Thanks for being my stitching companion today! Loved all the stories about your trip!
Looks like such an amazing trip together! Loved seeing the big smiles throughout while you were talking about your trip!
So enjoyed hearing about and seeing all about your trip. Thank you so much.❤❤❤😊
Wow what a fabulous video. Thank you for sharing your adventures with.
That was the longest flosstube I’ve ever watched but worth every minute. Loved seeing the stitchy spots and hearing about your trip.
Wow! That was a stitchers trip of a lifetime! My daughter lives in Durham, North Carolina so I must stop at sassy jacks soon. Thank you so much for taking us along! ❤
Please do! It is totally worth the drive.
What a wonderful trip you ladies had going to the cross stitch shops, Peach World and all around. Enjoyed hearing about your travels.
Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun.
Glad you had a great trip. Love your videos. Thanks for sharing the footage from your trip. Happy Stitching and enjoy your 4th of July holiday.
Glad you both had such a wonderful trip!
Wow ladies what a fantastic trip. It looks like you had an amazing time . Thanks for sharing your videos and photos. Your haul was fabulous and I was laughing at E.J , raising her eyebrows at Shelia’s “beige” fabric stash.😂 It was lovely seeing Deb in your photos. Now to the job of putting it all away…….. love and blessings xx
Putting my haul away took hours, but it's done.
I was DYING when EJ Googled HAM. She landed on a tame interpretation - I always understood it to be an acronym for Hard As a MFer 🤣
That’s exactly what HAM is and I can’t wait for the reaction from these comments next week!!!
EJ when you say “ma’am”…I lose it😂😂. I’m envious of Shelia’s new neutral stash! Glad you had a fabulous Summer Road Trip🎉🎉
Great video. I enjoyed every minute. Thanks for sharing. Saw a pattern I have to get.
Nice WIPs Shelia!!!
Looks like y'all had a fabulous trip and did some great retail therapy!!!
Hi, what a terrific road trip!! Thank you for the video store tours!! I’d love to visit all the stores on your trip.
Take care, and happy stitching!!
Your videos put a smile on my face, they are a lot of fun to watch!
Thank you. We enjoy making them.
Sounds like a blast of a trip! Glad yall had fun. I wouldn't know what to do if I saw that floss wall lol! I told my husband that if I ever took a trip like yall ... I'd have to have like at least $5k saved up just for spending money! 🤣 love the wips, love the haul. Happy stitching ladies and thank you for sharing your trip and everything with us!
Nice starts and WIPS EJ!!!
Marvelous trip. You visited all of my favorite shops in SC and NC. Loved your phone story. Had me laughing with you.
OMG! Those thread walls! I can see how you were drawn straight to them , Shelia. EJ I love your fabric choices. So glad you both had a wonderful road-trip and have returned home safely.
Looks like yall had a wonderful trip. Wish had been available to met yall at Barefoot. Thanks for sharing it all with us.
What a fun video!
Hi ladies! Thanks for sharing your road trip with us! I have shops to add to my "want to visit" list :). Happy Stitching!
From the sounds & looks of it, your trip was amazing! Dont think you would have been able to pull me away from the thread wall or out of the fabric room! 😅
Thanks for taking us along!
Thank you so much for sharing all of this!! I feel like I was right there on your stitchy road trip with you! And I’m glad you didn’t encounter any bears after all :D
I love your friendship. How wonderful to take such a fun trip together. It’s so fun seeing haul and floss and fabric changes. It’s very encouraging to make a pattern your own. Glad you had such a great time.
Bucees is AMAZING!!!!
Loved hearing about your trip. When a friend and I drove to Branson for years, we tried not to go below half a tank of gas. My husband said once you hit a half tank, the gas goes faster. The haul - WOW!!! Hey, you only live once!!!
And you can't take it with you.
I love Cosmo threads!
EJ the Tootle berry fabric is gorgeous❣️ (baby got back) muted Sedona looks perfect for “Tonight we Ride” by Autumn Lane.
Oh wow! Thank you!
I experienced Buc-ee's for the first time at the beginning of June. Oh my the brisket sandwich is heaven. 😋 Loved this episode you all did. Your trip sounds wonderful. You all are a hoot.😂🤣❤️
I enjoyed your video! I watched it on several different times to get it all in. I went to Sassy Jack's when they had the old store. I was on a trip with friends (who don't stitch) and they made a special trip there for me. They had closed early for a town parade but opened up for me. It was so nice and Kim's staff were wonderful. Just me and they didn't hurry me.😊
She is fantastic and her current team are fantastic.
Thank you!
aWESOME!!
Ham could be like went hog wild lol loved every minute
Oh my goodness, this video! 🥰Thanks so much ladies, for sharing very thorough shop tours, and all the travel footage, your investments. It looks like you had a great time, and had time to get some good stitching in, too. Enjoy the rest of the week, and Happy 4th of July! ❤
❤😂 What a road trip!!!! I’ve always understood HAM to mean Hard as a Motherfluffer (this is the clean non-sailor word as my mom would say😂😂).
Thank you for the definition. I think you are right.
What a great video, a wonderful story of your travel experiences and shopping. So glad you are back. Happy stitching.
What a fabulous trip! Loved seeing all the goodies. You ladies are so fun to watch!!
Thanks for the fun recap of your trip! Being out west, I may never get a chance to visit some of these shops, but it is great to have a picture in my mind of what they look like, and I just might be able to add in a side trip to other travel in my future! Your haul is fabulous, too! Happy stitching!
I looked and sounded like you all had a fabulous time, and I see Deb made it up too. I’ll make it to Sassy Jacks one day. Hopefully soon rather than later. It’s good to see you both with smiling faces. What a fantastic opening for Sassy Jacks to have so many great stitchers there. Happy Stitching 🧵🪡
It was fantastic.
Under the Sea fabrics in San Antonio TX, hangs their fabric too. So much easier to find want you are looking for.
You must be talking about the Dames Point bridge in Jacksonville. Yep it's definitely a tall one.
Love you two.
So nice to meet you both at Sassy Jacks!
We enjoyed meeting you. Thank you so much for coming by.
It was great to hear about your trip and thanks for the tips on the shops. Enjoy your newbies.
How fun!! I didn't realize NC was so lovely. Those houses! I loved seeing all those finishes, some new inspiration for FFOs. I felt like I was with y'all. Thanks for bringing us on your adventure!
I will also say - on a road trip - Aldis. Clean bathrooms, no lines, and snacks available in the deli area.
Great tip!
Glad you Ladies had such a good time on your trip. It was fun hearing about it. Driving in the mountains of NC is quite different from the rest of the state. Loved seeing your haul. You both bought some fun patterns. I also need to buy the Summer Quaker from Primrose Cottage.
A cross stitch road trip has moved way up on my bucket list. Love all of your stories and investments. Thanks for sharing!
What a fabulous trip you both enjoyed- I can just imagine all the laughter, great times and fun shopping experiences. Thank you so much for sharing your trip
Wow enjoyed hearing about your trip. I look forward to visiting those shops someday. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for taking us along on your trip. Great to see everyone in the pics!
What a pleasant way to spend my Sunday morning while my husband is at Red Cross donating platelets. Shelia I am with you on filling my car tank when it gets to the one quarter mark. My Daddy operated on the theory that as long as the needle was wavering on the E you were okay; you didn’t need to worry until the needle made a dead stop to the left of the E. There was one time he coasted into our driveway and siphoned had out of my car to get to the gas station.
Oh my goodness! That is too low. The anxiety alone would kill me.
I loved this movie! Sheila, your colors on Turkish Delight are beautiful. I’ve only heard the “ham” expression on Evertotes channel. I thought it was a Canadian word! lol. EJ, I thought i would die laughing when you were playing Vanna with Sheilas fabric. I was reading your lips the whole time. I really appreciated all the videos and pictures. I’ve never been to a cross stitch store, so this was so exciting. It’s not fair that Asheville has at least two shops and I have none within 5 hours of me in California. It’s so green there. I guess you get green when you have humidity. It’s so brown here, no rain. ❤
Hello ladies! Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us, I lived vicariously through you! Lol! I’m so happy you both had such an amazing time and got to go to all those beautiful shops! I live in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 and am very fortunate to live only 30 minutes away from my LNS shop. I would love someday to travel to a lot of the LNS stores that I’m always hearing about on Flosstube. It was so cool that we got to have a look inside all of the gorgeous shops that you filmed for us, what a treat! I have to say I think the both of you did pretty good on your shopping considering everything you saw! It would have been so easy to go crazy! 😂 Lol! Well done! ❤
We are indeed fortunate to be able to visit so many stores. Maybe you could visit one of the Canadian stores while you travel around.
@@SunshineStitchers
Yes it would definitely be a good excuse to travel! Lol. My daughter lives in Alberta now and I definitely plan on visiting Traditional Stitches in my future!
Great road trip! Thanks for sharing! ~Michele
What a great video! So glad you two had such a great time! Looked like so much fun, and all that haul, especially you Shelia! Better than going to a candy store LOL EJ I will see you at the NJ Retreat in a few weeks.
What? You mean...I wasn't in a candy store! OMG!!
Just fabulous, I just can so appreciate you ladies sharing all the things, glad you had sunshine after going trough a bout of rain. Highlights are the shops for sure, I would have been like a kid in a candy shop who had eaten some of the candy, totally off the walls. Thank you, thank you! 😊
What? You mean I wasn't in a candy shop...OMG!!
Under the Sea Fabrics in San Antonio TX also hangs/displays their fabrics from racks and hangers. Patricia
I’m so glad you were back to have Sunday morning coffee with me this morning! I’ve been having coffee with you ladies every Sunday morning for years and missed you last Sunday 😉. You didn’t know that, did you?😂 Actually I had coffee, breakfast AND stitching time with you today! I’m so jealous of your trip! It sounds amazing……and the investments OMG. So happy for you and glad you had a wonderful trip. See you next Sunday!
I will give you advance notice: We will miss another weekend this month. EJ has travel and I will take a break. Thank you so much for having coffee with us every weekend.
I loved hearing all about your road trip and seeing your video footage and seeing all the goodies that you brought back. Your wips and current projects are all looking so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure.
Wow it sounds like a great trip. What fantastic haul both of you. Great variety of patterns. What a problem deciding what to start first. What will each of you start first from your new purchases? Happy stitching.
Each of us started projects kitted from each store. I had 4 starts.
I like neutral fabrics too, everything I buy looks suspiciously the same 😂
I see nothing wrong with that!
EJ I have Baby Got Back Stitch and Who Let The Frogs Out. I need Hoop There It Is :D
I have all of them. Seeing EJ's made me want to start.
Your road trip sounds so awesome! But I am glad you are back home to make videos.
Ladies, I am just so jealous!!!! I could spend hours, days in each one of those shops!!!!!! But you have inspired me to go exploring!!!!
As always one of your greatest fans Karen xxxx
Definitely go cross stitch store exploring. It is so much fun.
It was so exciting to hear about your trip. What a great way to travel and see so many things. Loved the stories about your adventure and all the fun.
Thank you for sharing your trip. I really DON’T appreciate you sharing your haul! Ugh you enabling fools🤪😜(Can’t wait for my order to arrive.🤣😂🤣)
I know!! You're welcome.
No pictures from Peach World!!! This was so fun. You 2 are perfect together. I have been to Peach World!!! Yes, small and not fancy but FULL of great peach foods and the staff were great!
Thank you ladies!!!
I completely agree. I'm glad we stopped there.
Oh, Your trip sounded like such fun! I am so jealous...Shelia - the two model stitches you were gifted brought tears to my eyes! What a beautiful thing to do! The pattern that you bought from the shop in North Carolina...what a perfect one to memorialize that place for your trip! Isn't North Carolina well know for the Outer Banks? EJ - Rovaris R115 is called Scissor Alphabet. Peach jam!!!! *I drool!* I won't eat canned peaches but fresh...and if I go to a restaurant and they have peach pie --> Yes, please! Thank you very much! OMG you both had so many patterns that you picked up that I can't even remember them all. I may have to watch this again and take notes...Thanks for a great video! I got lots done on my Deadly Aquarium SAL! Have an amazing week!
Yes, NC has the Outer Banks. This was definitely a video to get a lot of stitching done.
Thanks for a great video. You ladies had an amazing trip. EJ, what is the exact name of the scissors you bought at Sassy Jack’s. Happy Stitching ladies.
The scissors are a Premax, made in Italy. I just threw away the box.
We have a Buc-ee’s in our town! Love to go there.
The snacks are amazing.
I just LOVE you two - I want to be living next door to hang out and stitch all the time!
Wonderful review of your trip - feel like I was along. How do we sign up to participate in your next trip?! ;-)
We are planning something for 2025 but no decisions have been made. We are part of a stitching group that likes to visit cross stitch stores and stitch. Our locations are picked by consensus.
What a wonderful trip you had! And so glad you got to take a scenic route through the city of your adventure! When we made a final move to this city, whenever we would go to get into the car, the kids would ask me, "Are we going to have an adventure, Mom?" Of course we did and it was such fun. (This is now an hour in, and I am taking a break to get some dishes done - watching is my reward and of course one has to have rewards before starting.)
I totally understand. I have to have a reward to do housework.
It looks like you had a wonderful trip. I am jealous. Someday I am going to go on a trip like you did (even if I have to go by myself). The giveaway you had was so much work for you but SO much for us. In my neck of the woods, "going ham" means you went "whole hog" or "all in". The needle holders are a great idea.
WE are so glad you enjoyed it.
What a fun trip, except for the rain.. Glad you go to experience it all together. I have a couple of questions... When EJ drove, was it fast enough for Shelia? And aside from the chenille trim, did either of you know what you wanted to buy? We all know that Shelia is going to buy fabric, but were there charts you were looking for? Threads you needed or just wanted for your stash? I have no idea what I am doing in a cross stitch shop. One factor is my budget restricts me. I can't remember the last chart I bought. Two, how do you browse for charts? I was going to ask how one store had that charts grouped, but I can't remember which one I was wondering that about. I think either BN or TSK. I would need a day and a shopping buddy to help me tackle the charts.
Shelia is a nervous passenger, having survived 3 car accidents as a passenger. 3 of the times I knew we were going to hit the other car. EJ's speed was fine. We both had list, but I (Shelia) totally forgot about it. I think EJ did complete her list. The charts were unplanned. "Need" is not in my stitchy lexicon. "Want" is my operative word, for sure. We just walk around and look. Of course, there are favored designers and those we don't stitch. I look for "new to me designers.
@@SunshineStitchers thank you so much for your answers. (my preretirement budget is based on need. Once I retire, I will need to resort to begging. ha ha.
Do you ladies have buy me a Kofi??
HAM- Hard as a MFer
Ahhhh! That makes sense.
