- I use Procreate on my iPad Pro to design my video thumbnails, and here's a walk-through tutorial of how I do it!
🚀 CharliMarieTV is powered by Figma! charli.link/figma
Figma is a design tool that helps teams create, test, and ship better designs from start to finish. And it's free! :)

I think you read my mind creating this video. You personally are the person I would have most wanted to make this tutorial. Thank you for being so generous in sharing, it really makes a difference!
I know your focus isn’t on showing off your CZcams specific skills, but I would love to see more about how you edit your videos, specifically how you film yourself and your screen, and then combine the two.
Again, thanks so much Charlie for all you do!
hi charlie, thank you for putting Turkish subtitles on the video and I would like to say that I like your video as well.😍😚😏🤗
Love this video to intro to thumbnail making and also procreate as well!! Thank you for sharing ;)
Never thought about using procreate for thumbnails. Thanks for the video
Worthy to mention that size of canvas to be used as YT thumbnail is: 1280 px x 720px and it should be in JPG to be uploaded to YT.
I have been making thumbnails for quite some time, but your process is very very very useful and easy too. I wonder why I never thought of it before. Anyway you have made my life easier. I am happy that I found this video. Thanks a lot. God bless you.
Thanks for this video. I made my latest thumbnail with the help of these techniques. Glad I found this channel.
That helped so much! Thank youuuuu!!!
thank you Charli. I appreciate your beautiful process and the way you explained how you did it..
This is very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you so much !!!
This was sooooo helpful! Thank you
Hi Charlie! Amazing video. I love when you explain cool stuff of your real workflow and make them so easily. Thanks so much! A question: Do you automatize the screenshot taken of your videos, or do them by hand?
Very nice tutoral , i learned so much
Thanks so much for the video. Really effective approach and nice looking thumbnail=D
Thanks a ton😊
Great video, thank you.
Very helpful . Well explained👌. Subscribed your channel 😊
What a great video thanks heaps, great work
"Hey Designers" Hahaa love your intro Charli.
Really helpful video, thank you for sharing all the hacks! Just bought Procreate for my iPad.
I always the best app is the one you can sing & dance on and you sure can do that on Procreate. You make that look way too easy. Well done.
Ok. That's interesting 😍
Very nice, I tried to do this on my iPad but never got it right for my youtube thumbnails, so ended up just using photoshop like and old person...
sometimes I open up photoshop when I want to do some more sophisticated masking, but I love that Procreate let's me make cool-looking thumbnails pretty quickly :)
Great video!
Have you ever tried to do layout design like you would in Figma/Sketch on an iPad? If so, would you recommend it?
what a timing... I just bought an Ipad today. The pencil has not arrived yet
Need more procreate tuts
hey gal how did ou add the animation with the timer clock when you were thinking about something. trying to figure out what software is best
Great Video!!! I have Procreate and glad I can utilize it for so much more then I imagined I literally was trying to use Canvas for this and it was not a good experience. Canvas did help for creating a subscribe and notification sign but every thing else I tried to do was not working out. I'm hoping I have more luck with Procreate.
thank you! i already have a ipad air and i have a pencil so lucky me.
Thank you so much for the video! I found this very helpful. Quick question though, would you mind sharing the download link for Barry brush? Thank you in advance! 🥰
Hi 👋 I love your video❣️Just wanna to ask if you save your file in Dropbox, then will procreate automatically save again your project in the iPad?😃
Which bursh you use for this video?
Hi you are the best
I have had Procreate installed on my iPad for a while, but never really used it much (same goes for Concepts). I will have to give Procreate a try again. Maybe this will give me a more organic experience over Affinity Designer (which I love - both on the Mac and iPad). Thank you for the video!
I think it's all about having a use-case right? Thumbnails and hand lettering are what i use procreate for, and I use Concepts for wireframing. I haven't tried things like Adobe Illustrator on iPad yet because I don't have a use case for it at the moment.
Hey, so im going to be a freshmen in college and having trouble finding my career. I was wondering if you can link me your video on your introduction. Like what type of design job you have or like what type of design job do you do?
Cools.
so how do you export the drawing from your procreate on iPad to your youtube channel from PC? I was really hoping to see that process.
you just click the wrench icon (next to Gallery) and then click 'share' and I just use Airdrop to send it to my imac to upload to youtube :)
Welp, im gonna need to buy an ipad and apple pencil!
which is ipad air, theres more versions. i just use the normal one.
Hey Charlie , Thanks know for this vidéo did you a procreate alternative on windows tablets
Not sure sorry! I'd suggest you search for "drawing app" or something like that where you can have different brushes
@@charlimarieTV Ok Thanks. Very helpful video

LOL I never would've thought you do this "by hand".
DO i See ILABB on you shirt?
yeah!
This is too hard for beginners.
Maybe try a Procreate 101 tutorial somewhere first and then come back to this? :)
Buy a mic. That reverb is horrible to hear
This video actual did use a mic :) but there wasn't enough soft furnishings in the room yet. Hopefully you'll find the sound quality much better in my more recent videos!
