So glad to hear you guys brew tea. I am 70 year old Texan who has drank tea all my life. Moved to KC when I was 10 and befriended a neighbor behind us. They invited me for dinner. When we sat down to eat they had a pitcher of fresh cold milk
Yuk! I’m not a big milk person. But I thought all KC people didn’t know about southern iced tea.
My friend’s dad owned the McDonalds right behind Truman Corners Shopping Center.
Thank God we moved back to Texas when I was 15. But I still have a great love for KC and have always been a Chiefs fan.
Props to you Todd for the way you explain the technology. You always do a good job making it clear to non pros. Can't wait to see Sheila's kitchen!
Hola switch it up!
I’m am a Space Craft semi owner.. I enjoy your histories, we travel all around the USA , we owned a Circus ( circus Vazquez)
Since last year we choose T-Mobile 5G home internet and it has been working 99% in every spot,
God bless you
Awesome can we come to one of your shows sometime?
How are you able to use it in different locations? From looking at their website, they say "it will only work at your home address".
Very informative video, as always good content. Glad to see y’all enjoying the new rig.
Love the way you present the information, thanks for sharing. 😊🇨🇦
Thanks for the great video guys!!!! Can't wait to see you in SC!!!!
Us too!
Congrats on your new rig. Boy, it sure is big! And I'll bet it's heavy too. I hope you never get stuck in the mud or sand and it's not too big to fit in the boondocking places you like to go. We have a 36ft motorhome and sometimes find it difficult to get a site in FS and NP campgrounds so end up boondocking instead. It's a lightweight gasser with a tag axle so doesn't sink in that bad. We've never gotten stuck, even though we've gone to some pretty remote locations across fields and sand washes and down some pretty muddy and rutted FS roads over the last 5 yrs.
You've sure got plenty of batteries, but it looks like you could use a little more solar, (an easy add) but other than that, you appear to have all your ducks in a row. We only have 23.5 kwh of batteries, but over 5 kw of solar. This is enough to run both our rooftop A/C and mini split while we charge our batteries, even in winter. I think you guys use more power than we do, though we can run everything we need just like we're plugged into a pedestal at an RV park. We boondock almost all the time and find that our 50-gallon black tank will last the 2 of us about a month, but as long as we make it the 2-week camping limit, we're golden. We even transfer 15-20 gallons of gray water over into our black tank to stretch our tank's capacity to last 2-week BLM and FS limit. The extra water helps our black tank empty more completely too. We filter our water both going into our tank, and under the sink, but you have a much better filtration system than we do for sure. Take care!
Another awesome video. Thanks for sharing.
Love the content. This is best video I have seen from you bar none. Great job! Also the steady camera work is excellent
Great video!!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching!
Great video explaining it all....lots of stuff and very cool
Thanks 👍
You did a great job explaining your setup and why you did what you did. Thanks
What a great video. Keep up the great work!!
Thanks so much! See you this fall!!
Great vid on your new setup.
Great video! You were so complete on your systems - took some notes on upgrades I may want to do in the future (Reverse Osmosis - great Idea as we use another filter system). Dry camping/boondocking will be different for everyone - and many times you don't know until you just go and try. Great job on explaining your unique configuration! Love it!! See you both in Savannah!
We sent Simpure your comment and they came back with a 30% Discount Code...lol. Thank You! Pretty cool. Appreciate you watching.
@@SwitchItUpLife Awesome!
Hey Todd and Sheila, been following you guys from the get go , I guess my question is the new rig is beautiful, but holy F that is freaking huge to pull into a camp ground ! Did you get disgusted with momentum? Mine is in the shop with the nose frame cracked on both sides and master bedroom cabinets all smashed and collapsed. Waiting on grand design decisions to repair , fingers crossed . Good luck with new rig 👍
We have 460ah of Lithium, and we can run 1 A/C and the Microwave off it at the same time without issue. We also have a 12v compressor fridge that is always on. When we are in full sun with our 875w or solar we can just barely keep up with that 1 A/C unit all day. At night we can get about 5 hours of use out of our batteries if it is warm out.
Thank you for the behind-the-curtain perspective of your impressive water, power, and internet systems, and for not ending this wonderful and informative video on poop!😂
Great video. Enjoy your New Rig is Beautiful!!👍🏻
Thanks! Will do!
Love the cutting board ! I had actually looked at one in the Outer Banks for Sheila * with a blue resin "river" thru the wood. Great info. Safe travels~ Dubya
Love the green and black together, very nice!!
Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
Thanks for watching
Tech Time with Todd. A little T³. Love it.
Great video. Todd, you have become a professional with your knowledge. 👍
Thanks 👍
So cool to see you driving into THE RANCH!! Carla and Steve are our closest Luxe friends. Because of us they ordered their Luxe. We stayed with them for months in our home on wheels last winter. Best family EVER!!
Our extended family ❤️
So cool! They are great people!
@@SwitchItUpLife the best!!!!
I’m very interested in how you clean your awesome cutting board! Very much enjoyed tech tips with Todd as well! Looking forward to tutorial on the app too!
You do still have switch it up music! Good!👍 wow I should have watched intro 😂 lol 👍 continue Todd! I’m still here! Love to see more of your new rig!
I agree on the toilet thing. We boondock 2 to 3 weeks at a time so we really have to watch water consumption. Love you new set up and hope to meet up some day. We just started our full time adventure in January!
You both do a great job of explaining things. Agree on the toilet but you can adjust the water levels which helps
We have one of both toilets in our Class A. Having the option of using the front 1/2 bath or the macerator is the full bath is a real plus for our fulltime travel. We are looking forward to seeing everyone soon in S.C.
C4YT = Safe Travels 🍀🍀🍀
Wow what a set up! I am really happy for you guys… but way different than us normal RV’ers…. You guys are doing great…. Enjoy your next phase of RVing….
Todd the toilet story reminds me of the valve story on propane in the winter !
Damn. Nice system.
Oh wow u got a sweet setup for boon docking now, awesome actually. And the water setup is also very good. I just finished watching other videos on the composting toilet, finally understand the maintenance of those, n yeah i'll keep my black tank 😂. N yeah no one has mentioned the macerator needs more water! Oops!
So it's not a good boon docking gadget anymore than tankless water heaters unless u have a recirculating gizmo to not waste water. Dang, It's like so much was really made for full hook site usage. 🍻
It's better to have the particulate filter first before the softener. The macerator should have a water conservation mode that uses very little water. My wife and I can easily go 14 days on a macerator toilet. "If Todd can do it, so can you"! 👍
Great tip. We may just make that switch around. You see this is why we share so others can provide their knowledge as well. Thank you for watching. We will see what the next few months bring.
Those macerater toilets need two flush buttons. Number 1, very little water; Number 2, macerate.
Was surprised to hear you didn't combine the black and gray water holding tanks. I see they combine them on higher end Class As like Newell and Liberty. I guess you've done the research and separated is the way to go. Great video very informative.
After 3 years and doing a few boondocking times we thought we had a good idea but it seems we are always learning other ideas. We could of done a combination to tanks but honestly we thought it may cause more smell control because we never had these types of toilets before. We will do an update after a year and see where it all sits. Thanks for your thoughts.
❤❤❤
Most macerator toilets have 2 modes (ours does) one uses less than a quart and the other uses almost a gallon. Check your manual.
We see that it has a eco water saver and a "normal" flush - we need to check and see what the amount difference is.
can you by- pass the macerator for liquids?
Great question but not with the model we have. There is no way to open the seal without pushing a button- now we might be able to push both buttons like we do for travel day to get rid of all water- but I only get it times correctly about 1 out of 5 times so then I’d be wasting more water to try that ….so yeah still learning this.
And now Sheila has a drawer like Kellie😂
I said a couple years ago how much I liked Kelly’s drawers 🫣😂
Would it not make sense to run your waist water from your reverse osmosis back into your holding tank
Well.. it's a great point. The problem was we were not aware how much waste water their would be from the system. It isn't bad at all it's just that we should have it run to the other side because of sitting outside we don't want to be thinking of any water on this side. We do love the Simpure System though. So it's a learning curve.
Bring back switch it up music! 👍 Thank You👍
ok, gotta ask! What is the tea maker, please?
It's actually our coffee maker as well - does coffee pods or grounds - iced coffee or tea - really like it. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C29LZNLD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s02?ie=UTF8&th=1
I have a question on the water so when you’re having an opportunity to connect to a water source, I’m guessing you have to send that water into your freshwater tank so that all the treatments are utilized if you were just to go from a direct water source in a campground right into your waterlines you would not have Filtered or reverse osmosis water
Actually we can go straight from normal water source in a campground to all systems. Sorry it's just 1 simple bypass I didn't show. That way we don't have to use water pump all the time.
We use Star Link Gen 3.
Harvest Host - 150 dollars and we used it 5 times. So 30 dollars per stay plus the recommended 30 dollar spending, which is usually for us closer to 50. So 80 bucks per night and I can stay at full hookup KOA's etc for less than that. We love the stays.. but be aware of the actual cost.
All depends on how much you use it I guess - we use it multiple times per month - often at least once a week so that 100 per year membership is a lot less than 30 per stay for us. But good tip for people to really realize how many times they will use it! Thanks for taking the time to help others!
@@SwitchItUpLife We know, and renewed at the 99 dollar plan. Still it can get expensive lol
I'm thinking of getting an RV railroad car and small locomotive.
Hi from the Bimber's
Howdy!!👋
11:05 Hmmm, just how would you test that 4th filter? 😂
A masarator on the OUTPUT of the black/grey tank would have been a better idea. Imho
How many watts of solar is on the rig?
3000 watts on top. 2400 amp hours in batteries as a 48 v system so we are a little over 30kw.
Makes my 16kw system look like child’s play.
I would gently advise you to rethink not adding alkaninity in your reverse osmosis system sooner than later. RO removes essential minerals and alkaninity, decreasing amounts of salt in the blood. Each of your body's cells use ion charge electrical potential differences between sodium and potassium to generate the electricity inside you to perform all bodily functions (sodium-potassium pump).
If your cells run short of the required sodium level, your cells adjust by taking up more and more water. If you already moderate your dietary sodium intake as many people do to promote heart health, the shortage of alkalines from RO systems can become critical after a RO only ingestion over a period of weeks of boondocking. Consequently, the cells will swell from the additional thirst driven water intake. If this leads to transport of high amounts of water to the brain, it may be extremely harmful.
Apology for the novel, but boondocking can harm your health if you are uninformed about these modern RV efficiency systems.
I keep a 5 lb jug supply of fine grain pink salt when desert boondocking for the possibility that my retail water sources use Reverse Osmosis.
Love the info in your post. I (Todd) am a science major and now you have sent me down a rabbit hole to do some additional research. So thank you for taking the time. We will definitely take all you shared into consideration. Appreciate you watching.
At this point the message went sideways.. not trying to be rude …. I donate. Every month.. as Sheila said you need more subscribers to pay for the diesel…. You went from a average rig to a stars rig A Hollywood thing ? Not jealous.. but ? Things ..
Hey Bryan if you have questions just email us and we would be happy to answer them. It’s not about things this is a tool for what we have a vision to accomplish together- we get the same fuel miles as we did with Shrek & this truck cost us less $ than Shrek did -
Also sent you a message in the FC community -
@@SwitchItUpLifeBut by the time you did all of the modifications how much did it cost ?
@@SwitchItUpLife No worries. No ? Just like wow happy for the crew . My comment has been taken wrong . Looking forward to New York. A little to much beer with friends that day . My apologies.
So you have been able to get the rig into and out of a few spots now. From a boondocking experience how is the rig for consumption of power vs solar intake?
Is it too late to join so I can see the build series?
Hey there! The documentary is a great binge watch 😉 and you can find it under the join feature called Fan- we post RV Reviews there as well but currently that’s where the documentary series is available at.
I want a rig similar to yours
Get you some sponsorship like they did and you can get one !
Thank you - hope you can determine which rig will be best for you!
I think you kinda missed the boat not going with a Volta system. You could have set yourself up for the future.
Todd you should hook up with the guy in Florida looking for the big python, he has hundreds of shorts on YT. He goes out looking for pythons and other animals that do not belong in Florida.
I reached out to him and he never responded. It would be fun
C4YT 😊
Why wouldn't you go for a 48volt system instead of 12 volt?
It 8 300 amp hr batteries set up as 48volt providing 30.2 Kw.
@@SwitchItUpLife Ok nice. I thought you said it was 12v in the video.
C4YT❤
I’m waiting to see your backing skills ? You say that you got some credits for backing your Grand Design ?None of this straight back up stuff lets see some 45 degrees or blind backing.

What happen to your intro????
It’s still there -
Don't minimize your CZcams channel too much guys, as us Canadians that follow you guys & gals, CZcams is our link to what's going on, where we unfortunately can't spend as much time in the U.S. and like myself tucked away in the western corner of B.C. don't have the luxury to catch up with much of the group! Nonetheless, our Class A Tiffin, allows us to go two weeks before dumping the black tank (no macerator here), and our 100 gallons of water lasts us well enough, 'albeit' we tend to not boondocks a lot, but once in a while for 3 - 4 days. We do have four Lithium house batteries, so 400 Ah, and our residential fridge does drain them somewhat, so our generator is needed when boon docking, which perturbs my wife, saying she can smell diesel! Thanks Todd for the basement instruction on the many components etc.
Thank you - this is great encouragement.
Looks like they sold you every item in the "you're a sucker and we saw you coming from a mile away" catalogue!🤑💸
Their sponsors paid for those items!
Cool part is we get to give our opinions good and bad to help others. Are our decisions the best? We don't know right now but we will find out. Thanks for jumping in and leaving a comment. Truly appreciate you even taking time to watch.
Yeah you would love for 2 or 3 K people to attend your huddle
As it only cost you an arm & leg to attend and to top it of have the huddles in a high price resorts people are so naive they dont realize their just putting money in your pocket, its not like you're some big celebrity.
Thanks for sharing your opinion but different strokes for different folks
Oh my that negativity surprised me.
They are sharing with us and if we decide to attend one of their events so be it. Doesn't mean that you have to.
I've enjoyed the channel so far and expect that I will continue to.
From what I’ve watch, I don’t believe they force you to attend huddles. I think what they are doing is awesome. I personally would love to meet at a huddle. It’s just money, we can make more tomorrow plus I’m sure it isn’t cheap to put a huddle on.
Totally appreciate your thoughts. Get ready Rv Revolution Rally and Boondocking make for lower prices and fun. Also have you seen crew Campouts? They are small great get together with friends. We have different events.
