- Come join me and my special guests Gary Duke & Crazy4cactus as we take the 6.5 hour drive up to Ripon California to visit the legendary Poots Cactus Nursery. We got a tour of their private specimen greenhouse and got to hang with Bill & Brian Poot and father and son duo who with the help of Mrs. Poot and the rest of family have owned and operated the nursery since 1994. Enjoy!

We need to be doing stuff to stop these things from being extinct in the wild, we have no clue how much we have lost
I couldn’t agree more. I am trying to do my part by growing them from seed.
@@CactusQuest and your videos putting out the good word, you’ve got a big voice🙏🏻
@@Drawson663 thanks Philip! I’ll keep going w it.
That euphorbia obesa is simply stunning! The whole flippin nursery is😁❤️👌
I would be terrified to repot that thing haha.
I had the pleasure of visiting Poots cactus nursery in August 2021. I drove 5 and a half hours to get there. Hands down the most immaculate cactus garden I’ve seen to date. Brian gave my gf and I a crazy good deal on two blue crested Myrtillo cactus that weren’t even on the sale table. Such generous and wholesome people. Can’t wait to visit again.
So amazing, so beautiful ❤❤❤
It always amazes me when I go to family owned nurseries that they by far have the best plants. Like hidden gems, hidden in plan sight.
Your vids are so great dude, so well made. I can't grow cacti in my geological location so I get to live vicariously through these. Thanks ou for making these and sharing your passion with us.
It was an honor hanging with you and The Duke! The video is fantastic! 💙 The Quest Continues.....

He has a spectacular collection!!! Very awesome!!! I don't get to see stuff like this here. Just went to my first cactus & succulent nursery since I moved here in 1985 (37years) Drummonds cactus& succulent nursery in Desoto Missouri! It was awesome!! Bought 8 plants! Cactus & Euphorbias!!! Wish I could go to Poots !! Looks like a great place with lots of variety!! Thanks for the tour!!! From Morris park in the Ozarks, out to So.california, ( my old home) Peace,Love,Plants!!!✌💖🌵🌺🌴🌸🌲🌷🌳💐🌿🌻🌹
Right on man! Damn growing cacti in the ozarks! That’s cool man. If you ever get a chance to get out that way I highly recommend it. Thanks for checking out the video Morris. Peace!!!🌺
Awesome video! Keep em coming
This was awesome. Man, cacti motivate me in such a strange way. I have kids and I wanna live long enough to see them grow and achieve. I feel the same way about my cacti. And it will only grow
Incrível essa Euphorbia Obesa! Ótimo vídeo parabéns!! 💚

Troppo bello.... Complimenti per il lavoro che hai fatto.... Bravo
I need to go to your nursery. Cacti have always been in my life. I love Trichocereus Grandiflorus species because of their beauty flowers and their hardiness. I hope you guys have them. I think I saw some in a few review photos. I have several but it’s never enough
Amazing!!!
Wow, so awesome😍
Nice video. Keep it going ,nobody has this quality content.
Nice cactus and thank you for sharing
This is so funny I'm 20 and I've been growing veggies scince I was 11. I just started cacti/succulents and I still grow veggies here and then. I have about 3 cacti and a baby aloe. Cant wait to expand
I never Had seen an astrophytum so big. I'm from brasil, and I love cactus
I am from Chile, I travel a lot to the north of my country and I drive thousands of kilometers. Recently I stopped to observe the "fields" of the different COPIAPOAS that there are
Man i wanna hang out with yall one day! It’d be 4 generations of growers in one car😂🤟
Impressionante!
Those crests are massive!!!
OMG.. i wanted to see what Gary had to say about the huge micranthocereus @08:56 :( one of my favorite.

God dam that was friken Awesome I just got into cactus I bought some teddy bear paws there so cute. I hope they get big I hope I can
Keep it alive
Beautiful
You should visit Obesa cactus nursery in south africa. It's probably one of the biggest cactus nurseries in the world with over 2 Million plants and 35 thousands different species.
New subby
I saw that moss in the desert in peru at like 12k feet it blew my mind, it was huge
Beatiful
Nice job 👍
Look the possibilities are endless but since we don't have the resources available may be
Very nice❤️
amazing. cactus heavan
I have been going to Poots for about 5 years
Nice video, wonderful collection... 4:50 Ferobergia term for this hybrid is incorrect, joined names are only used for chimeras but for hybrids we use X (cross) between both names...Would be great if you visit Carl Dreibelbis green houses...what a joy would that be....
I cried a little too
Muito lindo
It's my first time to watch your video and I am not sure if you've been to San Diego Safari Zoo? They've got lots and lots of giant and small cacti grown in their garden, and fell in love with all of them!
I haven’t been to that zoo in quite sometime but that is a fun idea for a video I may have to knock ur out at some point. Thank you!
SO SICK
Thank you brotha
💚
Very good, strong collection and good video. How can I buy plants? Thank you.
yo bill is the man
single spine is literally so hard to find. even seeds mind you still on the look out for them :(
Great video and loved the tour. This music was cracking me up. It sounds like some kind of weird porn music.
hey bro, what percent shade cloth do you reckon he is using?
I was about to subscribe till the "slutty comment". Come on man, show some respect to this guy. He's invited you to his personal collection. He comes from a generation that doesn't talk that way, at least not in public.
Lighten up.
How long does it take to get them that big?
😮😮😮
Luckily this nursery is about a half hour from my home. I go there often.
Thats rad. I want to pay them another visit myself
🦋👍🦋
Name of nursery is an instant sell
🤣
Whats is going on with that long blue cactus at the end of this video ????
What’s the name of the cactus which is his favourite one the purple colour in the white pot? The one which is you have 7 or 8 pots,
I went through the comments just to find it
No luck
Uebelmannia pectinifera
Nice work and I can see that you guys know what you're talking about.
However, a great collection is useless if the most important species is not grown - its successor.
I need help identifying a really rare cactus please help
