i got the "solo6 be" and love those so much! would surely buy the twins with some more money in my pockets :) but even the "solo6 be" helped me alot to be able to do mixes that translate good on all speakers. thumbs up for Focal! :)
I think it's actually really weird with these top producers purchasing very expensive monitors claiming they do it for the "truest" sound with the most linear frequency response and then afterwards telling they have a subwoofer enforcing the low end. That just baffles me. Can anybody tell me why they do that?
it's all about accuracy. 6 inch cones cannot accurately reproduce 30hz. So it's about not driving them so hard and getting the main detail and using the sub to enhance what they can't produce. Hope that helps!

Because clubs have a ton of bass and they want to hear what that bass sounds like.
