Other recipes call for cocoa butter, which can be hard to find. So, is there an alternative?
Yes, there sure is! You probably have all the ingredients in your pantry right now, too… like cocoa powder.
Whether you make little chocolate chips or bigger chunks makes no difference, the recipes are the same. Both recipes are not overly sweetened so adjust to suit your tastes as needed.
These homemade chocolate chips are also great for the freezer. Make several batches and freeze to be well-prepared for the baking season!
Of course, this is assuming you’ll actually have some to store! They’re so delicious, they may get gobbled up right away.

For those who never did this before, butter or coconut butter WILL MELT out of the fridge. Only COCAO BUTTER says hard out of the fridge. In fact, you don't even need to put it in the fridge let alone the freezer...

I tried this today..I had 2 problems. 1 is even though I used powdered sugar..I cud feel that it didn't melt when I ate . 2nd is after you remove from freezer,it melted and doesn't look like chocolate.any help ?

It's shouldnt melt but it will be sticky type... Which chocolate u made dark..
Try to add Icing sugar
(Icing sugar is made with sugar and Little cornflour)

This recipe is either not meant for hotter climates or isn't good enough. I made milk chocolate chocolate first and found it not firm enough, so when making white chocolate I added one more tablespoon of milk powder. I used margarine though, so maybe that was the problem. Butter is way too expensive
