- When Sheldon gets sick, Leonard, along with Howard and Raj, quickly escapes from his grasp, leaving Penny to take care of the very needy Sheldon. The three go back to the apartment in an attempt to retrieve Leonard's spare glasses, which are in his bedroom. Howard and Raj use a Bluetooth camera mounted on Leonard's head to help blind Leonard navigate, as well as a detector to let them know if/when Sheldon appears. Leonard is caught by Penny.

The funny thing, is, if he signed in those grant checks that were in his drawer, overlooking his prided or receiving them, sheldon could just buy himself a helper to take care of him
Yeah, but as stated in The Excelsior Acquisition, Sheldon didn't trust banks. He never cared about money at all.

I watched TBBT first season so many times, Penny is fun, nice and friendly towards the group, and this is actually the moment when Penny stops being nice most of the time and starts being annoyed with their antics. I noticed how her expression changed in first season episodes, she smiled a lot in early episodes. I miss that Penny.
Yeah, I can understand why she'd be less than thrilled with them as all the guy are kinda sexist jerks and a-holes and all treat her pretty badly at certain points and insult her and/or leave her out of things or to deal with things rather than apologising when they mess things up for her, I'm surprised she's so loyal, understanding and patient with them throughout the show.

Penny does do so much for them though (putting up with and being so kind to Sheldon, defending them when the WoW stuff gets taken, getting Leonard the batmobile and saying he means more to her than her acting dreams even though she ends up in a job she doesn't like, dealing with spiders for them, being the only one to go to Raj's event even where he disrespects her, apologising to Howard when he repeatedly sexually harassed her). Also, even when they 'do things' for her, it's not to be genuinely nice as Sheldon constantly makes her feel bad about it and the others just want to sleep with her and try to make her feel that she owes them and say that she 'takes advantage' of them by being 'too pretty' when they're not shaming or insulting her.
Why she has to be alway happy with them? Be real

Could just be very far sighted. I have met people very far sighted, without glasses they bump into everything.
Not sure on the lenses exactly, but I will agree and say he's probably very far-sighted. I know I'm blind as a bat--almost to Leonard levels--without my glasses unless whatever I'm looking at is practically in my cornea.
I’m extremely short sighted, so without my glasses everything is a blur unless it’s on my face. For extremely long sighted people they tend to need the stuff far away to read it. Leonard needed everything up close, so must be extremely short sighted. Not enough to be classed as blind, but with worse eyesight than some people who are classed as blind. To him even the biggest letter on the opticians board is blurry.
The truth is the glasses has no lenses.

lyndaek99, no it is not. There is no severity that inhibits the ability to tell between a dark object Leonard ran against and illuminated free space. A scene of someone running against a pillar is probably funny to children in a Tom and Jerry cartoon but not in a sitcom like tbbt.

I was rooting for Leonard in this one.
I know it would have removed a whole load of plot but why wouldn't he have just bought some cheap glasses from a pharmacy far quicker and easier than getting this high tech gear and going back to his place, also would have missed far less of their film even if this had gone smoothly.
Ive said it on another post but Ill say it here The writers should bring in Griffin from MIB III as a recurring character. Sheldons head would explode repeatedly.

There was no laugh track there is actually a real audience in the studio in Warner Brothers, Sometimes the laughs are pre recorded because the actors or actresses makes mistakes so they got to pre record. And also watch the behind the scenes so you could see there is actually a real audience watching.
