First time watching your videos I like them a lot. I’m a first time beard grower since no-shave November so I’m 2 months into my beard. Thanks for sharing your journey with us and give me some tips and ideas as a new beard grower,I know all about the awkward beard growing stage. Can’t wait to watch more of the videos.
You have an extraordinarily beautiful beard, fantastic beautiful color shades, it is one of the most beautiful beards I have ever seen in my life. I am in my sixth month growing my beard and I really enjoy the beard journey.
Joe, I also have a curly coats beard,I find using a hair dryer (low heat) is a absolute game changer. I when from a 2 inch unruly beard to a 6 inch well maintained beard. Try It, good luck.
Fantastic vid man! I’d recommend you use a round brush to reduce the Wave under your chin, mine does the same and when I use the round brush it looks so much better!
Should've also commented on the way you explained things in your video...great job! Helped me..I'm 1 month in on my first time beard. I'm 50 years old and like you i shaved once a week most of my life and have similar facial hair as far as curling. I'm definitely going for the yeard! Thanks for taking the time to make video!
Interesting video to see your progress, I think the length you have now looks good or maybe a little longer. I've just hit 3 months and had my neck lined brought up and a bit of length taken from underneath to let the chin grow as it seems to be alot slower, was looking like yours in your 2 month photo and was really bugging me
Great benefit for growing thick beard is your face wrinkles double chin is covered. Every day when you shave your skin becomes very hard when you stop shaving skin becomes softer. When I used to shave my age looked older now I have grown thicker beard people judge my age far more younger than my actual age that’s because double chin and other lines are covered with thick beard
Great beard! Looks like you might be pressing too hard when combing/brushing though, which causes that dip underneath your chin. Try to go straight down when combing instead of pressing in underneath your chin. I have to remind myself of the same thing. You can also fix this with a heated brush. Like i said though, great beard!
Cool video man, i was 34 when i grew my first beard. Im 36 now and am working on my first yeard currently at 5 and a half months. Mine is super curly and its a pain sometimes but I’m going to make the yeard. Great beard man!
My head hair is a brownish color. Although, I’m balding, so I now keep it short. My beard has a different color range / more red and blond hair than my head.
Haha That's what's great about being an Italian American His month beard is my 1.5 week beard no joke. It's great incase of mistakes. Btw you have am amazing beard dude so dense and yeah that awkward stage is what made me trim a few inches off last month and I'm regretting the fuck out of it by December 1st I'll be back to where it was BUT if I never cut it I'd be that much ahead after 30 years of growing and shaving beards one would think by now I'd be able to resist the urge but one stressful day trimmed with shakey hands and I'm still paying the price.
I cut it. I wouldn’t say I had much trimming experience at the time. The hairs on my chin tend to want to curl under. I found that on my beard I need to leave it a little longer and fuller than what I cut it to. The beard has grown back in but it’s a balancing act between having enough to fill in the waves of the beard and not being out of control.
I wouldn’t say taking care of your beard is femme. If someone has a short beard, they most likely won’t have to worry about using any products. Just like with long hair, long beards will need maintenance and the use of some products to keep it healthy and combable. If someone has a beard that doesn’t need any maintenance, then that’s great but that’s definitely not me. I also wouldn’t say that taking care of yourself in general is femme either. Everyone should be taking showers and putting on deodorant. I will say that I have found soaps, deodorant and beard products that I prefer more than others.
@@JoeMcCoskey I think everyone would agree about cleanliness and basic upkeep. I guess i just have a more traditional view of things, when it comes to styling and product use. I appreciate your rebuttal and non-hateful reply.
The God of Beards has given you the best genes for thickness
Damnn the thickness is crazyy
Your beard is fantastic, Joe. You've got terrific density and color variation for an excellent looking woolly beard. 10 months in is your sweet spot.
that ice on the beard is badass man
Crazy density, crazy steady growth. What a beard
One of the coolest beards I’ve ever seen. Keep on growing.

It will be a rewarding journey.

Awesome colours on the beard, whats the color of your headhair?
My head hair is a brownish color. Although, I’m balding, so I now keep it short. My beard has a different color range / more red and blond hair than my head.

I am on month 5/6 of my yeard.
Your wall looks like my floor
It's vinyl flooring on stands
2:14 exactly! That awkward phase is a struggle
Damn haha, you have like a perfect beard.
Beautiful yeard. I grew my first yeard, I'm at 14 months right now but my wife is over it so I'll be shaving soon lol. Great video
10 or 11th month with some heat on the sides. 👍🏾👍🏾
Did you trim the mustache in that time?
Yes, that's the one thing I did trim. I couldn't stand it curling into my mouth.
It looks better when it was longer.
That 11th month beard 😱 please grow that back 🙏
You have any plans to part a sea now that you have the look.
That would be awesome if I could do that.
Would look great w a nice viking style braid
Mate who cut ur beard ? Makes you look like you have a huge double chin , u had a great years definitely should grow the chin area back in

Joe McCoskey 😆 ok bud 👍🏻 the beard suits you well , like the square cut you showed.
Man I hate shaving
HOMER SIMPSON
Hope my gf doesn't try growing a yeard! 😅
Why does everyone keep referring to this as a journey? Your not Frodo traversing middle earth. Your growing a damn beard.
Frodo no he looks like Gandalv
Yeah grew very well but how did you menage to grow every color of hair known to men 🤣 Looks cool
Hope I don’t become so femme about my beard, product this and product that.
