Also something I thought they would touch on, is the husband sounds like he’s from a very powerful family and has an influential father. If the woman simply wanted to divorce him and get away from him, she probably feared retaliation from the family or not being allowed to, getting the kids taken away from her and so on. It’s not everyday oh that people get arrested in Africa for family dispute unless those involved have influence

I want to caution you ladies that this is probably an abuser who wrote in to you. I know someone who escaped her narcissist husband while 5 months pregnant because she was afraid of him and for her unborn’s child life. Narcissists will often rewrite history to make themselves sound good when they’re no longer in control of the situation and this is exactly what this sounds like. There are too many plot holes in his story that make it very obvious he is lying, primarily because he started off by bragging up on himself about his influence and millions. I get you guys just pick and read dilemmas based off interest, but again air on the side of caution because there are dangerous people who will use you ladies and your platform for their own gain. He now has a group of influential ladies basically siding with him and boosting his ego.

Sometimes abusers will flip the script to ensure they victims have no way to run to.. the fact that he knows what story she gave to the new man, is wild and also the dilemma ended in threat
Her family and everyone that participated in this crime probably confessed everything. In Africa once the police arrests you will sing like a bird. It could be how he knows the story she told the new man.
"kidnapped" had me thinking she actually escaped, and his ending made me think... not her being returned to her abuser, potentially.
Like if she had to cook it up, sneak away, and solicit co-conspirators, it's not likely she was the one being diabolical, it prob means he was unbearably controlling and this was the only way she could get away

bro s/o to Beatrice for bringing up the health thing 😭 the way I’ve been putting off seeing a women’s health physician for so long. my list of concerns keeps growing and my parents have been like you better go and see someone & that I shouldn’t wait until I have an emergency, but I’ve had no sense of urgency before now. definitely booking my appointment this week. love you guys 💌

Beatrice, I’m so grateful for your PSA on health and seeing a doctor when things don’t feel right. You don’t have to apologize for ruining the mood. I myself needed to hear that message, not just with seeing a doctor but simply prioritizing REST. You might have just saved a viewer’s life by being that extra voice to get themselves checked by their doctor. ❤

Back to the story, for me i see these in two ways,the lady went overboard just to be with another man in these life,not that you guys planned on going to heaven, that's such a wicked thing to do to the father of your children, your children and his family common..
The other side is that probably the lady might have been going through abuse and couldn't leave or divorce the man due to how rich and influencial his father is and she knows herself and her family can't fight them,so she think the best thing is to leave like that with the man that treats her right..

Thank you ladies for talking about TW breast cancer. I would implore all women to be getting checked especially black women. Especially regarding to hormone imbalances etc. it’s truly scary! So many women are going through this and I feel like this is an unspoken epidemic. Please please get checked! Defo push for your checks don’t wait on it!

36:15 This is soooo true! Push, push, push these doctors to check until they get an answer! Unfortunately here in the US, I’ve found that the doctors will check for one thing and just write you off as “fine” when that test doesn’t show anything. It’s like they just have no desire to get to a root cause. I’m sure that’s not the case for everyone, but it seems to be common here in rural areas.

My thoughts exactly just because it wasn't proven in court doesn't mean it didn't happen. It meant he was able to hide it well or had connections but we will never know

For the last dilemma, it could also be that he has gut issues. Like you said, your breath still smelling IMMEDIATELY AFTER you brush your teeth is insane!!! Like when you fast for extended periods of time your body undergoes ketoacidosis and the ketones make your breath STINK (speaking from experience, had someone react to me). If she's planning on staying she could just buy a pack of gum and everytime she takes one she should also offer him one. But yeah I think she should suggest he go to the GP, dentist etc. If she's looking for reasoning she could just say for a general check up idk

It's not that we don't want to know about our health... but have you tried to get somebody to listen to you when you're having a real emergency in the nhs... let alone the "little" things that worry us...? You have to convince them that you need checking then fight to get any kind of treatment. I can't tell you the countless people that have had to almost die in front of staff in order to get help. Yiu get more sick trying to get help. When I had pneumonia, they were going to send me home with ibuprofen.... I was less than 12 hours from the point of no return when the actual doctor came in and said to call an ambulance to take me to the hospital. I do agree that we should still go and get checked, but the help is not helpful
