    I'm a top level aggressive B racer and when I had the choice have chosen the Wide Ratio bikes (I started on Yamaha ITs 175/200) in the south east. The FX is designed for Moto/GNCC type racing the WR is designed for Enduro/HS racing, There both Race bikes and in tight rougher conditions the WR is going to B the faster bike as in more open smother conditions the FX will be faster.

      @@dirtbiketv1 the 250 FX has the same stator as the WR so theres plenty of power available. I believe the bike makes 140 watts total and only uses 40w for running, so theres 100w left for lights. I just had to wire a switch straight to the battery. There's no light harness already there in the FX

    • @adaycj
      @adaycj Před 4 lety

      Same here. Some counties in MI allow limited roadway use. You need lights. I used cheap parts because stuff gets wrecked in the woods. Works great. A nice LED "H4" and 4 LED tail only pull 15 watts. I even use them on the trail on busy days ... Because two way traffic.

      @@barneychamorro I used the baja designs universal light harness. Don't use it. It's nicely made but it "universally" doesn't work on squat. Make your own harness with an on/off switch and a fuse and ring terminals straight to the battery.

      I have the 15 wr250f with the competition ecu and yz exhaust, it is just as powerful as the fx in this trim.. The mapping on the 250 is mostly a gimmick, it's only a 250f so a 5% change is barely noticeable. Changing the 450 power 5% would be more noticeable, but the 450 already has more than enough power with the standard settings.
