Did they have a sign at the posh hotel saying “No Janners”? 🤣 Great video, as always. If it’s any consolation, I often get exactly the same feeling as you had in Bath. You look forward to going somewhere all week, you get there, something happens to fluster you (even the most minor of things) and suddenly all you want to do is leave. I cut short my weekend van stay last weekend when exactly that happened. Staying in a van/car alone, you have lots of time to think, but also lots of time to over-think things, and sometimes that can bring on anxiety. Love what you’re doing though, and it was great to see you looking so relaxed and happy at the final campsite. Keep up the great work!
Hey Chris! Sorry for my slow reply I haven’t had the best signal. That’s exactly how it feels! Only takes something small to put you off and ruin the experience and I think I was already nervous being there. It was so overwhelming let alone having someone drive at me too haha 🤦🏽♀️😂. Was definitely calmer when I got to the campsite it was a lovely place 😊 Hopefully no more “no janners” signs 🤣❤️
I bought myself a campervan beginning of this year been away a few times myself parking up off grid but always a bit wary when parking up for the night,so this time decided to try a campsite for one night the one i picked didn't take bookings you just turn up. I must admit every day's an adventure when touring because you never really know we're your going to end up parking. I like you're video uploads because they give me ideas of places to go 👍

I had this problem too and ended up with a really rubbish one with so many problems. Start with a car and work up to a van so you can do adventures sooner 😊💕
Plenty of places near us to stay, you can go and park up at Stonehenge or woodhenge with the other camper vans.
Seeing Stonehenge would be incredible I’ve always wanted to go! 😍

Yeah you and I are really similar with that! Crowds make me really nervous. I can handle it if it’s somewhere like a theme park but even then I’d rather go on a quiet day 😂 Like the quiet too much haha
Concerts are the best crowds especially rock concerts you get to go crazy and go wild 🎸🥁🤟🤘
Hi Ellie, I have just subscribed to your wonderful channel, I was homeless for 2 years and slept in my car and I can tell you now you are doing a fabulous job well done, and with the scared days/nights we all get scared at some point but when ever I get that way I always think of one particular happy thought and all is well again. I'm doing well. Anxiety is everywhere it's weird more people I speak to they suffer it as well, I've been like it many years and also a terrible over thinker. Glad your over coming it. It shows that your a happy person

Save up and get yourself a vehicle you can be more comfy in and also carry more grocery supplies, well, more of everything actually. I would suggest the biggest you can handle or learn to handle. It won't be so nimble for parking and such but generally you will be happier.
I had a van with so many problems. Cost me a fortune to fix and that’s why I’m with the car for now. But you never know there might be some better vehicle options as I save up 😄💕

I don't know of you'll find this reassuring or not but I also get scared as a single man when I'm staying in my car. The first night I stayed in my car I stayed about 15 mins from my house in a lay-by set back from the road. A car pulled into the layby in front of me about 2am, lights coming in around the reflector in my windscreen. I woke up, adrenaline pumping, my heart hammering in my chest. I was like that for about 15 mins before they left, then it took me a while to calm down enough to sleep.
I'm still super new to car camping, nothing bad has happened so far, but it's the unknown especially when your window covers are up and you can't see out.
Thanks for your videos, I'm really enjoying seeing the places you visit. I want to go and visit the Jurassic Coast soon!

By the way I would get something like a spirit level for the car so you can confidently park on level ground (sleeping on uneven ground can cause your blood to pool on one side of the body, which isn't good. It would also help when cooking)
That’s a really good idea I didn’t think of that! I often park on uneven ground when there’s nowhere else and it’s so uncomfortable! It’s something I’m going to try to stop doing 😊

Usually always want to avoid city areas for safety of driving and personal. In my opinion anyways..but least get yourself a bat or something for protection for over nighters maybe. Keep traveling tho!

Very nice video as always. I do have a little advice though as far as you having to worry about where you park or if someone is coming up to your vehicle. You can buy a dash cam that links to your phone and it is motion sensored. So it is kind of like having a camera for your vehicle. You can check that throughout the night instead of having to peak through the curtains and stuff. We gotta have you safe out there so you can keep entertaining us. If you'd like I can look around for a good one for you and post the link on this comment. I feel like that would come in very handy for you. Well can't wait till your next video and safe travels on your next adventure.

@@EleanorGraceDiaries Depending on how much you want to spend the company Ring actually has a pretty good one, if someone approaches your car and it comes up on your phone you can actually tell them to back off through the mic on the camera, its like the Ring doorbell but for your car lol. Then the brand Nexar is pretty good too. I'm sure you don't want to spend much on this but lemme know what your price range is and I will look some up for you. I work remote so I have a lot of free time on my hands lol.

Haha a coffee machine in the car would be amazing! I have a jackery but only use it for my laptop as it’s a 240. I’m thinking of installing a proper battery with a solar soon if I can 😊
Car camping is fun. I stayed four nights at Bath Park and Ride. Free if you use the bus into town. Safe, no bother from anyone. ilona

@@EleanorGraceDiaries Lansdown Park and Ride is massive. Room for campervans, motorhomes, trucks, and coaches. There are toilets, a bit basic but a quick in and out for 20p in the door is ok. People turn up in the morning, dump their cars, and go to work on the bus. They come back later, get in their car and go home. I saw some cars which never seemed to move at all. Good for long term parking. I asked cleaner who turned up to clean the bus shelter how they can check if someone has used the bus. He said, they can't. I have a bus pass so I don't get a ticket.

You are definitely having the most amount of fun even if you are sometimes scared and get upset. Yeah Bath can be a very crazy place to drive even at the quiet times. Normally the people outside the Jane Austen place are normally dressed up. I didn't blame you for leaving Bath as that was very busy. You are getting braver exploring the southwest. Thank you Adam I’m all good now but it really shook me up. I did record it but decided not to put it in. Someone drove at my car and I had to swerve onto the pavement and try to avoid people. I think after that I was like it’s time to leave 😂

Welcome to car life, those nerves will settle, the hard part is finding a sleeping spot, but you soon start not giving a sh.t 😂. You can get a decent flask that can keep water hot for 24hrs, i say hot lol, i mean warm enough 😂.
Definitely need a MASSIVE coffee flask! (Not that I can fit much in the car as it is!) 😂 Yeah I agree I’m finding that I’m using campsites a lot more often than stealth now 😊💕
@EleanorGraceDiaries you'll have to do what a lot of us car life people do and build a bed so you have a little more storage underneath. It's made a massive difference for me. It doesn't need to be big. I can fit a sink bowl with all my pans and a box of clothes under mine. I've made mine so it can go from a single bed to a double bed. So i can still use a single seat in the back.

Hi Eleanor. I ran a paranormal group for 4 years and we have investigated numerous hotels whilst we were a team. I'm more inclined to say that hotels with this name are not haunted but what your paying for is the myth..prisons are notorious for being haunted but you would have had some sort of activity on your stay if this was as haunted as made out to be..They can get away with charging 220 a night because people will pay it in the hope of getting some ghostly phenomena but 99% of the time you'll come away disappointed..its nice looking however.

Oh Andy I’m so sorry you’ve been in so much pain! 😔 It’s going to be amazing when you finally get to see the surgeon. You’re so brave for dealing with this and sending you lots of positive thoughts! It hasn’t been too bad on the road but I’ve had to stay local recently as the car is waiting to go into the garage next week. I’m planning to head abroad soon when this work is done so getting there 😊
