont lose accsses to a battlepass even after a season ends, and you can buy previous battlepasses if you choose to do so. There s litterally no reason for Fortnite to not do this, as a battlepass only expires for the sake of creating the illusion of digital scarcity and exclusivity, which is dumb. Selling previous battlepasses would mean more money for epic and it would make people come back to play the game more frecuently.
I mean i would Buy the Marvel season in a heartbeat if that was an option.

I’ll never understand why people get upset because more people get to enjoy stuff they like. Is not like anything is getting taken away from them and like it’s just being given away for free. Shit costs money.
I think that it would be cool if they gave the original owners of the skins an extra style. So even if Spider-Man comes back with the default, symbiote, and Future Foundation styles, we get an extra cool color change or something like that. I’m not going to freak out if it doesn’t happen, but I would prefer it.

I think it's a very smart idea to release collab BP skins in the shop with their base forms so some players who missed out can get them, it's clear to see here that a lot of us players who own these skins agree that they should come back so others can enjoy them as they wish! This is actually a really tough situation for fortnite to make the decision to either bring out past exclusive collabs and make a lot of people mad or don’t and keep people arguing, (and to mention the ch2 s4 battlepass is all collabs even though I want the skins)
league of legends ended up bringing back exclusive skins that used to be advertised as unique and exclusive
what they did was give older owners a visual indication that they are OG and I think that's great
as someone who has most of the collab battle pass skins, if they release the collab battle pass skins into the item shop it would benefit everyone, both players and epic games. what they should do is release the skins back into the item shop at full price (1800-3200 for the full bundle for each bundle), and keep the super styles for the collab skins exclusive to their battle pass.
So while I can understand the pride of having worked on getting skins from old passes and spending money to unlock those passes, I feel like newer players who joined after some of those passes have passed by should be given a chance to unlock maybe certain characters from each pass. Like have a system set up where new players can access the old passes for a little bit and allowed to pick only one character from each pass and then allowed to work their way to getting that character's set. For example, maybe the player wants one of the Seven, like the Scientist. They get allowed into the pass that contain the scientist, pick him, then the rest of that pass is locked away forever from that player and they are only allowed to grind for the stuff for the Scientist.
Nah just make it so that you can buy it but can only complete it during the season you bought it

I like the whole idea when keeping base styles, but I think one of the only exceptions to this would be ghost and shadow from ch2s2, considering it was from the actual pass and not bonus rewards. All bonus rewards should be completely locked for “OGs”. I also think that only people who played during the season can purchase them, that way no-lifers won’t cry that they stayed loyal to the game because they would’ve played at the same time as someone who is able to purchase them again. Just my opinion!
I believe 100% of the battle pass has to return i wanna see the no-lifers cry when newer players eliminate them with their own skins and the greedy sweats that take pride in being "OG" NEED to be humbled

I definitely think that something can be worked out with collab skins (but not other BP skins) and especially Crew Pack skins. I personally own most of them, but I remember thinking to myself “Eh, they’ll put Loki in the item shop eventually” and it never came. What Epic could do is add them to the item shop at an increased price (300-500 more Vbucks)

1) they allow people to buy old BP and grind through it. Probably just have them exclude the super level skins variation so those that did get it during the time say they got it before.

2) have collab skin come into the shop. Maybe remix the skinsa a bit so they arent exactly the battle pass skins but still a versikn you can get. Take iron man for example have him use a different version of him in his suit

They should release all the battle pass collab in the shop. But they should give everyone compensation for the people that grinded the battle pass. I personally don’t think they should release the original made skins in the battle pass like omega or black knight. That’s just my thoughts though.

Okay so I’m a season 3 Reaper owner and I personally feel that there should be no exclusivity on the skins rather if you get it from the battle pass you got it for cheap rather than dropping $20 and if it’s really that big of a deal then the OG owners get their very own added skin to the OG’s. I mean I want people to experience the old skins and get a chance to obtain the Black Knight

epic games would make way more money from the item shops, and players would be able to use the collab skins they want. if they do release the collab battle pass skins into the item shop they should just keep the super styles for them exclusive.

Why don’t they just make it so older battlepass cosmetics are available to purchase, or that the old battlepasses are able to be purchased and completed, kinda like how crew pack has different stages for the cosmetics. Plus just give the people who had the original battlepass an extra style or something lol.
Don't put the skins themselves in the item shop, give battle passes there own section in the item shop.
Epic should allow players to get old BP for players that got their accounts actives back then , for example , my account got active from season 3 chapter 1 , I didn’t get the chance to buy the battle pass from that season , well then , all players that got their accounts active during this season could get an last chance to buy the pass and max it but only once , and only the accounts that were active , and let’s say you played in season 2 you’re account was active you bought the BP but didn’t finish it , well epic would give you one last chance trying to finish the pass and it will keep the rarity since only the dudes from before can get these.
If they did bring back old BP skins, they should give an exclusive style to those who earned them originally. At this point, Dragon ball, Futurama and Rick and Morty will be the only returning colab skins because the item shop has been almost exactly the same for two weeks
Bigger problem not many people mention is that using a battle pass system where you can´t get anything is going against trying to avoid people from buying/selling accounts.

I think the most fair thing is just to enable players to purchase battlepass content that they got to play, like if you played in chapter 1 season 4 but didnt get to buy battlepass now you can buy the cosmetics but now as if they were in the shop, that doesnt remove exclusiveness from anyone, it just lets buddies like you get an opportunity to get cosmetics they do deserve to have

I agree that old bp skins should be sold in the shop, I have a lot of og skins and I think others who didn’t get them back then for any reason should get a chance. I missed all of chapter 2 and I regret missing the marvel season, and Lara Croft mostly but if given the chance id get all the chapter 2 skins. Hopefully we’ll all get a chance to get what we missed out on
I feel like a good resolution to this issue would be for them to maybe either just resell the BPs back to the shop minus bonus styles and let people regrind them. Or make it to where if you buy a BP but don't complete it you will get challenges the next season to get to complete it (again minus the bonus styles). Doing this would still keep a sense of exclusivity to grinding the BP in it's respective season but also give players a chance to still get the skins that they like and couldn't get cause they were locked behind a BP. Another idea could be some sort of trading system like they have on Steam where you can trade cosmetics with other players. Idk what do y'all think. Personally I wish I could have the season 7, 8, 9, and X BP skins but I didn't start really getting into the game until C2S2
Something they can do is release collab battle pass skins several seasons after they were in the battle pass. For example, if this were to come back now, I could see Deadpool and Aquaman in the item shop, and next season, some of the Ch2 S4 Marvel skins
Just make them come as occasional rental skins since that was a feature that was in the works that way when they come people can use them for a little and then they rotate out. Example would be but spiderman and spidergwen as rentals for two weeks when a new spiderman movie comes out. Cause most of the time the only time people want to use those skins is when there tends to be hype around the franchise.

I've got most of the battle pass colabs, if they are re-released in the item shop i don't care i want people to rock their favourite fiction and non-fiction characters and people in game as it is awesome when people can play as their favourite characters, i grinded out these characters over the years and want people who didn't to have the chance to play as them
They're not going to edit past battle passes, but possibly future ones.
Epic could easily bring those collaboration Battle Pass skins to the item shop by creating edit styles that are exclusive to the people who earned them in previous Battle Passes.
A way I can see this working is if the skins from the battlepass don't cycle through shop until 2 seasons pass. It would make more content when new seasons do come out and even make them more money, so it is honestly in their best interest to do that.
Also if they bring Spider-Man back he needs his black suit is Iconic.

My opinion on the whole BP exclusive skins is that they should make them available at some point and or you can grind them or buy them whenever they rotate in the shop maybe, but those who have had said BP's for a while get an exclusive edit style, or in the comment in the video, the extra edit styles are only to those who had the BP's. I would say this is pretty fair as people can use their favorite characters now while also still keep things exclusive sorta. Fair system to me and I would like to believe someday they will make BP skins available. I just can only hope it's not bad and while still contains the while exclusive element.
If they do add a way to get the old bps , i think they could add a voting system that would bring back 1 of 3 bps they put on a poll, and you would have to pay more maybe?or just the regular amount idrk
I think they should make it so you can buy old versions of battle passes or a battle pass where you can pick 5 skins from previous battle passes to grind for
I'm obviously sad that a lot like Iron Man and Darth Vader won't come back, but with like Spiderman, it would be nice to get the battle pass version and that one is the more general Spiderman, but I actually prefer the look of the item shop one. Also, with Thor, maybe its just because I'm used to the one in the MCU instead of any comic books or animated shows, but I don't really like the battle pass version but do like the item shop version.

i think that battlepass collab skins should come back to the itemshop but for people who already have the skins should get some form of compensation for their time and effort
If I ever make a game with a battle pass system, I would make it to where the first style could be bought and will have possible circulation in the item shop later but the rest of the bonus styles have to be earned in the season.
I don't understand why people care about "rare" skins. They're Fortnite skins 💀. A virtual game. It really doesn't matter. Missing out on Spider-Man, Super-Man, Darth Vader, or any other favorite superhero or Icon would absolutely suck.
Ain't gonna like, one of the biggest F*ck ups I ever had in my whole life was ignoring Fortnite during the golden age. I sat on my butt during all of Chapter 1 whilst everyone around me was grinding the (now considered OG) skins. Dumb f*ck me started to play in Chapter 2 Season 2 (hey at least I got Midas). There gotta be a way to release old BP skins to the new players whilst satisfying OG players, there has to be. I'm so sad I missed Cameo vs Chic from Ch2 S1, she was mommy material
edit: one of the best ways I've heard to combat this is to allow players to buy Battle Passes ONLY from the seasons they've played. So if they never played Chapter 1, then they can't redeem any battle pass from that Chapter. But if they played a season in lets say Chapter 2, then they can buy that battle pass because they played that season. this is so far the best option i've seen go around

I don't mind battle passes skins coming back but it should be only the baseskin and backbling (maybe also pickaxe). You gotta respect those who bought battlepass before especially those who have gotten superstyles. Its good balancing of still letting people getting their money's worth but also future proofing for newer players.

They do tend to release other versions of characters in the shop such as the tom holland spiderman so i think since most marvel skins are based on the comics in the bps they can release the versions from the movies in the shop

Epic can make different variations of the skins to put in item shops. It’s not fair that people can grind for them and have a skin that might get rare and it just comes back
I mean for the collabs (mainly marvel) we already got alot of variations for the bp skins in the item shop so i don't get the people wanting old battle passes to come back
Epic Games have already introduced mini passes for the music festival and other mini collabs and then they also sell their contents in the item store. I am an og of the chapter one and honestly, I will only be glad if some of the old passes cosmetics appear in the shop or, even better, can be bought missed passes or complete what you didn’t have time to do in the old ones (as far as I heard, they are going to introduce the old map as a separate mode in the future , so why not make it possible to go through the old passes on it?)
They could maybe add those cosmetics to the shop for full price after reaching battle pass level 100 of the current season.
In the past if you got the battle pass, you still got everything for just 10 bucks.
I don’t have every battlepass but i do have quite a few, i would love to see old one come back for players like me or new ones. But epic would have to do something huge because people will be upset
i mean i would be fine if we got an extra style but epic couldnt do this anyways because of the promise that old battlepasses made ( that being that battlepass items would never come back)
As someone who has been playing since late season 3 chapter 1, these Fortnite skins aren’t valuable like that so what you were there when it came out there’s no reason to gate keep. What I will say is you should get some type of variant for being there because in a way it is disrespectful to those who are there, the issue is not everyone who played then is playing now so now the question is why hold old stuff when yet old players aren’t there. If you had to earn battle pass skins epic should re release said challenged to make new people do that, so nothing really changed other than the time the challenge was done
I just don't understand why they are leaving so much money on the table, especially with all the new players that came in december with the new game modes
The reward for those who grinded the battle pass is having been able to use the skins and emotes for years AND getting them almost for free
If they put old battle pass skins for twice the price of a regular shop skin no one with more than two braincells would complain and Epic would make bank
Im a fairly new player of Fortnite so I’ve missed out on a lot of previous BP skins that I would love to have. I personally believe in a new future season it should be something like a “custom season” it could be like a regular BP with that seasons skins upfront but towards the end of the BP there would be like 1-5 . or however many, empty slots and you would be allowed to select skins from previous seasons to insert into said BP, that way if your kinda like me and want more than 10 old skins it’s makes you narrow it down to the ones you truly want giving you an opportunity to earn them just as the OGs had to earn them not just purchase them from the item shop then technically epic is not giving anyone a “false promise” of them being exclusive to Bps, OGs shouldn’t be upset considering the new players had to earn them as well and the new players for whom Fortnite tried to recruit anyways with the zero build mode a few seasons back will have the opportunity to claim skins they once thought they would never own
No matter what they do there's going to be a crowd that doesn't like it. Personally, I stopped playing after chapter 2 season 1 and only picked up playing again during OG, and have lots of skins I wish I had gotten, so if it means trading the exclusivity of my "OG" skins, I'm all for it.
Overall, I feel like there is no perfect solution. I could see reasons for why any solutions I can think of could not be perfect. Like not putting them in mean that everyone can get them later, but also makes them feel not as special. Putting them in the battle pass and then later putting them in the item shop both makes the battle pass not seem as cool and the skins not as special. Then, if you only put them in the battle pass, people can't get them later.
Tbh idc abt any the bp skins except Midas and Deadpool but bp skins should return because ppl missed them by being in the hospital or something like that

@Raijin-uf3nt oh I know that but it's still their problem they didn't play and obtain the skins. Collabs sure never wanted it in the BP, but skins that took a lot of hardwork that now with xp would be easy nah. Also they probably didn't play till they heard a skin they liked was in the game
Slightly different variants could possibly fix this issue. Kinda like how there’s the “Reaper” skin from season 3, and also John wick as a buyable skin. Maybe they could sell different Spider-Man variants like toby Maguire, Tom Holland, Etc.
But its not the same. I want that perfect spiderman with symbiote style they made

As someone who has all the collab skins from each season, I support bringing back skins for them to be in the shop. Like come on everyone deserves a chance to get Darth Vader, Superman, Rick Sanchez, & SPIDER-MAN! These characters are too iconic to be exclusive in a video game
I seem to notice that everyone who is disagreeing with this happen to only be people that do already have these cosmetics

i'd be fine if it was just the ones you bought during their respective season, but didn't have the time to complete

As someone else said, Halo infinite did it very well where you can complete old passes
think they should bring them back, some people like myself wasnt playing then, for various reasons. Im sad missed out on Deadpool and Spidergwen. I mean just because they bring them back means nothing to those who got it via the pass, cause rest of us would have to pay and likely pay more then those who got it via the pass.
I feel like people should be able to buy old battle pass skins, but in a way that they still have to do quests for them. There should be special quests each season that is the same or similar to what the old quests were due to the chapter situationally. For example, obviously, lightsabers aren't in every season, but I feel like if the quest had an equivalent for a lightsaber quest (like using a melee weapon), that would be fair.
As a Marvel and Predator fan they need to bring these back people use them a trophys they probably don't know the characters are people who know the characters and can't obtain them is really annoying I know so many people who would get into Fortnite if they could get Predator and carnage and so many collaborations and as someone who only likes the collaboration stuff I hope we get this stuff back great video dude.
If they’re bringing back collab skins, they should just bring back entire battle passes. Because I know for a fact that I hated not getting the Ageless or that Summer Meowscles, way more than missing out on Spider - Gwen and some other collabs. Also, just bring back Travis Scott as well, because he’s a collab skin that hasn’t been seen in nearly 4 years. And if you can’t afford the battle pass, what’s to say you could buy these skins in the item shop either? If anything, they’d probably be more expensive because they were initially battle pass exclusives

i started playing fortnite for the very first time in ch3 s1 but quickly lost traction around new year 2022. i didnt buy the battlepass or get high enough level but i just really want spiderman and haven bc i have a few of the free rewards and it saddens me that i cant use haven. i use havens lobby music for most presets, and spiderman is just fucking awesome
There’s one battle pass I would’ve liked to get and it’s the one with Raven and Lara Croft. It’s really painful I can’t obtain either, when there are plenty of skins in my locker I’d be happy to trade away to someone that actually wants them.
I really like all the marvel skins but because of epic and apple lawsuit, couldn't obtain them so if they rereleased without the super style variants that would be so cool to have
So I have an idea on this and maybe it's a dumb one but let me know. But what if you could trade certain battlepass skins that you did earn from current battlepasses that you bought and completed for skins that you didn't earn in other battle passes so whatever one you trade can not be obtained again after you give it up. So, you could still make the ones you decide to give up still pretty rare for the people who wish to just keep them but then you could buy a new battelpass earn all the rewards but there might be a skin you don't care for then you can trade that one for an old battlepass skin that you do like and never get back the one you decided to trade in.
there is NO perfect solution to this. If they bring the skins back the ogs get mad, if they don’t the newbies get mad.
