You forgot the John player who always comes back to the game just to finish off old business
Good one
Lol you had me cough out some old smoke!
@@RedOtter100 that is what too many cigarette cards will do
@@Baconman212 yup meow meows of the desert got me this time!
Wdym?
It’s so true and funny how the rdr2 fans hate Micah while 50/50 of them are Micah online.
Rockstar fanbase is all Micah Bell.
The rest who were good left long ago.
i’m hosea, trelawny and arthur. i know i’m delusional 😭
i started as jack, became dutch, was micah for a little bit because i had all these great weapons and ammo that i dutched for. then became josiah until i discovered the beauty of being hosea and now i really want to be arthur.
@@jal-kx6tm you had a full on character arc
i was jack then i became hosea abigail (only for money and only helped other people cus grinding is super boring) then i became hosea trelawney
Hosea Trelwany Arthur gang!!!
Charles Smith, players thats just out here to survive,a bow and a shot gun,go hunting, help people, make a few dollars and just enjoy
Like I told RTVLD, that's a playstyle, not a motivation. I'd say you're a Hosea as well. Some of us just love the world, and just like to live in it now and then.
Hosea and Arthur. Straight up. It's just too good to give up on.
I like people who play RDO to support Rockstar. Indie companies like Rockstar need all the support they can possibly receive.
I personally hold a grudge against Rockstar. They don't seem to care about their games anymore. They cut corners, ban people who glitch for money and not greifers or people who mod and ruin the game experience. They are hyper focused on pinching whatever penny they can get their hands on, not the game itself. That's why they held onto gta 5 for so long, and they'd rather focus on that over rdr2. Because it earns more money, even though the only reason it earns so much more is because they didn't give Red Dead any attention. Even in the end, rockstar is still squeezing the hell out of both Red Dead and Gta to get more money. (Next-gen gta, constant sales and opportunities on Red Dead like getting special edition items for free if you are a new player during a specific month)
"Indie" company
@@PrimaryTuba9222I’m the same tbh. Like idc about gta6 but because only care about making that game from scraps than actual working on their current game not even moving tiny things from the storyline to online, makes me despise gta6. They could literally have 2 current cash cows at the same time if they just add new content to red dead online but they just choose to destroy it sometimes I feel like it’s personal too. So I will never get gta6 I hope it flops miserably. They canceled bully twice, butchered the trilogy, expose our ip addresses, greedy asf and etc
Why is Rockstar a indie company, take-two owns it.
Nobody realizes iz a joke
I’m an Arthur player sadly. I’ve still got that hope.
Me I’m the uncle type of player, to lazy to do anything to improve my financial situation in the game and just parasitizing in the whatever near saloon getting drunk 😅
You are they type of guy who goes around killing ai so you can loot their bodies to get enough money to buy another whiskey. 😂
You're the guy who shows up at the last kill of an encounter and loots all the bodies before me hahaha
@@PrimaryTuba9222 🤣🤣🤣
might aswell tell us you have lumbago at this point.
@@SamuraiNoob1 It's a slow and painful death, my brother.
I'm very much a Hosea, but still with a touch of Jack. I take a break when it gets a little stale, but sometimes I log on just to go hunting and enjoy the scenery.
Bro same. Except i just do bounty missions. Mostly because im always alone.
I like how chill players most player are.
I remember being super high and getting my first invite to the moonshine pub, couldnt stop smiling.
Also made sure to do not play online much before I discovered the whole map in Singleplayer, way more immersive.
If you're on PC, I'd love to play with you... for reasons ❤😂
Hosea's profile is probably closest to my playing, but I had hopes for a player type of Charles:
An experienced lone wolf, solo player, helping others, only pvp'ing to defend himself, prefers to be in the rural parts of the map-away from the cities. Gathers his income from hunting and gathering more than robbing and killing.
That would fit me 100% :)
Ooo that sounds a lot like me too! Man, what a great character he was
That fits me as well!
Yep, I'm basically a Charles.
Yea that's me as well.
Oh my word! This is me too! I was trying to fit myself into one of the other categories, but nothing really fit until I read your description of the Charles type! This is me!
Just the other day while hunting in New Austin (cause no one really goes there) I saw a player struggling with some Revenue Agents on a Moonshine delivery. I rode into the fight, took the heat of them so they could heal and rode shotgun all the way to their destination popping off Revenue Agents on the way. I could tell they were nervous at my presence (who isn't seeing another player while on a delivery) but we reached the end safely. Gave them a wave and was on my merry way. Then we were promptly both killed by a griefing hacker (an Abigail). What a jerk.
I'm the player who has nearly 2 million dollars and around 6k in gold. My only goal now is to get to rank 1000, currently 960 so I grind for xp.
“I Ain’t Got Too Much To Say No More”
Dang! You wipe your "B" with capitale.
I got to 1.5 million dollars and 4800+in gold 2 yrs ago and rank 782 an ive played total of about 3 hrs since april of 22..I have 9,061 hrs in red dead and ive done like 2 bountys and the rest earned by running shine, and running wagons,I hate collecting and Harriet sucks as well..my goal when I started rdo was to get a million, everything in the catalog and rank 1k..ive done the million and ive almost got everything except some bounty items and I quit on the rank..After all the time I had in rdo I just got burnt out..I played since beta and had a over 500 day daily streak..
thats some good grinding and I know about grinding..lol
Hosea
I play once every few months just to ride around and think about the good days of RDO.
But also John,
Online was the Dutch Gang equivalent to us players and i feel like John riding around just remembering old times and fights
This video made me log back in. Haven't played since November back in 2022. Is nice to be back in my tavern, playing the banjo. Good times.
I guess I’m a combo of Dutch and Hosea. Rank 1000 with plenty of gold and money but still love to grind for awards. That said, I also love to just ride around the map and get immersed. I also have a little bit of Arthur in me cause, delusional or not, I still believe they haven’t completely abandoned it and will continue to play forever. Great video!
Great video cat, as always... I find myself in all of the types, except the newbies, unfortunately...
😂 Great video Cat. Must have taken some thinking to match the characters!
Clever how you correlated character with player type. Hosea here, still embarrassed about running away from that bear. Maybe some Dutch, too.
Respect man...As a player who quit playing RDR online this video bought happy old memories. I can only hope one day Rockstar will make an update worth coming back to.
There are people like Karen, hanging out at the moonshine shack with their friends, just chatting and drinking moonshine till drunk, while drunk in real life at the same time.
I'm a Charles, with a bit of Hosea. Only log on a few times a month, enjoying the scenery, helping out other players with story missions, bounties, etc., patrolling for griefers, and sometimes just maximizing my bounty to add a little spice to it 😆
How are you not bored of this game yet? You've been playing since the beginning, it's crazy how you still manage to make content!
Hey! how's it going Cat? I think I'm definitely a Hosea/Arthur type of player. I love just chilling with my friend in my moonshine shack and just generally riding around doing bounties. I still have hope for the game though, even if the chance is really small, I still hope Rockstar will return to fulfill this games enormous potential.
I'm with you Cat, as hopeless as it is😩 I'm still hoping rockstar will add new content. I also love just riding around in the game, it's so beautiful. So I will keep playing. Thank you for continuing these videos. I know it must be difficult to keep them going for a dead game, but we, or at least I, appreciate you!
Living in the city I find it relaxing to just ride around, grinding, but also want to complete a CTA solo. Moving onto RDR2 story soon. Only did the first 20 minutes a year ago. 3 super high rank griefers killed my horse and me with explosives yesterday, while on a resupply run, and DAMN was I mad! Just changed lobbies. Sent a message but careful with language since got bans in the past. If had my mic on I would've vented!! 🤬
There's nothing you can or should say to people like that. They aren't worth the time/energy and would likely just get a rise out of whatever angry message you sent them. Best just to move on.
And you should absolutely play through story mode, it's an absolute masterpiece. It's like playing the main character in a perfect movie or TV series. You also don't have to constantly be looking over your shoulder (or keeping one eye on your radar) for griefers.
I couldn't wait for Arthur to die and the story was super boring. The end prologue where you build the house was also pointless. Half the map was unexploreable and had 0 content. Sure another fetch quest here and talk to this person there and basically just a lot of pointless running around. Red Dead online however has unlimited untapped potential and sadly has been left for the dead.
Lot of people play using the SOLO mode in Online.... it's a config option.
@@jackknife4547 you weird
You forgot the horse fanatics :) Kierans? 🤣
But all horses are the same on practice - so it's basically customization :)
I definitely have a problem of constantly buying new horses. I've probably had every horse in the game 😂
@@PVPCat Horse Trelawnies. I definitely buy new horses because I like their looks. I like customizing their tails and manes and picking the perfect saddles to fit them with 😂
I am a Jack Marston raised by an Arthur Morgan. I am fairly new to the game and I am already hoping for more stuff to be added.
Hosea. Love fishing and harvesting herbs... and a little bit of Josiah Trelawny
No likes, no more beans discounts
I fall into the new player. 8 months playing game mode, then last month i seen the really good monthly update. Went from lvl 1 to 97 in 30 day's. Love your content on RdR @pvpcat
i just got back into it. been grinding out the bounty hunter role. got from lvl 3 to lvl 16 in 2 days without double xp. just setting timers on my phone and watching netflix for the etta doyle mission
this is a great video
I seem to be a mix of like 4 of them, Dutch, Hosea, Josiah (besides the posting part, i just enjoy making outfits), and also Arthur.
I'm definitely a Hosea, I've personally stopped worrying about unlocks and completion. I found that I enjoy the world, creating my own fun and head canon in RDO, I've been playing since early 2019 and still find i play it regularly to immerse myself into my own role.
If you'd like to know, my character is a blind bounty hunter & gun for hire, which always creates fun and interesting shenanigans
Out of curiousity, I traveled the entire length of a channel in a fishing boat that I loaded up with catfish, down to the Lannahechee River to trade them. Even passed by other players that decided to join me for the ride down and it was really satisfying.
Combo of mostly Hosea with a sprinkle of Uncle. I absolutely love going on trail rides just for the atmosphere, fishing and just chilling out but once in a while I will tear it up getting totally blitzed and reminisce the good ol' days with some Remember When stories by the fire.
I think I'm mostly a Hosea like player. Just vibin', doing a few missions here and there + the addition of buying new horses even tho my stable is already full.
Completely restarted the story and go back and forth on it and online
I want all the Outlaw basses back😅
tbh I bought all the outlaw passes and only finished one...barely. If we had a option or chance to actually acquire the stuff we payed for back then would even be okay with me.
I am a mix of Hosea, Josiah and Arthur. And I don't have a Halloween pass since I've been playing recently.
I really like the Wild West setting and I like to poke around in the wardrobe to look cool) well, I hope RS will make content for the game again (I want my own house and a small plantation)
I miss playing this game... Might reinstall it and check up on my dude
Do it
I'm some Arthur Morgan - Trelawny type guy...
But the thing I do the most is just being on Valentine waiting for some action, a duel, a shooting... and waiting for the game to have an update :(
I definitely see myself as a Hosea/Immersion-like Player. Starting the game from time to time to play a mission or two and just enjoy the environment or go fishing, which I still enjoy since the game released.
Loved this video 🫡👊🏿 I'm definitely an immersion player at this stage 😂❤. I used to be a grinder back when we still had hope for properties but i stopped grinding after the Blood Money update.
I play for the Daly challenge streaks. I have 2 characters. I keep them 2 weeks apart so I can maximize the spread. If I don't have time , I make sure to do 1 each day at least. The highest characters get priority. 1 level is 634. 1 is 324.
Thinking I might just stop for the summer.
Thanks Cat.
Im still hoping that r* will do the right thing and add some new dlc.
I... guess I fit into 3 categories, though only one of them is more true than the other two. See, I play every morning with my husband to do dailies. Even if it is just 1 daily (depends on what has been going on that day), so just for the Daily grind I fall into the first category. Though not so much as to save all the money for properties in the future, but rather because the dailies give me a direction. Next is the Trelawny category, because yes I have almost all clothing items and will attempt to get all of the limited stock items that I can, but mostly to have outfits that fit to the horse that I am riding (mostly native-style outfits). But I do still thoroughly enjoy the world, and do quite a bit of hunting and fishing, so there is where the Hosea shines through the most.
I got back on recently, I was the biggest PvP player ever but I also loved to grind.. unfortunately now that’s all there’s left to do is grind because it seems all the big players such as myself, or like you just don’t play anymore. Made me quite sad to see that, not only because I miss battles, making friends from battles, but the game is barren because most of the big player base is gone. So sad to have been playing since Beta and seeing this game being left in the dust to die.
I am a combination of the immersion and the fashion. I think there was one more that you missed though. I would call it the "babysitter", most similar to Charles Smith. It's a very high level player who invites low level players to their posse to lead them through moonshine and trader deliveries as well as other high rank activities not available to low levels. They do it because they enjoy helping new players earn some money/gold and to also let them experience the more fun content in the game, in the hope they will keep the player base active. It is important when doing this not to just dominate the enemy, always act more like their bodyguard and let them enjoy the content even if it's sometimes hard to watch them do things less than 100% efficiently.
Bro i'm playing the old Red Dead Redemption game on Nintendo Switch and it's a blast.
I found myself identifying with Hosea and Arthur. Completely ignored the last double payout month, and just messed around with old missions that I enjoyed. I keep my eye on your channel for potential updates, and to see if the game gets something new. So much wasted potential.
Hosea described me almost perfectly but I do believe there will be more updates
I'm a mix of Hosea for enjoying the world and spend a lot of time just walking in Heartlands, Trelawney for spending even more time chosing the perfectly right outfit with a matching horse, and, probably the Pinkerton because I never shoot first, but any red dot player who shoots me for no reason gets a colossal dose of Hell until he ragequits the session. I love to teach noobs some important lessons
Hosea is definitely spot on for me!
I’m new to red dead online but I’m here for the extra red dead content because I already beat the game story like 5 times
I suppose but your definitions, I'm mostly Hosea with a bit of Trelawny thrown in. But to combine the two and add in a love of shootouts working with other players, I would say I'm most like Javier (a bit vain, enjoys fishing/immersion, dreamer, will go down with the RDO ship because what else is there?). 😂
I honestly get on RDO every night at 2am just to do a daily challenge or two in order to keep my streak. Occasionally, however, I'll stay on for a bit longer just to do tasks like Moonshine or Trader.
Every year, my friends and I go back into Red Dead for like a week
I’m more like Lenny specifically when the “a quiet time mission” he was just hanging out with Arthur goofing around, I play with a friend most of the time in red dead just to goof around and do bounty hunting missions or other missions we just have fun until we want to play another game
Cat I have never heard anyone discuss how often to clean weapons, what’s your thoughts?
I clean mine all the time, can you let them go to a certain point before it affects performance?
As always thank you, I have been watching you for years, with your help I’m level 165 now and feel confident that I’m not just gonna get smacked while playing, so thanks again.
I clean them only b4 PVP or some challenging missions (CTA, 5 star legendary)
@@PVPCat thank you from Texas pard.
I love the game. I enjoy the scenery. I love silent and sneaky style missions. I like when I get paid well for my efforts that’s why double money and XP months are great. I also buy everything that looks good in the catalog and I just love to be in ps party with my friend/s. Even at level 860 I still ride and collect stuff in a slow and steady way. Try to help new players since for them money and gold is more difficult to earn. Cat thank you for all your videos
The recent XP bonuses have gotten my hope up for something. I'm hoping for a time skip, so we have the same map as in the epilogue. That would open the world up in a perfect way to add slow moving cars that are barley slower than a horse but allow us the player to get around with 3 other friends
I'm probably Hosea and trelawny, I haven't even finished the online story mode or even unlocked everything I'm still level 27 haha.
But I love playing online because.
1. Create your own character.
2. The open world is beautiful and I appreciate the effort rockstar put into it.
3. The weapons and clothings.
4. The horses.
5. The gameplay and mechanics.
6. The hunting and fishing
I find myself enjoying the sceneries alot.
I’m number 4, I don’t have everything but I’ve been playing since release so I’ve done and seen everything there is to offer, i just hop on to have some fun with my buddy and immerse myself in the world
And the Michas are ALWAYS apart of some type of Crew who forgets they're insignificant and will be forgotten along with this game
Im new to the game on level 32 and grinding moonshiner role and bounty hunter and i love it 😂
I'm definitely type 4. I occasional come back to RDO for a month or so just to have some fun. Recently I started replying story again.
never stop making videos
I'm definitely a Hosea. Even counting Baconman's 8th archetype, John.
I'm easily Dutch and Trelawny. I see RDRO as like the old fashioned version of GTAO, as I used to grind on there and create outfits. From 2019 to 2022 I was pretty consistent with playing both, but I started to get tired of the repetitive nature of GTAO after almost a decade actively playing it. RDRO is still fresher to me and has better graphics, with overall much calmer lobbies as I don't like doing combat with others very much (being a lone female character I feel like I get extra targeted too). So I usually stick to Collecting and Trading alone in public lobbies, while occasionally joining random posse's to help out others. I'm almost always broke because I love creating outfits, which pushes the cycle of grinding lol. A few times I've latched onto another like-minded player, but they'd always fall through after a while and stop playing.
I was the Arthur Morgan type of player for the longest time.. And even when most of my faith in Rockstar had already died down, I still held onto some hope that things might change some day. But that time is long gone now.. These days I'm more a Hosea.
When I came across trelawny in online I forgot he was in story mode too.
I also rediscovered Alden in story mode looking a bit older. Not sure if Angus is in story mode.
I started playing for my first time last week so I’m hook in this game is new for me🎉
Some times you can’t interact with other players, there is always a j3rk trying to kill you or your horse if you have something on it
Excuse me, recently I’ve been struggling to find any decent pictures of the ability cards on the internet. I see that you’ve got some pretty high quality ones in a few of your videos, can you tell me your source so I can have high quality images of every card to print out and make real cards of them
I was a Jack last year. This year I'm a Hosea, only coming back to RDO when I want to experience the old west through the eyes of my own custom character(s). Also a bit of a Josiah, admittedly.
Cool story though; last year I was free roaming in the desert and was being chased by a "Micah." I ran to one of the abandoned homesteads and then was able to headshot him from yards away with my Navy Revolver; no deadeye or aim assist, and I also had my reticle disabled. He put up after that.
I'm a mix of Dutch, Hosea and Arthur. Sometime I'll hop on the just enjoy and do some missions but I also believe it's too good to just be abandoned. The ones that just go around shooting people for no reason are the worst. I agree if they want to do that pick a game that focuses on that kind of game play. Red Dead is more for the chill players, IMO.
Went on there the other day..just to say hi and pay respects to my old friend. My cat past and we were moving..of course the box that got lost was his stuff. Named my dog after him while he was alive..sadly the only thing I have left of him. Was a good 13yrs with my Drew.
I was Dutch in May grinding was a good deal with double payouts! Mostly bounty hunter or Hosea any other times like hang out at the Moonshine Shack. OH Abigail... almost every other day situation for me.
I got to rank 500, went back to playing storying mode, only go online once a month for the free community outfits.
I play sometimes, almost every time though I get randomly blown up. And I mean I can be in the most remote part of the map alone and blow up. Also sometimes my horse will randomly stop and kick me off like there's a predator nearby when there isn't, not run away, I get back on and it's the same thing. Idk if this is hackers but I can tell you it's consistent
I don’t know if anyone knows this glitch that I think I found but if you go into that little secret spot in the valentine saloon and use the elephant rifle with your back to the wall in first person while croutching you teleport into the middle of the floor
I'm most definitely Hosea, with a touch of Josiah & Dutch to keep myself from not going bored. And also, what character would represent the one who likes to seek out friends to play with? 'Cause that would be what I fall back on when all three of the previous playstyles have failed to engage me.
I also have little hope play since beta but also enjoy helping low levels pvp mostly but never shoot first and enjoy the surroundings of the game even the places i already been so many times also outside map
Number 5 caught me off guard😂
I honestly forgot red dead online even existed because of how long it took me to complete the story I mean I told myself I would try it after I did everything in the main story but then I just never did
I wish there was more in depth character customisation almost like fallout. property’s would be nice
I still play on PS5. (ShootinRopes77)
and I'm now level 152.
I'm more of a collector/trader but love doing bounties/player bounties. I also am known as a Griefer "baiter"......I will go into different towns in hopes that I get fired on.
I never fire on any players unless fired upon first. Either way I love how intense it can get. Great game.
I'm a Dutch, Arthur and Hosea. Working on earning lots of money to buy all clothes and best equipment for horses , despite knowing the game is likely dead I still hold hope or it coming back to life.
"They spend so much on outfits that they're always broke"
Bro did not have to call me out like that ☠️
I still play RDO and love it!👍🏼👊🏼
Me and my friends play every Monday.. for around 2hrs.. beat each other up, throw each other off waterfalls.. endless fun. Best way to start the week.
I like it mainly for the missions with characters that we care about, like Bonnie, Sean, Sadie & Jake, etc. We wouldn’t ever have been able to see the Adlers together if it wasn’t for RDO.
Ha, just started online, so I'm definitely Jack now. Feel I will grow up with a split Hosea/Dutch personality because there is always one more hunt, and one more score to do. Also can't count myself as Arthur, unless believing that R* will be putting all efforts towards RDR3 very soon, and hopefully an even better, even expanded Online at that time!
I noticed one of the guys that tried to kill you in the clip was the same one who tried to jump my mates too 💀
I am Hosea; though I basically don't play anymore.
Within the last month I logged in (to online) twice.
Not even 5 seconds into the first one there were continuous explosions around me - luckily I spawned in camp so I just logged back out.
Some days later I wanted to pick up the mothly outfit cause this one actually looked nive, so I spawned in camp, enabled passive mode and rode around a bit - hunting fishing. Then went into Strawberry to pick up the outfit and a bounty poster. And when I was bringing the target in I was thrilled to see another player there, waved and the suddendly my horse despawned with the bounty on the back, I flew into the air and when I landed my horse respawned dying on the floor with the bounty laying around too, and I was waving at the player so I saw that he didn't throw some bugged dynamite or anything else ... until I lay there and he started tossing moltoves.
I wished we could make solo lobbys, I just wanna enjoy the world with my personalised character.
I have everything and finished everything. Sometimes i play the game just to enjoy and have fun with new players 😁
6 is me lmao. I just spent 430$ of my 500$ on the same belt buckle, just because I was indecisive about how each color variation looked on my new outfit. Even though I still need to upgrade my moonshiner shack.
I can't claim to be any of these right now, as I haven't played for two or three months. When I was still playing I was undoubtedly a Hosea type, with a bit of Arthur mixed in. As others have said though, I think a Charles Smith lone wolf type, who never does harm unless it's done to me first, would also sum me up.
Sadly, the Arthur side of me has just about succumbed to the TB, and is now a spirit deer having nostalgic dreams about the good old days. That being said, I'll be back at some point, no doubt.
I'm Hosea and Arthur. My Hosea side came out when I re-visited the game to try and get the Platinum trophy on PS5, but got lost in the world when I had to work for the Online trophies. The Arthur in me would be happy for awhile if they just add content back in that already exists (season pass content).
Also the Abigail one got me laughing, you did her dirty! 🤣 Not that she doesn't deserve it, but I kind of feel like her & John deserve each other.
I don't really see her cheating since she is a housewife that love her husband and their son.
