lot my Succulent's they on top shelf so no sunlight get to them throw the windows, just defused light from conservatory roof and they seem to love it since i moved them from direct like and ever since full of big flowers every year, but when i get those units built hopefully this summer i will put them in hanging baskets but need to find hanging basket what has a drip tray. this year got my mum a zig zag plant as extra present, one steam was damaged so ended up with one myself and that on top shelf seem to be happy no direct light but it very bright defused light and they seem to do very well. only one what sits in window is jade plant yep it dose get to much light at times but it done well the last 7 years it huge now even tho it been trimmed back lots but when i build the units its moving to edge shelf on the end far from the window as that goo place for extra light for some my other cacti. still loads to do, grow box in the next week for seedlings, two units to build in summer and lots prep and early start for summer chili and pepper plants but it enjoyable and learned my lesson from last year start them much more early so grow box give then that head start. glad to see your cacti they seem to be doing great, good to see :)
Thats brilliant your Succulents do really well with the defused light from your conservatory, and I bet you are so looking forward to building your grow box ready for the spring, and I have been on the lookout for hanging baskets with drip trays too, as the ones I have now are a bit of a pain when it comes to watering them as the water drips straight out the baskets, some of my hanging baskets I have been able to attach a bottom tray under, but its difficult to do with many of the hanging baskets, thanks so much Steven for your wonderful comments and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a fantastic evening ahead XXXX
funny thing you mention grow box, it built finally, light set up and only thing to do now trip reflective foil stuff and staple it to inside, things i forgot till yesterday a two way extension and cable clips but they be here in a few days and then i can put it to test, only thing to keep eye on is heat so i may need to add couple low watt slow fans but will have to see but hopefully next few days i can start growing ready for spring give them a real good head start this year then i start this years cacti seeds but as they now in lots pots not just three they be more easy to grow as some grow big fast some do not but seen loads cacti seeds for sale i need to buy for this year. quite excited this year and few big changes so hopefully it all plans out, but happy i can start my pepper and chili plants in the next few days, and now a control environment so start of plants and cacti seedlings plant power :) @@desertplantsofavalon

I bought an Opuntia Nicholii x Macrorhiza. I think it is probably 5 or 6 years old. This summer I will try to hybridize it with my Opuntia Cespitosa.

I hope this message finds you well. I have been attempting to contact you through comments on CZcams and via email, but I have encountered some difficulties in doing so. Despite my efforts, my comments and emails seem to disappear after I send them, and I apologize if this has caused any inconvenience or bombardment of comments on your end. Unfortunately, my email account has been hacked, resulting in its immediate deletion. Regrettably, technology and I do not always get along.
I must express my admiration for your videos, as they never fail to bring a smile to my face. On the topic of gardening, I have found great success in combating mealy bugs on my cacti by using rose clear spray. This method not only works wonders in maintaining the health of my plants but also repels other insects due to the pleasant citronella scent it emits. Additionally, I have found that diluted fairy is effective for the roots as well. It is rather unfortunate that my plants are currently plagued by mealy bugs during this time of year, as they desperately require repotting due to the infested soil. Unless addressed promptly, I fear they may not survive until spring. Thankfully, I have taken measures to dry out some soil resembling sand as a temporary solution. This should provide a suitable environment for the plants until the end of February or the beginning of March, at which point I will resume regular watering.
Furthermore, I have a collection of cacti and other plants that I would love to send to you. They have already been carefully packed and the necessary postage has been affixed to the package. If you are interested in receiving these plants and would like to create an unboxing video, kindly reach out to me so that I may share my new email address with you. Once I receive your response, I will provide you with my updated contact information for you to share your home address.
Rest assured, the plants I am sending are securely wrapped to ensure their safety during transit.

Hi Freddy, awwwwww thank you so very much for your very kind offer of sending plants, that is so kind and generous of you, but unfortunately I am not going to be able to accept any more plants at this moment, as I may have to also offload some plants this year due to my circumstances, Hans and I will probably have to downsize in the future and won't have the space we have currently, but thank you so very much for your generosity, Thats fantastic you have had great success with Rose Clear spray against mealy bugs, Mealy bugs are such a pain and Root mealy bugs are the worst as they hide under the soil so we miss them, and its always more difficult to treat root mealy bugs in winter when the roots are dry, so sorry to hear about your comments and emails disappearing, I have noticed this a lot of my You Tube channel with comments that vanish and I can see them in the notifications but when I try to reply to them on the videos the comments are not there, HAPPY NEW YEAR to you Freddy, and thanks so much for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a brilliant Thursday today XXXX
