- We had another conversation with David Wibergh, the founder and CEO of #OVPN.com and #VILFO.com. We look at the changes to the #VILFO #VPN routers that have taken place over the last year. When will Wireguard finally work with the VILFO router?
Likewise we go on the innovations with the own VPN service OVPN.com.
This interview is in English this time. A translation into German and other languages will be provided shortly and will be available as subtitles here.

Review VILFO Router: vpntester.org/vilfo/
Got the Vilfo VPN router. So far, really enjoying it. This router has literally the fastest reboot time I've ever seen on a router lol.
RAM(DDR3L) & SATA based storage(MSATA) is upgradable.(Wi-Fi card is detachable but not sure if it's upgradable not that it matters as I don't believe anyone uses It's Wi-Fi I certainly don't as VILFO is mostly a gateway for me)
Can't wait to see more flexibility in the OS though such as:
-More control over DHCP like disabling pruning for those who manage their network more actively and manually prune on their own.
-bug fixes that allow you to actually use the more granular "website by website" based control of the Chrome extension not just global settings
-fixing "restore" option to make the configuration backup option useful As the only way to back up is to literally take out the MSATA and create an image level backup.
(Note: luckily It's partitions are very small:
16 MB LINUX PARTITION AND ANOTHER LINUX PARTITION THAT is 3.8 GB

Interesting interview. I do like the product thinking of David, the founder! But now coming to the topic "selling the company" ;-) An update of the interview would be much appreciated, at least by me ;-) Because OVPN has been sold to PANGO, hasn't it? What will change, what has already changed? Is David still business manager - CEO etc? PANGO is an American company, what is the impact privacy wise etc... What about OVPNs / David values? etc....
Thank you for your interest in OVPN and the interview with David, the founder. You're correct; OVPN was indeed acquired by PANGO. As of my last update in September 2021, I don't have specific details about any changes or the current status of David's role within the company. However, it's a valid and important question to ask about the impact of such acquisitions on privacy and the company's values.

Cool !!
thx
Nice
My guess is that Vilfo and their Vilfo OS is abandonware nowadays. Last update was 15 months.
Wann soll wireguard kommen?
@@MiRe-lk6fq ich meine für den vilfo Router

bei Minute 7:23 geht es über Wireguard auf dem VILFO. Es sind deutsche Untertitel verfügbar, diese kannst Du aktivieren.
@@orbis8928 It's available now. I use it with surfshark via custom provider option. Very easy
