Always impressed with your meticulous methodology. What about something like a pullover machine to isolate and bring up the lats specifically?

Thank you man!! This comment was really nice. God I wish I had one! Tbh I’ve never had access to one and doing cable pullovers isn’t the same. However part of me believes it would be the leg extension of the lats. Meaning great for isolation but not a mass builder. I’d definitely use one if I had it but wouldn’t expend a ton of energy on it if that makes sense

I think a lot of intermediate lifters don't have nearly enough variation in their back training, a lot of that is probably from lack of knowledge of function.
I think one exercise that has really helped me fill it out my lower lats has been cable pullovers, more specifically the lat prayer variation. I use a triceps strap which allows for more complete shoulder extension compared to a rope. With the lat prayer variation, you raise your torso to more vertical during the movement to really get a peak contraction in the lower lats. Menno Henselmanns has a CZcams video about them. If you haven't tried them I suggest giving them a shot.
I know that vertical pulling hits shoulder extension, but a lot of people lack the scapular control to really target the lats fully, even on a lat pull with submax load. You really need to keep the scapula slightly protracted or at least resist retraction, thinking about pulling the elbow into your hip can be a good cue. Or you can just do vertical pulls for the overload and then supplement with lat prayers as an isolation exercise.

Wide grip RDLS are the one. I rmeber I done them for the first time and my lats were pumped with so much blood . They worked harder than usual to keep bar near my legs

Excellent content man. Over these years I don't think I've seen you do good mornings. Maybe I'm mistaken. Do you find the RDL variations do the job? Peace!

Nice video! btw you have my goal physique! insane. About the wide grip RDL could i make that main deadlift variation? (maybe starting from the floor too)

I would add that if you round your lower back to maximize the involvement of your ass on the deadlift, you will work your erectors in a concentric way (just a little bit but with a lot of weight). Also on your rdl, why don't you go directly for shrugs? The trapezius will work harder.
I also do so many pull ups and it's funny to see how the tree on the back show when you do pull ups, as for you middle trapezius.
