That sounds like something I need to try. I make a bacon jam that is similar - just a tad of maple syrup and some bourbon with bacon and onions and a tiny bit of red chili flake.
Have you every made a Cuban Frita burger they are a great burger. Also to change up a burger and it is so simple but we forget it is a fried egg on top just before the yolk fully cooks so you get a little egg yolk drool easing out. It is so good on a smash burger. A well seasoned ground pork burger smashed is great with the egg as well. For a change as well. Sauces are the true flavor enhancer to up the ante of any burger. It changes the whole flavor profile to match food flavors around the world. The basic burger is so versatile to create a masterpiece of flavor explosion to the taste buds, through seasonings, sauces and topping. However we always seem to get into the rut of cooking the same old burger. We get like wimpy "give me a nickel for a burger and I pay you back next Tuesday." No adventure. However in reality they are so much more if you just allow the creativity to flow.
Nathan The smash burgers look great !! I have seen some restaurants use "Texas Toast " for the smash burgers and I think its much better with just a hamburger bun ! Glad to see you are using good ole Publix brands as I'm in Florida and its the best store ! Can't wait to make some of your sauces. Have subscribed to your channel

Why is it no one used the best onion for these burgers - white onions. They don't burn as quick as the other onions. Amazing all these youtube people don't know this. It's the best onion to use.

I like the Smokey flavor from fire. most times I won’t cook burgers if I have to make it on a griddle. Smash burgers are better than normal burgers from a griddle but it’s no comparison to burgers from the bbq. If you have the money to burn sure but I’ll just use a cast iron pan on my stove for this.
When you build/Assemble a Burger, does the order or placement of the condiments and veggies matter? (Example: Mayo on the bottom, then burger, then cheese, then lettuce, then tomato, then ketchup...)
Sup great burgers, I got lost? The 3 sauces used Mayo, at end eating said sour cream made difference? I made them, the chipotle one, it's my favorite, but used Mayo? I never added shaved jalapeno to the onion and that's genius 👊, sour cream lost me, watched many times making these burgers lol, tyvm tc 🍔

Pull them off and then I wrap a thin layer of 80/20 ground beef then I take a hoagie bun and put mayonnaise or desired sauce with lettuce and tomato and enjoy. Hope you like them as much as we do here in Oklahoma.

I do not understand the concept of Burger Rut. I’ve been eating my burgers with onion, pickle, and a mix of mayo, mustard, and hot sauce for 50 years. Love Smash Burgers and Onion Burgers, but nothing tops my Old Faithful. Great show, though.
Great job. My go to is Japanese mayo instead of dukes. Dukes is good, but that Japanese mayo is better imo. 80/20 smash burger. Get some good teriyaki sauce, cooper white or provolone cheese, sweet onion (could pickle these), kewpie Japanese mayo, tomato, some lettuce (I go arugula or summer crisp based on mood). Done. Another since I like you guys, just do up a basic burger, for the sauce, some Greek yogurt, some adobo sauce, dash smoked paprika, Dijon mustard, little Worcestershire, splash lime, done again.

90/10 is excellent. mine come out nice and juicy, medium done. a 1 inch thick burger is way beefier and more intense. you're just doing it wrong. smash burgers are completely dry. you are not tasting the meat. you are tasting the char and seasonings of a dried up burger. smash burgers are very well done. there is no medium or medium well.
All these Blackstone videos are kinda weird? Its a cheap walmart brand griddle at least here in canada...i have a griddle for my bbq so dont need a Blackstone but i mesn theyre so cheap literally bums in forest lawn can afford them its not some special thing, there are actual high end griddles that might inpress me 😂😂😂😂😂
Wow. Just made this tonight! I think it was the best burger I’ve ever had! The only thing I did different was I added a pad of butter on each patty!
