That reminds me of my brother, he died at 16, I was 14 when he died, he was a dumpster diver, I did that too, sometimes me and him looked in dumpsters together, after he died I gave it up for years, one day I was watching videos on CZcams when a dumpster diving video was in the list of videos and I wasn't looking for videos like that, yet I watched it anyway and later when I was at town, I checked a Dollar Store dumpster, I found a small amount of stuff and it rekindled that flame which me and my brother had when we dumpster dove, now I been doing that for a-long time now, every now and then I am BLESSED when I find items in the dumpsters. THANK YOU! and BLESS YOU!

Fear is not a bad thing. It’s a build in mechanism that’s there to keep us safe. Irrational fear is a whole another thing.

Yes, we were hiking up a heal with all our gear and we were out of shape for the adventure, so we decided to count our steps together, out loud to see if we would get to 200. We did! We counted another 200. We made it to the top in 563 steps!

I get it! I am 73! I followed Stephanies guidance. I joined TH, used her template and got my first housesit (locally to build references) just yesterday!!!! Talk about fear. I felt it really strong and while my hands and stomach were shaking, I got in my car and went to the interview. I am so proud of me!!!

So, here is my attitude. I can be afraid......while I am doing it! In other words, jump in. They got supermarkets, doctors, schools, cities, transportation etc all over the world. America has hypnotized and scared us into thinking that she is the best country in the world!! Sometimes NOT! I wish you well, Lady.

I am grateful for being able to be in a space where women like me have a “Choice” to be what we want to be, so what we want to do, and have what we want to have. I travel because my mom wanted to, but wasn’t able to fulfill her travels. We talked about it many times when I was younger in my early years of adulthood. Neither of us were able to afford it at the time. But now, I know better and doing better because of my eyes being opened to so much I missed out on. So much was hidden from “us”.
Now, when I “feel” like going and I go!

I have been to Panama a few times to visit Afro expats. Panama is cool....English widely spoken, US dollar accepted and lots of foreigners there who worked on building the canal and never left. One thing to always remember.....if you try it and don't think it's for you.....you can leave and go elsewhere. You won't go to jail for redirecting and shifting.

Oh my goodness! I started crying about 2 min into listening to this 😔 I have done 'fear' all my life but somehow the last couple years have been brutal in regaining my confidence. You’re so right about fear not going away until you face it. I used to think I’d only be able to do certain things AFTER I dealt with the fear. But I learned to accept fear and do things I wanted to do like teach in Asia, travel solo, meet new people despite feeling shy, and even going paragliding in China(probably a one time thing lol). I liked hearing about your experiences from basic training. Definitely intimidating but I know having those experiences behind you to reference felt empowering. I will be using the hall of fame tip in my life. Great video!

I am learning and you and the other ladies are making a difference in my life. You are from Delaware. I am born a raised in Philadelphia always hated it. moved to the Suburbs. Now in San Antonio, Tx. I may have mentioned it before.
Well said, Stephanie. We all have fear and I certainly have had it whenever I've moved cross country or abroad. I felt it when I studied and received my certifications in Hypnosis, Master/Teacher Reiki, Meditation etc. I'm feeling it now as I'm getting ready to move 5,000 miles abroad again to Mexico. The paperwork for the dog and covid testing(that could change as I'm traveling thru other countries) is a bit much. However, I remind myself I have the tools to calm myself, regroup, and having a moment to talk to my maker brings me back into trust and balance.

Hi Stephanie. I’ve done so much with fear leading the way. But I still dove in. Fear, like you indicated, is always there causing bumps in the road. I’m experiencing it again with the excuses of almost seventy, somewhat recent retired and with health issues raising its head. But I’m watching you (subscribed) and researching- taking action. I absolutely love your videos. This one was so perfect for me because I tend to let fear cause me hesitancy or procrastination. Only, oftentimes learning later that I was way ahead of the game. So I guess fear is a natural part of the process.

Only if you are ever out of video ideas, I wonder if you would please consider making a video on how to be more comfortable around animals, because I see that you housesit some pretty large dogs! I'm afraid I don't find myself quite so comfortable with animals. Also, I think I've heard you mention that you travel with only a carry on.
