Really great review. Super balanced and informative. Thank you. Looks a really great car. Hope that they generate, at some point, one that is lot shorter say 3.9m in length.
All very good etc, but what we want from MG is their most affordable and sensible EVs that's been on sale in Asia fpr years, from B segment to heavy quadricyle. Hell, did everyone forget about the MG Dynamo EV concept from a decade ago?
How on earth can you build a car like that and absolutely mess up the gauges? I am pretty sure that at some point they had a yoke in their sketches and when they found out people prefer a round steering wheel they were already finished with the 3 display production line. In fact, to me this is the biggest fault of the entire car. Need to check it out in the real flesh, might be the reason not to buy it. You do spend most time in your car not outside adoring it. 🤷🏼♂️
It's the main thing we criticised. It was definitely designed that way because the concept had a yoke. We don't think it's a dealbreaker, but it does prevent the Cyberster from being perfect.
Not an MG. They bought the name but they are not MG. Anyone who buys a Chinese car is putting money into the pockets of our enemy. A police state that hates freedom. Buy an MX5.
@@JohnCross-rz5uq nope, it's because batteries are still heavy. The Dacia Spring EV has a third of the battery capacity of this car. Hence it's much lighter. Also less than half the WLTP range.
@@WhichEV I do NOT think that it is the truth, car makers are lazy, so long as customers buy big and heavy cars, they do not make cars lighter, what do you REALLY need a car for !!!? NOT to drive 200mph ! NOT to do 0-60 in 3 seconds, most buy a car to try to have a "better" car than their neighbor, not to their own need. So it is easy to be a car seller ! Car reviewers do most often no good for cars AND car buyers !
@@JohnCross-rz5uq It's not about need, it's about want. Nobody needs a car that fast, but they want it. If you want a cheap, efficient EV buy the Dacia Spring. Different cars for different people.
Really good and informative video👍 thanks from Sweden 🇸🇪
Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words!
What you have as luggage space behind the seats is more than a Miata has to offer in total. And we took the Miata along to multiple 3 week trips.
Did you travel with just a strip of cardboard?
@@WhichEV Theorem: Amount of luggage is defined as to occupy 100% of space available, regardless of number of participants and duration of a trip.
Gorgeous lines but wrong colour? Wasn't there a yellow one?
They had a yellow one at the launch but we didn't get to drive it.
You were talking about the car, right?

Those could be coming. We've not heard specifically about them yet, but there will be a lot of new MG cars in the next year.
lovely cabrio!
We agree!

yes cheap like that have one550 hp today in thailand what you and rest say try buy one?????
is the roof metal or some sort of leather?
Yes, metal. Newly invented chinese fabric metal.
It's made of cloth.
I was getting absolutely sold on this car until the arrows on the back ruined it all.
There's always a subjective choice in any car design.

Nice arrows to my preference, especially for here is super busy traffic in Southeast Asia

Cyberster makes it sound like a Tesla, it should be called MG E.
It's a Cyber Roadster.
