Dami is actually a part of the dance line. SuA is just so strong that people forget that JiU and Dami are the lead dancers. 😂 Dreamcatcher really does have a lot of addictive songs. They're one of the artists that I'm guaranteed to love any song I think I hate on first impression(I was so wrong about Silent Night and The Curse of The Spider!). Dreamcatcher's b-sides are up there with Mamamoo's in terms of quality and variety. Black or White is my favorite song from them and Sleep-walking, July 7th, and And There Was No One Left are always on repeat. You should watch a live version of Jazz Bar, the song you listened to on the live yesterday, because you'll get to see Dami sing. Vocal Dami is so rare and we treasure the crumbs we're given.

6:24 Dami is actually a lead dancer! She's not often talked about when it comes to the dance line (along with SuA & Jiu) so i appreciate that you pointed that out

Main vocalist is Siyeon, rapper Dami (and you got Yoohyeon right too along with Sua) and yes you got that right, Gahyeon has red hair and is the maknae. The one you didn't know is Handong, she was gone for Scream and BOCA as she was stuck in China.

Well, well, well. Hi there! Dreamcatcher are outdoing themselves here once again. Musically, the song is a fantastic journey. There actually are "cute" parts, but there also are parts where the guitars go full metal. The variations in BEcause remind me of their previous masterpiece, Deja Vu. The bridge with SuA's slow rap and Yoohyeon's adlibs is possibly the most beautiful one they have ever done.
About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story. They go back to their horror roots, which I really enjoy. One commenter noted that if you look at "BE" as a written Chinese character "悲“, that would mean "sadness". So the song title would mean "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to maybe mean "the cause of sadness is I like you". That commenter is Jad Hamizan and he deserves all the credit for noticing that.
The video picks up on that. JiU seems to be the puppet master here (or her doppelganger!). She is the one trapping the other members and turning them into puppets, but Gahyeon tries to escape (as you can see by her throwing off the cage right in the beginning). It seems JiU catches her again though, "because she likes her". The lyrics are even creepier. SuA sings: "Your expression is blue, blue. Your face is like ocean view.", hinting at strangulation due to the one being obsessed taking things way, way too far. Dreamcatcher are clearly not afraid to tackle the difficult subjects, and they do it masterfully here - again. For me, this is more than just pop, it is art.

Basically it's the movie Us if Us were about a bunch of korean girls (+1 Chinese girl) who are dolls at a carnival instead of a black family at a carnival. Also, it's a bit more poppy bc its their version of a summer song lol

The MV length is 3:13 min long cause it an easter egg to the movie "US", which they borrow plot and concept points for this MV.

So glad you notice Dami's dance skill! She is actually one of the lead dancers and is incredible, but so much of the unique choreography in her rap sections gets cut from the MVs, and in the dance line she's always off to the side or back of whoever is singing so she's harder to notice. But she really does it all. Badass main rapper, lead dancer, and second-highest singing range in the group after Sua which makes her vocal parts precious even though they're far and few between. I know you reacted to Deja Vu already, but I highly recommend her OST with Siyeon called "Shadow". The regular version is great but the slow version is where you really get the full impact of their incredible power and range. Definitely check out the lyric videos!
Have you thought about watching their relay dances? It's a really great way to see everyone's dancing showcased one by one. And they're just really fun lol, cuz they all goof off and have a great time.
And they do have a summer mini-album out! This is the only really hard track on it though. The others go for more of a fresh, romantic summer feel. Still great, though.

I totally know what you’re saying about wanting a little oomph at the end of the song, but you are voice your criticisms respectfully, you make the effort to learn their names, and you spend time on the tons of positives.
