- Following on from my recent 40k Ork kitbashes using the AoS Bonesplitterz kits I decided they needed a Trukk. So I grabbed a spare one from my pile of opportunity and used (about 4% of) it to knock together a frontier wagon style build pulled by a team of Squig Boars!

Great work! I especially like the wagon looking arch bit.
I'm not sure if it's ever been written anywhere official, but I think a lot of ork players come to the conclusion that space ork boars must be a type of squis as that helps explain why they show up everywhere orks are.
A good source of springs for suspensions and whatnot are old worn out mechanical pencils and pens with the clicky buttons. They even have the appropriate size rods to go through them.

Those orks look like theyre having a great day, motivational acceleration device is miles better than the old slaver whip, very savage. Little house on the prairie never looked this good, gorkamorka frontier of adventure .. if they ever meet a baneblade .. priceless. Snakebites' technology at its best, its so good.

I think the harness is called a Yoke, also it's obviously a truck you can tell by the trucknutz.

It's a good shout, 6+ Stevo used the Headkrakka archer as the rockitt boy for a unit, did something similar 👍

It looks awesome. I think what makes it somewhat resemble a KIll Rig is how tall the thing is. The platform is well above head level for an ork.
Speaking of which...how do they get on the thing? A mighty leap, I assume? Or maybe the ballsack plays a part on that?
I figure they probably climb up the wheels, but i suppose they might be able to scale the nuts too 🤔

do you just make this stuff straight from your head or do you do a lot of planning beforehand to get the look you were going for?
I've generally got an idea of what I want in my head and just go for it, sometimes plans change. Though I did scribble very basic ideas on a post it note for my Grot Mega tanks 😁🤷🏻♂️
Did it even need any parts from the actual trukk kit? Coulda just substituted a few lengths of sprue and diamond plate plasticard.
Tough to say. GW ork vehicles have a certain look and texture that is hard to duplicate with just plasticard and paint.
I reckon you may be right, I'll find out when I use the rest of the trukk kit, no doubt, for another trukk 😁
