- Latest addition to my feral Warhammer 40K Feral Ork army. I figure Beastsnaggas and Squighog boyz, with the AoS savage orks, are pretty straight forward. So I thought I'd try something a bit more challenging, and do some Stormboyz.

You can always use that gabbag bit on a vehicle as a dangle bit from a rear view mirror, or a dangly bit elbow a trailer hook.

I started imagining a nob that was flying with one or more winged hair squigs, though that would require a lot of greenstuff work to cover wings in hair.
It certainly would, but the wouldn't need to be fully hairy, even bats wings are more leathery than their bodies. Basically squigs can be whatever you want them to be 😁🙏

That's fairly neat concept for Stormboyz.
As for the other bit, you just need to play with the sack a little bit more - but not too much - and get it positioned just right, then you'll get your flying t-bag. 😁

I played with that sack for ages and found the only way close to getting it right was to use almost the full thing, which gave a very low hanging sackage on the old teste fits. Likely to catch in tree tops and on fences, so thought it best to just let it go 😁👍

Quality stuff!!! If you have more weapons than free hands you can always put a huge oversized Bayonet on yur slugga so that it's almost an axe with a barrel. Like that Rogue trader blood axe boss
Very true, I feel bayonets have taken a slump in popularity from I m the old rogue trader days. Maybe its time we brought them back 🤔

Damn, dude. You could have done a fairly simple conversion, but you repositioned the legs, actually gave each of them a slugga and choppa, and added some chain for the ranged weapons to hang! That's commitment!

I would say that mangler squig kopters sound cool but they'd work out quite pricey, however I've just used 3 kits to make 1, so maybe that argument isn't valid anymore 🤔😂

I like me a good kit-bash. The Squigs in that Gloomspit Gitz kit look really cool with the wings added on. I was tempted to add a couple of genestealer arms to my Beast Boss on Squigosaur's mount to make it look a bit more T-rexy for a few hot minutes.
Before squighogs showed up a couple year back, I had a couple of sets of the fantasy Greenskinz Boar Boyz (the up-armored/more-generic version of the 'Savage' boar riders, i.e they're orcs that have pants on) and dakka guns that I converted into slightly a more-savage-looking warbikers.
I have a box of savage orcs sitting in the closet, I might have to get some some hopping squigs and another set of gargoyles now. ;)

Fantastic stuff mate! I've had a couple of units if these Squig hoppers for a while now that I've been planning on using as Stormboyz with both a rebel Grot force, and probably a beast snagga force too occasionally. Good to see someone out there not just sitting on them for over a year like me 😅
Haha, I had them tucked away for about 8 months, after I used the grots off the back for saddlegitz. Was just really pleased to get some use out of the squigs.
Now I just need to find a use for 10 nids with no wings, legs or flying stands 🤔

AOS Brute Ragerz would make would make great meganobz, no opponent worth playing against would protest against their use as meganobz or regular nobz
Yeah, I've had a look at them, i also quite like the AoS ogor gorger mawpack but think they might need a bit too much work 🤔
Portable squig artillery sounds like a very functional multi use unit you're shunning there

This is what I've been doing for a while now. Sucks they're mono posed, but the new ork boyz kits are too, and you get 20 instead of 10. Also forces you to get creative.
The savage orruks can be manipulated with a little work, much like the GW beast snaggas kit. But the new boyz kit is a nightmare 😢
It's a shame there's 2 boxes of 10 in the combat patrol
The only thing is I'd reduce the height of the clear base so it's closer to stormboy official height
I get that, though I'm not as bothered by matching official size (except for base size where possible). I also love the smoke stack style storm boys, and they're REALLY tall 😁
