I found this video while researching Rockwood Ultra Lite. The first video I watched was from a dealer. It was informative but it did not show the practical "real life" aspect of ownership. Your video was fun to watch with lots of good info and very relatable. My wife and I will both be retiring within the next year and are exploring our options. My wife is a glamper too 🙂. I am so glad to have found your channel. My wife and I did a huge search to replace our first trailer we loved to death. We went to the RV Show in Chicago in 2018 and fell in love with the 2608bs. We bought our baby in March of 2020. The Saturday before the IL Gov. shut everything down. It sat in our driveway till October when we could finally get it out. We love our rig and what makes your channel special for me is that we get to watch people that are Rockwood 2608bs owners like us!!!! Reggie, we are kindred spirits. Learning this rig was like we never RVed before. I also tend to have learning experiences on every adventurer. I am retiring at the end of June. We plan to really put our "Rocky" through the paces. I'm so glad I found this video. I just bought a 2023 Forest River Flagstaff Super Lite 26FKBS, which is the same model as your Rockwood. And it was just awesome to see it with it being lived in as opposed to just a walk through at a dealership or something along those lines. It gave me great ideas of things I would like to do inside. We too bought our 2608bs last August. We absolutely love it. Have a few minor issues with it which are getting attention under the warranty. I have learned alot from Mikka and Reggie, thank you so much for sharing with us your episodes. Mikka has an elegance for decor, my wife loves it. Currently having slideout toppers installed. I just stumbled on this video and I'm so glad I did! We're buying this same camper and I wanted to see an owners view vs the stuff the rv places do. You and I have such similiar decorating tastes, both love celebrating the seasons, and do our organization in the cupboards the same so it was like getting to see what our new rv would actually look like being used 😊 Thank you guys SO much for sharing your home away from home with us! We are getting the model with the freestanding table and chairs in place of the dinette because we have 3 large dogs and need a crate and beds spot, but originally before we knew that was an option, we were looking for the dinette plus a sofa to use the dinette for a giant dog bed so when you guys said that I already knew I'd love your tips and advice 🤣 also, we were looking at the same one as your 1st camper that you traded in, im super glad I saw your video on that as well, it really just helped to let me know we made the right choice with this model...everything you said about why that one didn't work were my concerns! I made a little shelf that goes between the upper cabinets to store the sink covers/cutting boards/dish soap. Like the matching covers on your refridgerator, ours in Stainless steel.

I was a little worried about our dishes fitting in the upper cabinets as they’re not as deep as our current rig. We have named him/her yet. Leaning towards Rocky as we do most of our camping in RMNP. Great tour and great video! We’re not as decorative. We’re bare bones traveler’s and we are “go bag” folks like Reggie! However, I did take note of the closet organizer and hooks for keys and other things! I swore to my wife that starting with our next trip, I will be unpacking and using closets and drawers. Good stuff and great tips!

@@southernethoslife Oh, forgot to add that we travel with our girl “Sadie” (chihuahua) and we found that you just have to take them on your trips to begin to normalize them. The longer you wait the older they get and the more uncomfortable they’ll be ultimately making the transition to travel more difficult. Start a travel routine, animals especially dogs are creatures of habit and they thrive on a routine. Sorry for the long message…

@@aronk7412 The Mammoth Lakes Boondocking was a complete success!! The weather was sunny everyday and highs of about 58 59 each day. Never got close to freezind so no worries about low temps when it came to our new 200ah Lithium battery. No problem running the Furnace throughout the night. Woke up with a 65-70% battery. Lovely!!! By noon- 1pm we were back up to 100% SOC. 🌞Best trip with Anastasia so far and it cost used absolutely $0 for a 5 night stay. We are very happy campers right now. Enjoy your 2608BS Aron! Cheers🥂

Loved the tour thank you. Looks very comfy and homie. We looked at every single rockwood signature multiple times and decided to go with the 8337RL. We have a smaller travel trailer now with corner shower and tge 8337 has a much nicer one then ours. Plus the storage is excellent inside. Outside not so much but I plan on a tonneau cover and sliding tray in truck to handle all of our exterior things like chairs,tools generator etc. Will sub ya and safe travels.

@@southernethoslife we purchased a moisture barrier for under the mattress. That's where cold air (air conditioner) meets hot which is compartment under mattress that can be accessed by outside.

Hey Sheila based on my ability to reach the AC vents and air vents, I would say the ceiling height is at least 7 ft tall. The exterior is 11 ft. I hope that helps, our model is known for having more interior headroom than other travel trailers. Have a great week.
Hi- came accros your channel and am really enjoying the content. Question- how do you do your hair when on the raid. Or are you on short trips tbat you can wait until you return? Is there enough room to do this process. We are thinking about an RV and that may be my only issue. If i had to wash,dry my hair i may use all of the water😊 i normally sit under a hair dryer with curlers which would not be transportable 😅 It looks very homey. Love the videos❤
Kathy, the hair struggle is real when camping! On occasion I have washed my hair in the RV and used a blow dryer. Water is never an issue because we typically RV at full hook up locations. In our model there is plenty of space for my hair routine. With a dryer I am mindful of unplugging other appliances when in use. You will learn to work with the wind, rain, humidity. Hats and head bands are your friend. Trust me you will figure out a solution 🙂 Thanks for the support.

@@southernethoslife That does help. Thanks so much for the information. We are currently searching for a new camper. Ours is somewhere in the waters of Fort Myers Beach washed away by Hurricane Ian. We had a Coachmen 276RKSDLE (loved the bedroom closet and hall closet for towels, did not like the squeeze around the bed) and pulled it with a RAM 1500 that has the super upgraded towing package. We can pull up to 12,000 pounds with it. We have changed the way that we now camp versus the way that we did when we first started. Couple only. Now, it is 2 dogs in kennels (one is 34 pounds and the other will be 55 pounds when he is fully grown) and we also take my 6 year old grandson with us half the time. So we are doing a lot of research for the right set up for us.
Greetings. Our shower is radius type with glass and latch closure which I believe measures about 32" wide and about 66" tall with a skylight. So a good amount of room for to shower and move around at being 5' 10". Hope that helps and have a great week.
Hey HsvJackie. Technically Yes, but you would have to use the separate entry doors for each.The couch may be a tight squeeze but you do have access to the kitchen as well. Hope that helps.
How often do you have your wheel bearings checked? Does your griddle mounted to the side of the camper get the wall hot close to melting the fiberglass?
I haven't yet, since this is the first full season and we have less than 5,000 miles on the trailer. I will probably do it at the end of this season. In regards to the griddle, it's still in the box. I cook on a portable charcoal weber grill. We prefer charcoal over gas and also less mess for me to clean up. Safe travels and enjoy the ride.
I don't believe it is classified as a "4 season" camper, where they guarantee systems will run at certain temperatures but it does keep us warm during the fall camping season between the heating system and electric fireplace. Hope that helps.
@@southernethoslife Well you must be talking about the tongue weight that it places upon your vehicle. The Cargo Caring Capacity (CCC) of a 2608BS is 1910 lbs according to the specs. My wife and I need to take ours to a set of scales. We went with all of the options so our CCC had to have taken a big bite. The last thing we want is axle, wheel bearing, or tire failure. It seems too easy to add a lot of extras and not realize the weight added.
@@BackriverRebel thanks, yes I have to agree. Reggie might know. It is easy to get carried away with making it more home like. Yea, undercarrage failure is terrible thing to have to happen.
@@BackriverRebel Great point John. There are limits to the axles, bearings, and tires. Start by checking your tire ratings (load range). Never exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Ratio (GVWR). It should be noted by a sticker on the side of the camper. If you are over and have a accident then this could be a very bad situation and found that you had some liability in the accident.

And it was just awesome to see it with it being lived in as opposed to just a walk through at a dealership or something along those lines. It gave me great ideas of things I would like to do inside. We too bought our 2608bs last August. We absolutely love it. Have a few minor issues with it which are getting attention under the warranty. I have learned alot from Mikka and Reggie, thank you so much for sharing with us your episodes. Mikka has an elegance for decor, my wife loves it. Currently having slideout toppers installed. I just stumbled on this video and I'm so glad I did! We're buying this same camper and I wanted to see an owners view vs the stuff the rv places do. You and I have such similiar decorating tastes, both love celebrating the seasons, and do our organization in the cupboards the same so it was like getting to see what our new rv would actually look like being used 😊 Thank you guys SO much for sharing your home away from home with us! We are getting the model with the freestanding table and chairs in place of the dinette because we have 3 large dogs and need a crate and beds spot, but originally before we knew that was an option, we were looking for the dinette plus a sofa to use the dinette for a giant dog bed so when you guys said that I already knew I'd love your tips and advice 🤣 also, we were looking at the same one as your 1st camper that you traded in, im super glad I saw your video on that as well, it really just helped to let me know we made the right choice with this model...everything you said about why that one didn't work were my concerns! I made a little shelf that goes between the upper cabinets to store the sink covers/cutting boards/dish soap. Like the matching covers on your refridgerator, ours in Stainless steel.

We just purchased this same model and will pick it up on this Tuesday. Thank you so much for showing the cupboards. I was a little worried about our dishes fitting in the upper cabinets as they’re not as deep as our current rig. We have named him/her yet. Leaning towards Rocky as we do most of our camping in RMNP. Great tour and great video! We’re not as decorative. We’re bare bones traveler’s and we are “go bag” folks like Reggie! However, I did take note of the closet organizer and hooks for keys and other things! I swore to my wife that starting with our next trip, I will be unpacking and using closets and drawers.

@@southernethoslife Oh, forgot to add that we travel with our girl “Sadie” (chihuahua) and we found that you just have to take them on your trips to begin to normalize them. The longer you wait the older they get and the more uncomfortable they’ll be ultimately making the transition to travel more difficult. Start a travel routine, animals especially dogs are creatures of habit and they thrive on a routine.

@@aronk7412 The Mammoth Lakes Boondocking was a complete success!! The weather was sunny everyday and highs of about 58 59 each day. Never got close to freezind so no worries about low temps when it came to our new 200ah Lithium battery. No problem running the Furnace throughout the night. Woke up with a 65-70% battery. Lovely!!! By noon- 1pm we were back up to 100% SOC. 🌞Best trip with Anastasia so far and it cost used absolutely $0 for a 5 night stay. We are very happy campers right now. Enjoy your 2608BS Aron! Cheers🥂

Loved the tour thank you. Looks very comfy and homie. We looked at every single rockwood signature multiple times and decided to go with the 8337RL. We have a smaller travel trailer now with corner shower and tge 8337 has a much nicer one then ours. Plus the storage is excellent inside. Outside not so much but I plan on a tonneau cover and sliding tray in truck to handle all of our exterior things like chairs,tools generator etc. Will sub ya and safe travels.

hello again from susan and chuck in louisiana. we are the ones with the same 2021 model camper. i love your 2 little schnauzers. i use to have schnauzers for years.,. when they passed we got 2 boston terriers and without looking , ended up rescuing 2 more. we are gong camping for the first time with all 4 and i am very concerned how it will work out. anyway, i just wanted to say i love the way you decorated your camper. it really looks great. Hey, Welcome back Carlos. We have a 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon. I would suggest making sure the trailer you select is a match for your trucks tow capacity before purchasing. Good luck and I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever Rig you select.

@@southernethoslife we purchased a moisture barrier for under the mattress. That's where cold air (air conditioner) meets hot which is compartment under mattress that can be accessed by outside.

Hey Sheila based on my ability to reach the AC vents and air vents, I would say the ceiling height is at least 7 ft tall. The exterior is 11 ft. I hope that helps, our model is known for having more interior headroom than other travel trailers. Have a great week.
Hi- came accros your channel and am really enjoying the content. Question- how do you do your hair when on the raid. Or are you on short trips tbat you can wait until you return? Is there enough room to do this process. We are thinking about an RV and that may be my only issue. If i had to wash,dry my hair i may use all of the water😊 i normally sit under a hair dryer with curlers which would not be transportable 😅

Kathy, the hair struggle is real when camping! On occasion I have washed my hair in the RV and used a blow dryer. Water is never an issue because we typically RV at full hook up locations. In our model there is plenty of space for my hair routine. With a dryer I am mindful of unplugging other appliances when in use. You will learn to work with the wind, rain, humidity. Hats and head bands are your friend. Trust me you will figure out a solution 🙂 Thanks for the support.

Hey Cheryl, we keep towels and other items in our drawers under the closet. It's a good amount of space. Our tow vehicle is 2020 Ram Power Wagon 2500. Hope that helps and have wonderful rest of the week.
@@southernethoslife That does help. Thanks so much for the information. We are currently searching for a new camper. Ours is somewhere in the waters of Fort Myers Beach washed away by Hurricane Ian. We had a Coachmen 276RKSDLE (loved the bedroom closet and hall closet for towels, did not like the squeeze around the bed) and pulled it with a RAM 1500 that has the super upgraded towing package. We can pull up to 12,000 pounds with it. We have changed the way that we now camp versus the way that we did when we first started. Couple only. Now, it is 2 dogs in kennels (one is 34 pounds and the other will be 55 pounds when he is fully grown) and we also take my 6 year old grandson with us half the time. So we are doing a lot of research for the right set up for us.
What size is your rug? Just purchased a 2023 2608bs but haven't rec'd it yet. Would like to buy some things so we are ready when it arrives.
We have 2 rug sizes. We purchased the Venture Forward Reversable TV Patio Mat, Diamond Motif 8×11 and 8x16 from Camping World.
How tall/wide is your hubby? How does it fit in the shower. That’s a concern with us looking for our RV.
Greetings. Our shower is radius type with glass and latch closure which I believe measures about 32" wide and about 66" tall with a skylight. So a good amount of room for to shower and move around at being 5' 10". Hope that helps and have a great week.
Question: Can the bedroom and living slides be used/sat on while the slides are in?
Hey HsvJackie. Technically Yes, but you would have to use the separate entry doors for each.The couch may be a tight squeeze but you do have access to the kitchen as well. Hope that helps.
I asked the dealer if slideouts can be used in the in position, they don’t recommend it, definitely not in the partial out positions.
How often do you have your wheel bearings checked? Does your griddle mounted to the side of the camper get the wall hot close to melting the fiberglass?
I haven't yet, since this is the first full season and we have less than 5,000 miles on the trailer. I will probably do it at the end of this season. In regards to the griddle, it's still in the box. I cook on a portable charcoal weber grill. We prefer charcoal over gas and also less mess for me to clean up. Safe travels and enjoy the ride.

Do you know if this is a 4 seasons camper?
I don't believe it is classified as a "4 season" camper, where they guarantee systems will run at certain temperatures but it does keep us warm during the fall camping season between the heating system and electric fireplace. Hope that helps.
Have you carried the camper to a set of scales to make sure your not over loading it?

@@southernethoslife Well you must be talking about the tongue weight that it places upon your vehicle. The Cargo Caring Capacity (CCC) of a 2608BS is 1910 lbs according to the specs. My wife and I need to take ours to a set of scales. We went with all of the options so our CCC had to have taken a big bite. The last thing we want is axle, wheel bearing, or tire failure. It seems too easy to add a lot of extras and not realize the weight added.
@@BackriverRebel thanks, yes I have to agree. Reggie might know. It is easy to get carried away with making it more home like. Yea, undercarrage failure is terrible thing to have to happen.
@@BackriverRebel Great point John. There are limits to the axles, bearings, and tires. Start by checking your tire ratings (load range). Never exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Ratio (GVWR). It should be noted by a sticker on the side of the camper. If you are over and have a accident then this could be a very bad situation and found that you had some liability in the accident.
Correction GVWR...Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
