Great first Flosstube! Love your stitching and looking forward to your next video. Happy stitching! Finishing your projects would give you your stitching history. Aida stitching is beautiful, and it is where you began. One thread length a day will give you a finish! Good luck with whatever you decide
Welcome to Flosstube, great first video! I enjoyed seeing all of your beautiful WIPs. Sounds like we have a similar stitching journey. Looking forward to seeing your finishes!
What a debut! Thanks for sharing your stitching. I am amazed you get my stitching done with FT work and a toddler. I guess not commuting must help. Your journey from Aida to evenweave and I am sure then to linen is interesting. Don’t buy too much of anything until you finally settle. I have lots of 32 count and now I stitch almost entirely on 36 count with one strand. This year I started the Book of Days but you could just use any month to a view diary. I set easy goals on about 6 of my 9 WIPS, eg one sampler row, half the roof of a house, one Quaker motif, touch a project for one day. I am making much better progress with this method and I know I can achieve these goals and more. With FT work and three teens, I have to be strategic with my stitching if I want finishes. Take care. Kate in Melbourne
I have done WIPGO for the last couple of years. I really have enjoyed it. I would give yourself an easy goal to begin with. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work.
You did awesome for your first flosstube. Congratulations. 👏🏻👏🏻 Oh, I hope you continue to finish your old projects that you have started, they are so pretty. Have one out, to pick up when you need to stitch but you really don't have much time or need to concentrate and use those as fill-in projects for those times. With a little one, you may not have time for a lot of congratulations, but you need to stitch and do the fill in on those old projects. 😊 Happy Stitching!
I’m so glad that you found the courage to make flosstube videos. I am still waiting for mine to come in 😂. I loved your first video. You are wonderful and your work is beautiful. I stitch similar things to you. I’m will go ahead and watch the next video. Thank you for posting! ❤
Great 1st flosstube ! Hello neighbor. I'm in western Mass. 😊 I have many projects stitched on Aida. When I started 30ish years ago, I bought projects kitted and aida was always the fabric picked for the kit. I like to stitch on evenweave and linen. You can do it, don't be afraid lol. Start small.
Lovely first Flosstube, beautiful projects 😊 Your Aida stitching is fantastic & with much love I think you would be crazy to restart all those charts! 🙋♀️🇨🇦
So glad you started a Flosstube - great job and love your projects! Zippers and plastic bags are great - they’re a part of stitchy life, I believe! Your kit projects (market cart and ornaments) are amazing!! I feel your pain with lack of time. My thoughts on WIPgo and journals and the like are that they are all something else that would take up time that I could just be stitching! Have to be stingy with my time! Looking forward to your next plus tube.🎉❤
Love all your projects! I enjoy stitching on Aida since it goes pretty fast for me. I would keep doing the projects to complete them since you have put so much time into them already. Well done for your first Flosstube! There is another Flosstuber that just stitches Dimension kits. It's fun to watch her she is very passionate as well! Don't put pressure on yourself for stitching since it is a hobby that we are to love! Thanks for sharing.
Great first flosstube! Keep on stitching your Aida projects. I’ve been stitching 41 years and have a collection of everything…it’s all part of the journey. I’ve had some of my really old pieces reframed to update them to a more modern look. Look forward to seeing your next video. Anne in Ohio
It was enjoyable to see all your lovely things. I did Star spangled street a few years ago, when I discovered Primrose Cottage Stitches. I am glad to say I finished it on something I found at HL. I am a seasonal stitcher. My thing is I finish them and don’t always FFO them, and sometimes they never get finished. Oh well…it’s our hobby…must enjoy it. Hope to see more of your channel.
Hi Shannon! Your first video was great, and many of us like to see stitching whether it’s ironed or not. 😊 Regarding your Aida dilemma, I suggest hanging on to those projects and when your child is older you may like to grab those for traveling around to different kid activities. I enjoy all fabrics but I can only stitch on Aida in the car, and I like to bring them when I know the lighting will be poor or I just want to give my brain a break, etc. I’m subscribed and look forward to your next update. Happy stitching! -Leah Noel
Hi Shannon! You have a pleasant personality and seem to like a lot of the same designers I do, so I thoroughly enjoyed your Flosstube #1. I’ve been stitching longer than you’ve been alive and still enjoy Aida, so unless you don’t like stitching on it anymore or don’t like it’s look, there is no reason not to finish. One thing I like about Aida is that everything looks precise. Depending on the linen, it can have slubs and uneven fibers that I do not always like. I do hope you finish your Fall on the Farm piece, to start over on 32 count will give you the same size and look that you already have on 16 count Aida. Having said that, with a full time job and a baby, I do think you should spend your time stitching what you love! And yes, I also love the crinkle of bags and zippers! Hope to see you continue!
Hi thank you so much for your kindness, it means alot! I’ve already pulled back out some Aida projects and I’ve been getting stitches in and really enjoying it 😊 more to come in terms of an update on my next flosstube. I hope you have a great week!
Great first video!! Really enjoyed watching you!!! Thank you for sharing your WIPS, loved them all!! Looking forward to watching more videos from you!!
Great floss tube! Love your project choices. Don’t be ashamed of your Aida pieces. They are gorgeous. It’s a journey of finding new things and still loving the old ones. Enjoy all of them. 😊
Bravo! Your stitches are beautiful! And such big challenges! WOW! I have never tried aida. I just started last fall, and only have used 40 count. My girls are all grown now, but a wise friend told me to choose my battles in raising them. I think the same goes for cross stitching. Choose the paths that you enjoy.
Great video, you are a natural! Love the farm cart piece. I remember Chelsea saying that the Lantern Lane house was as big as the Home Alone house in regard to stitching. I never thought about the sound of zippers but I love the sound of clothes in the dryer...
Great flosstube! Your Aida pieces are beautiful! Don’t give up on them, we all started on Aida it’s Beautuful! Enjoy motherhood the time I’ll go by too fast. P
Hi Shannon, lovely to meet you and spend time with you while sharing your WIPs. Great first video and look forward to the future ones. Take care and happy stitching 🌷🌷 from Judy in New Zealand FT An Aussie in a Kiwi world
I just came across your video while waiting to start work! I work for corporate America in LTC claims as well. I also work from home! Working from home is a blessing and gives me so much more time for stitching. I enjoyed your video and I can't wait to see more ❤
Loved your video and your WIPs!! I recommend WIPGO for motivation. You can set your own goals..five days, five hours, five hundred stitches, just an example. I’ve been stitching for almost fifty years and while I prefer evenweave I keep Aida projects going too.
Lovely first flosstube. Don’t apologise for Aida. You should always stitch what makes you happy. I use linen, evenweave and Aida. It’s fine really like your WIPs. You are a natural see you next time. happy Stitching ❤
Great job Shannon!! Your stitching is beautiful ! Fun to see your projects! Hate to see you restart those Aida projects! They look so good and are part of your stitching journey! I mean you do you, but gosh they do look good 🤷♀️ see you next time!!
Enjoyed your flosstube! Great job on all your WIPS, I especially am impressed with the Santa Dimensions kit! Wow! That one will be extra awesome when finished! Hope to see you again soon.
Good first video! I have been stitching since 1975. I have stitched on all kinds of counts and fabric. Your pieces are lovely. Abd let me tell you if you can stitch on lugana you can stitch on linen. I find Lugana really hard to stitch. Good luck hope you continue with making floss tubes.😊
Don't give up on your aida pieces. I've been stitching for 40 years & have stitched on pretty much all the fabrics. I still love my pieces that were done on aida even if they aren't full coverage. Pick one of your aida pieces & stitch on it in-between other projects. The end result will be worth it.
Great wips! I definitely would finish them even if it takes you a long time! Especially the ones that you have so much done on! But I do understand how your preferences change and it makes it harder to go back to them. I received the Dimensions ornaments kit for Christmas this year. I haven’t started them yet but seeing your progress makes me want to right away!
You came up in my feed, so I thought I would give you a few minutes. :-) I'd recommend WIPCO. This is my first year doing it and I've managed to stay up-to-date and have definitely put stitches in some older wip's. I don't understand when stitchers say they don't want to pressured or under stress. You choose the projects you want to work on and you choose what you want to be a goal for each. I've really enjoyed the year so far--even did an extra project when the free space was randomly chosen--and I've certainly seen progress. :-) Will be looking for your next video.
Thanks for watching and thank you for the information! I’ve never really looked into it but it sounds like a great way for me to get stitches in my projects, I will look into participating next year 😊
I LOVE your video. I’ve already subscribed so really looking forward to your next video and your stitching process. I’m always looking for Flosstubers who stitch projects I’m into and you are definitely one. You also enabled me with that Dimensions Santa. I just bought it. Please continue with these videos!!!
Love your farmstead stitch! All your projects are so much fun! I also enter items in our small county fair. I’m looking forward to your next flosstube ! 💕🧵
You should not give your Aida pieces away. They are just as pretty. I have Aida pieces and I plan to keep them. I also stitch on evenweaves and linen. Finish them and frame them. Let them be a part of your stitching legacy.
Beautiful wip so far. I have been cross stitching for a long time over 30 years or more. My mom started me on stamped embroidery from a book with iron on transfers. This is great for stressful days. I am an unemployed 61 year old looking for work, and this keeps my hands busy.
Fabulous first video! Lots of thoughts here...great WIP's, don't worry about ironing (I'd rather see what you had time to stitch than what you had time to iron), stitch what makes you happy (more people are stitching on everything and anything), and Susan at Keepsakes is Amazing! and I love what she kitted up for you! Looking forward to your next video!
Nice video! I’m glad I found you! You seem so familiar to me, so I thought maybe it’s just because you are my oldest daughters age, and my younger daughter is an insurance claims person… Then it dawned on me that you look and sound like that gal that played Sabrina the teenage witch. I hope you take that as a compliment. Keep going on that fall on the farm on the 16. I stitched it on 16 count beautiful beige and just love it!
Thank you so much, Definitely a compliment, I love that show! and what a small world with my age and work being so similar to your daughters 😊 happy stitching!!
Welcome to Floss-tube!! I really need to start that Primrose cottage stitch. I agree about the dimensions gold, it’s a challenge that’s for sure! Happy Stitching ❤
Great job on your first floss tube. Girl dont worry about ironing you’ve got better things to do. Love all your wips. Keep going you’ve got this floss tube thang nailed. Thank you for sharing a little piece of your journey. Have a great day.
Nice to find ya…My daughter in law turned 29 on the 17th of June. How funny….Loved all of your WIPS…much like my taste. I’m a full time nanny to my first and only grandchild born in Oct 2023 so I know how busy you are! I thought I’d be able to do lots of stitching while babysitting her but it’s almost impossible with an active 8 month old. Hope to see you finish all those AIDA projects. I’m an Aida girl because of my eyesight. Stitchey love from Arkansas. 🤩
Shannon you did a beautiful video. Your projects are beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.
Love your Dimensions Santa! I started 45 or so years ago with Dimensions and am getting back to them! Love your flosstube!
Great flosstube! I started on Aida 40 years ago, and will always be an Aida stitcher! So many nice soft Aida fabrics available now 😊
Great first Flosstube! Love your stitching and looking forward to your next video. Happy stitching! Finishing your projects would give you your stitching history. Welcome to Flosstube! Lovely projects and no need to apoligize for the lack of ironing. I don't iron before my Flosstube is filmed either.

I love it
You have to complete the village on AIDA. Sometimes we have to suck up our earlier starts. I just did the same.
Love your first video! I’m a aida stitcher .
Let's see it all...LOL
I enjoyed your flosstube and all of your wips. Your Santa is beautiful. I look forward to seeing your next flosstube. Beth @ems1852

I love them I’m from Massachusetts
Beautiful wip so far. I have been cross stitching for a long time over 30 years or more. My mom started me on stamped embroidery from a book with iron on transfers. This is great for stressful days. I am an unemployed 61 year old looking for work, and this keeps my hands busy.
You did a wonderful job on your first floss tube. Your stitching is beautiful and you have great projects. I hope to see you again in a month.
Welcome! I loved your WIPS, especially the dimensions ornaments, so pretty! I'm a mom of young children too, definitely no time for ironing. 😆
Nice first Flosstube. I'm a nutmegger now living in the Midwest. I miss CT so much! Your stitching is beautiful!!
Nice stitching, Shannon. Welcome to Flosstube.
Tremendous first video! You are a natural on camera. I loved all your WIPS!
