Rajesh is an astrophysicist, a field that has been very productive lately due to improving telescope technology. Leonard could become a full-time physics teacher at a college somewhere. Sheldon is the only one who is trapped in a shrinking profession.

The Show was always great. Being a 279 epi show...makes it difficult to maintain the same quality in every episode.But the later seaons..had good story progression and character developments.along with comedy. The show wouldn't have been such a superhit and longest. running comedy..if it would have remained creepy like in the initial seasons.
You know penny does have her moments of actually saying stuff that happens to be right some time or another so even though she is not the most brainy one of the group she does give good advice at times from Marcus in australia.

How I Met Your Mother had a bad finale and maybe a bad last season. Lost was worse, it got pointless after about half it's seasons and you were constantly waiting for the big reveal giving everything sense and connecting all the lose ends, just to realize that there isn't.

While the show got weaker over the years, there were still some amazing scenes - this was one of them. Especially love the flair...I would bad every guy has atleast one memory about drinking with his buddies, just being sad, depressed and overly-dramatic.
I don't think there were any "weak" seasons so to speak. The entire series progressed. I mean, 12 seasons. Hardly any show can truly do 12 seasons and continually have solid seasons. Of course there were some episodes which were not always the most enjoyable, however, I don't think there were any real weak seasons where you would skip them.

Why does it sound boring to some people? It doesn't have that many sexual jokes like other episodes had, so what?! ... I admire them talking about science!
What made the show unique and funny in the first 2 or so seasons was that it didn't need or rely on sexual jokes to be funny, the writing was so good that it could be funny with the guys just being their nerdy science/tech-y/gaming selves. So it's not about lack of sexual jokes that people are complaining about. It's about lack of funny jokes in general, and that magical "spark" it once had at the beginning that was lost years before it finally ended. Plus I think people find the whole whiny, mopey, big baby behavior of the guys in this episodes really off putting. Even though that's the point, when you couple it with bad writing/lack of funny jokes then the whole thing just falls flat.
