  • Unused, unfinished levels from Sonic Classic 2 unlikely to ever see an actual release. Revamped Classic 1 levels alongside some custom Sonic 2 levels based on S2 betas. I really do hope he comes back to the game to finish these up and patch some bugs, but if he doesn't, at least the source and some prototypes are out there.
There are also a bunch of S1 and S2 level remakes in the files but these aren't as interesting and often only have collision, lacking any actual visuals, similar to how Hidden Palace displays here.

I wish someone actually ripped the track from Desert Dunes because its SO good. There was someone who actually ripped it, but they later unlisted the video for no reason as well as the other track rips from these unfinished levels. I asked them why on several of their videos and never got a response once. Then they probably privated/deleted them because I don't see them anymore in my playlists.

The tracks are pretty easy to find in the game's folders, but I always planned on uploading the SC1 remake tracks on here so I'll prolly just do that now.

@@snoogleflorp9237 No.. thats not the problem. I have a MAC computer, and I'm pretty sure Sonic Classic 2 is only for windows. Plus I don't have the time to load up an windows emulator to try and rip it myself so..

All the music is just OGG files in the game's zip folder, you don't need to be able to run the game to access the music files. If it helps, I threw up a google drive folder with all of the music. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1De5ZUyycPc-eGQiyQBkb5WXco0wcEY9y?usp=drive_link

You can actually fix the S1 and S2 levels to include proper collision and visuals (and remove lag on some PC's which i had). There's a backdrop object on a specific layer (most likely layer 5) the backdrop object uses the semi-transparent effect so you won't be able to see it but it is there. Remove it and add a Picture object, one for collisionground and the other for the foreground (you can find these in the BG_art directory) . Then just set the collisionground Picture semi-transparent and make the collision type an obstacle and you have a functioning S1/S2 level. (also fun fact, you can actually access these levels normally without the need of the game's source code. in time trials, if you select a level and then immediately press down, you'll have the locked level selected and you'll be able to play it. not sure if it still works due to the 1.6 update)

Yeah I was just too lazy to go through all the levels and fix 'em lol, and I kinda wanted this video to be the game entirely unedited.

@@snoogleflorp9237 It really isn't that hard. I even made my own Custom prototype esque build out of it. It has many fixes with the unfinished S1 and S2 levels, and it also has the old pre 2020 save menu.

I never said it was hard, but it would require like, an extremely mild amount of effort...and you've seen my level select. Cool that you added back the old save menu though. Always kinda preferred that design. I really hope Hez at least releases a version of the source code where you can look up and down on slopes properly. Only thing stopping me from messing with the source more, really.

Dumb question but how can you access to them?
